Wood auto-gatherer

Wood auto-gatherer

Ive seen a few people post their wood farm so thought Id throw mine out there, I made it modular so if more came with updates you can just add another block to the line.

The straight line allows the rare armour drops to go into the collection at the end. The right side timber get picked up by the claw and goes into a table saw and back out onto the mainline belt. It also uses one motor sitting between the cranes to power all the drills etc. You'd able to be extended out as long as you want for more wood, cause who doesnt love wood!!

Let me know what you think, it was my first bit of automation :)

Looking for people to join a new Core Keeper world

Looking for players for a fresh, slower-paced Hard Mode world (PC / NA) (18+)

Hey everyone,

I am looking to find a few people to play through a brand-new Core Keeper world with. The dedicated server is already up and running 24/7, so you can jump in and play whenever you like.

I want to take a slower-paced approach to this playthrough. The goal is to focus heavily on thoroughly exploring the map, tracking down rare gear, finding unique items, and discovering hidden locations rather than rushing through the bosses.

For building, we can work together on a massive, stable main base, but you are also completely free to branch off, build your own separate bases, and do your own thing if you prefer.

Here are the details:

* **Characters:** Brand-new characters only.

* **World Settings:** All settings are default, but the difficulty is set to Hard.

* **Platform & Region:** Playing on PC in North America.

* **Mods:** The world itself is unmodded. If you prefer to use client-side mods, that is perfectly fine.

If you are interested in a thorough, challenge-oriented playthrough with a stable home base and the freedom to play your own way, please leave a comment below or send me a DM with your Discord username.

How many Lava sub-biomes in Desert of Beginnings?

I am DESPERATELY trying to find the last card for the Oracle Card set and that being the 'Endurance' card found from charred crates in Lava sub-biomes. I feel like I have searched all over and I am still having no luck (I know it is 0.4% drop so... pretty rare).

Is there a set number of lava areas in the Desert of Beginnings biome? And do the crates re-spawn at all?

I will keep searching.. but just wanted to get some hope!!!!

Chaos world setting

Does anyone know if high or low chaos worlds have a positive or negative impact on sub-biiomes?

I recently made a high chaos world but noticed a distinct lack of prairie sub biome. I tried another low chaos world and while I haven’t explored much yet I still haven’t come across any cows or goats.

For that matter can things like increasing tunnel or cavern frequency also impact interesting sub biomes? I don’t like how dark and how much digging I did in my first playthrough but I also did find a lot of prairie spots in that first playthrough.

What are these ruins and how do I get into them?

https://preview.redd.it/krw695kq1sjh1.jpg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=958b8767810337fd4af03ffefb8606e2a85a5be2

I've come across a few ruins like this with the yellow pillar thing in the middle which seemingly makes the whole ruins immune to damage. I honestly can't figure out what I'm supposed to do, and I also can't figure out what the heck these things are called to Google it. I initially thought the puzzle had something to do with the tracks, but the game won't let me place a cart on them. The only other thing I really see is that there's two little squares which light up yellow if I get close to them at each corner of the central thing.

Mid game questions

I've just gotten to collecting a reasonable (>20 <100) amount of scarlet. My base is at the core and I have long conveyor belts bringing the ore back home, is it worth staying put or should I move base elsewhere? It would be a drag but I could do it. It's a lengthy trip by rail even from the furthest out warp point.

I understand I could destroy the one I found at a science lab and move it to Azeos or the desert, but if I was going to move base, the lab would be my next spot.

Is there a good way to control local mobs, they keep destroying my long rail and conveyor belt infrastructure and my ore doesn't get delivered to base. I've tried a moat or a wall in some places but I am spending a bunch of time still having to find and fix issues. Any suggestions?

I can now make boats and I have started creating more water ways around but is this wise? Are boats worth it? Or is it for later?

I have a farm with a couple of animals, fed by mushrooms is there any point really?

Going to start a hardcore world, any tips?

So ive beaten the game twice. Once a couple years ago and just recently. But I want to try hardcore now.

Im thinking a ranged physical build with minions, high armor equipment, absolutely no melee (seems inferior even in a regular world, let alone hardcore). Planning on farming a lot like my other playthroughs and having good food and healing potions on me. I plan to take it slow, build walls where necessary and am not going to try to push early into new biomes when I stumble upon them.

Anyone got any tips? Particularly survivable builds? Ideas on things to do early? Any tough lessons learned from experienced hardcore players?

I imagine a lot of deaths are just the random moments when you're in a new biome early and the power curve jumps before you can get some of the new resources in it. Or turning a corner in the sea into one of those crab things and it shoots bubbles point blank and you can't run cause you're slowed on slime.

Random trash mobs worry me more than bosses. Easy to get overgeared before a boss, but harder to get overgeared heading into the next biome if you're not farming bosses for specific items (which doesn't sound like a smart idea in hardcore).

Loot Progression Question.

I’m completely new to the game, and I’ve been loving it. I'm currently on Ra-Akar. My question is: does the game have loot progression similar to Terraria? In Terraria, after beating a boss, you usually upgrade your weapons and armor. Is the progression similar here? I'm currently playing as a mage since it looked the most interesting, does the game have some sort of wiki progression like Terraria ?
