I have had LG oleds the past few years and am switching to Samsung QD Oled now. I thought id lose Dolby Vision, but it seems there is a work around. I Already had the advplus build on my AMB6+ so I could get FEL layer on my LG. I read today that you can switch from Tv Led to Player led and the ugoos box itself will then process the dynamic DV layer metadata and send it to the Samsung as HDR 10 , effectively giving you Dolby Vision on a Samsung tv

My Samsung doesnt arrive for a few more days so I cant test it, but I was in disbelief that this actually works. I hope I understand this right and have not gotten my hopes up for nothing. From what I read even DV FEL will play on the samsung with this and you can verify with test videos that only display properly when you see the full image or text.

I sure hope I'm reading about this workaround correctly because I was dissapointed thinking id lose dolby vision , but maybe actually I wont. I realize DV logo will never pop up on the samsung when content starts, but in the end I should be getting dynamic DV metadata on the screen even tho the samsung TV just thinks its regular old HDR10.

Has anyone else tried this, if so does it work well and what exact settings do you use in AdvPlus?

Just upgraded to ce22. Can anyone please point me in the direction of the compatible dovi ko file. I've tried a couple but none have worked. I've also tried using the NO build and the NG build . Thanks for any help!

Jamal repo suddenly stopt working.
I updated it to https://ce-repo.github.io/repository.jamal2362/ but also unable to connect. Does anyone know the correct link?

Edit: can install the repo via the zip bit the repo is unable to connect. Error log: 2026-05-18 22:53:15.623 T:7470 error <general>: Repository add-on repository.jamal2362 does not have any directory matching 21.3.0 and won't be able to update/serve addons! Please fix the addon.xml definition

I tried TV Preset on Auto but then it chooses HDR10+ over DV which I don't want. Same thing happens if I select Samsung as the TV brand so for now I leave it on manual so I can have DV chosen instead of HDR10+ when both are present.

I have a Samsung TV QN90D so use player led to get DV on it.

Hey Everyone thinking of jumping into getting the AM6B Plus box...Question how much better is this box compared to a R-evolution Android TV 8k media player which Does support everything the am6b+ does and you wouldn't need to download anything to it...Im having a hard time on which box is best for now & future....R-evolution is abit over priced but as a have a theater room i would want the best in a box....Thanks for All feed back

Sup everyone, i just installed CoreELEC 21.3 with Avdvplus R9 on Am6B+ and i gotta admit im a bit confuse lol i have a Sony Bravia 8 II what DV type should i choose? From my understanding VS10 is only a converter if your TV doesn't support dolby vision but mine does should i choose player led DV as hdr10 422 12 bit, player led DV as hdr10 444 12 bit, player led DV as DV LL 422 12 bit or display led DV as DV Std RGB & 8 bits tunel? Since my TV is a true dolby vision capable my guess is i should go with display led DV as DV Std RGB & 8 bits tunel? Am i right? I just want to make sure im setting this up properly thanks

This would be different than standard HDR 10 fallback . I thought I had read this but not sure if I dreamed it up

I have an Ugoos AM6B+, running coreelec avdvplus R9. I was getting good performance out of the Arctic Zephyr Reloaded CPM skin + Composite + PMS on my NAS. I have moved to Arctic Fuse 3 with PKC (direct paths, direct play) to move the UI to a more typical streaming app UI. I got the skin from the jurialmunkey repo (and had to do a lot of fighting with the dependencies to get it installed and working properly).

However I believe this skin does not provide the extended PPI that I would see in the Arctic Zephyr Reloaded (CPM) + Composite approach.

Is there a current option for getting this extended info display into the player on the new skin? I looked around and didn't see a specific version of Arctic Fuse 3 for CPM.

Sup everyone, what would be best for my AM6B+ and bravia 8 II some people say that the p3i T3 is more optimized for S922X-J and that the Avdvplus build are better for S905X4! I just installed the Avdvplus R9 ( didn't really had time to play with it and go tru all the features yet ) should i switch to P3i T3? What are the main difference between those 2 builds thanks

I am looking for a device with budget around ~$100-120. I have a soundbar that supports DTS:X and Atmos TrueHD, so I would like to have the those in the box. My LG TV supports DV but I am not sure if the FEL depends on the TV or the box, would be nice to have it (not sure how good is FEL though). And I am going to watch mostly the BluRay rips on Kodi.
PS: I had bought Fire stick max 4k gen2 but it keeps crashing Kodi app.

i have advplus, and arctic fuse 3 and i use o button for player info and dont see it. this is on PM4K tho . anyway for it to show the enhancment layer with PM4K?

Hi everyone, i just bought a bravia 8 II and a ugoos am6b+ ive just installed the avdvplus R9 build with the estuary R9 skin i was wondering can i use jamal repo skins with the avdvplus R9 or will i lose anything like the OSD? Or is there any other modded skin for the avdvplus R9 or im stuck with the estuary for this build? Thanks alot

Or should I just go for it? I do have a small sound delay in R7 that I had to accommodate for, but beyond that it's solid.

I was previously using Android with CPM A14. I recently upgraded to Android 14 with AVDVPlus R9, and the experience has been really good so far.

At first, it needed some tweaking. I had to adjust a few settings in advancedsettings.xml and also fine-tune some CoreELEC settings. But once everything was set properly, the experience became amazing.

The biggest improvement for me is that I’m no longer seeing black screens when fast-forwarding or skipping during playback. Dolby Vision also feels brighter and cleaner compared to before.

I tested Wanted 2008 on Dolby Vision Blu-ray, and the picture quality, brightness, sound, and overall video detail looked really impressive. I’m also enjoying Dolby Vision FEL Profile 7.6 movies now, and playback feels buttery smooth with no lag or audio delay, even with 70–90 Mbps bitrate files.

The only downside I noticed is the temperature. With AVDVPlus R9, my box is reaching around 160°F after continuous watching, while CPM A14 usually stayed around 140°F max for me and also one or two times UI freeze like full blue one.

Overall, it has been a very good experience after tuning the settings. I’m really enjoying Dolby Vision FEL playback on this setup.

When I reboot my am6b+ the wifi fails to connect and I have to manually go and connect to wifi each time after the reboot.

Is there something I can do to get the wifi to automatically connect successfully after a reboot?

Hope someone can help me with some questions I have with my setup 😉

I have the following equipment:

• Samsung 85" Neo QLED 4K QN90D TV
• Samsung HW-Q90D soundbar
• am6b+ with PM4K installed using wifi

My goal with the am6b+ is to play remuxes with Dolby Vision FEL7 (and HDR10+) content on my Samsung TV as the TV does not natively support DV.

So when I am in the Settings/System/CoreELEC screen and it shows all the Dolby Vision settings which options should I enable/configure for DV with a Samsung TV? This is the section I am referring to:

What does the red cross mean next to "VS10 & VP" mean? Should this also be a green tick?

Currently I have reset all the Dolby Vision settings back to the default as I wasn't sure if what I had changed was correct or not.

Does anyone else use the am6b+ with a Samsung TV? If you do would you mind sharing what you configured in the Dolby Vision settings please?

I know I need to use player led but just not sure of the specifics I should be setting.

Question: What should I see on the Samsung TVs source info when playing DV content from the ugoos? Will it always only say HDR? I assume HDR10+ will never show?
