Staying on the lower east side of Corfu (Moraitikia) area and need to go to northwest side where it seems most of the boat rentals and beach clubs are. Is it better to rent our own car and drive ourselves there and back? Or should we hire hire someone to drive us, do they have taxis that will do that? Are the roads difficult to drive? Thank you! We are a family with a 3 year old daughter and we went on many trips to different islands in Greece with hotels before we became parents.
Now we want to try something new and stay 3-4 weeks in a rented flat or house in corfu to get a nice experience.
We just want to have a really chill and laid back holiday, doing small trips, walking around, getting grocery’s and eat here and there at a small restaurant.
Of course visit some beaches too.
My favorite island so far was corfu, so we’re looking to stay there next year around may / June.
What would you recommend in which area we will have the best experience? Corfu city looks nice but could be already too much going on, we would also like smaller towns but there has to be options to get Grocery’s, bakery, restaurants too. Also a plus if we maybe don’t need a rented car and get by walking or taking the bus. A doctor or hospital would be nice too, just in case something serious happens with our daughter.
We love the look of beautiful small towns in Greece.
What towns or areas would you recommend?
Edit: if you have recommendations which areas are very beautiful to visit or for small hikes or must seen / done with a kid I would appreciate that too!
