Stickers or Paint?

I’m going to cosplay as this character from the anime Demon slayer soon. I’ve already figured out how to paint my face white, I’m just trying to figure out how to do the red circles she has on her face. I found these face sticker that are specifically made for the character, but I’m wondering if they’ll stay? Is it worth it to get these, or will it be better to just paint them? Will the stickers stay for a whole convention?

Am I being a sore loser

hallo! im 15 and been cosplaying since I was about 11 and ever since then I have been completely hand making my own cosplays. I completely get sewing and all the parts of cosplay are skills that get learned over time, however I feel like my skills are good enough to win a tiny local event. i have not once won a competition for cosplay for anything. I patterned and crafted this all completely myself and everything was lined with thought and care. the competition needed atleast 80% handmade to enter and I got a bit upset at the end when a furry who had made just made a head and admitted to me that their parents made the rest for them (It also wasn’t a complete fursuit) I went home and got really upset because it feels like my work hasn’t been appreciated ever by outside sources. Anyways! Any tips on how to improve my cosplay or how to make loosing suck any less is much appreciated:)

Cosplaying Marvel Black Cat as a Gymbro

Hi, today I had the idea that it would be really interesting to wear a feminine Black Cat cosplay as a man at a convention. The problem, however, is that I love training for strength and building muscle. How can I conceal my muscles or use them to my advantage? Do you have any tricks and tips for looking as feminine as possible in order to create an impressive cosplay/crossplay?

Looking to find the cheapest way to cosplay Big Boss or Venom Snake

Ideally I wanna be Venom Snake with the sneaking suit, but I could live with a normal BB cosplay in Olive drab due to budgetary restraints.

I've already got the beard and long hair I can pull back, if I did mgs3 BB I'd have to get my hair cut into a mullet so I'd prefer Venom Snake. Mainly looking for links for cheap outfits that fit the bill and cost effective ways to fake the shrapnel in his head plus the scars.

Holiday themed cosplay outside of the holiday?

I could be overthinking this a bit so I’m curious about other people’s perspectives — would you wear a themed cosplay for a holiday outside of said holiday?

I’m going to a con next weekend and have nothing new and no time nor energy to make something entirely new I think. So I was thinking of bringing my Cupid (Valentine’s themed) rengoku as its anime and he’s fun to wear. I’m overthinking the process a bit as it’s august and it’s possible ppl not only won’t understand it, but will be like “why is this dude dressed as an angel rengoku?” Should I do it anyway? It’s honestly a fun cosplay either way. I only wore it once for Katsucon last year and I no longer go, so I don’t want it to go to waste, but I also considered wearing it for magfest since it’s close enough!

My social anxiety and insecurity get in the way of me cosplaying

I've always thought cosplay looks so fun and I love the creativity of it. All the work that goes into making something that looks amazing. Anyway, I really want to cosplay Jinx from Arcane, except I've got this severe social anxiety, and I'm SUPER modest about the clothing I wear. I have autism and sensory issues that stop me from wearing makeup. I wouldn't know where to start. I just feel like their are so many things stopping me even though I would love to cosplay. I don't go all out on halloween costumes (most of the time I don't even dress up) because I'm embarrassed that if I put so much effort into a costume people will be like, "Huh? who are you?" or, something judgy. Even more so since I'm such an introverted person and I don't like showing off my body. There are no cons to go to right now so this doesn't matter, but I guess but it just bugs me. I feel so envious of talented people who can look so spectacular and confidant in their cosplay.

Best cosplay sites?

I’m trying to get an mmpr red ranger bodysuit. I already have the gloves, boots and helmet but the last one I ordered from chaorenbuy ended up turning pink for some reason. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good affordable suits

(Photos above are from my last costume)

Looking for a sheer/skin-tone bodysuit for cosplay

Hi! I’m looking for something pretty specific and I’m not sure what it would be called.

I’m doing a cosplay with a cropped top that exposes the stomach/waist area, but I don’t really want my actual skin completely exposed. I’m looking for a sheer or semi-sheer skin-colored bodysuit/base layer that would still give the illusion of bare skin.

Ideally I want something that starts around the chest/bust and goes down, without sleeves. I’d also love if it had a little bit of compression/shapewear to snatch my waist and smooth everything out, but nothing super heavy or obviously shapewear-looking.

For color reference, my skin is around light to light-medium with a neutral/warm undertone — roughly in the warm/light beige or warm ivory foundation range. So I’m hoping to find a nude mesh that won’t look noticeably pink, orange, or too tan on me.

Basically: skin-like + sheer + a little snatched lol. I want the exposed stomach in the cosplay to still look like my skin in photos, just with some coverage and smoothing underneath.

Does anyone know what I should be searching for, or have any recommendations? Dancewear, figure skating, shapewear, cosplay stuff, etc. are all welcome!

ACTUAL plus size cosplay???

Hello :)
Im a new cosplayer and i feel like I’ve been searching everywhere on the Internet but there doesn’t seem to be any site that offers plus sized cosplays. Im an European XL and all the plus size cosplays on dokidoki, uwuwo, micocostumes, aliexpress is all too tight. Im also 6’0 tall as a woman and im an asian 4-5XL but sadly all stores do is 2-3XL. Im so desperate :( I hate feeling unfeminine and like my body is too out of the ordinary that clothes don’t even exist for my body, when im only 7 kg overweight. I kinda feel like some ugly monster because if that and that makes my fear or trying cosplaying as a hobby even harder. Like i would understand if i was literally obese, which im not. My measurements are 115,95,115. Ive rarely had trouble finding regular size clothes in Europe (besides some stores) but i feel like there are no cosplay brands with western sizing.
Any recommendations?

Wanted to Cosplay a female character (as a boy)

I’ve been thinking about wanting to cosplay as a girl character, and honestly it feels kind of weird to admit. I’m a guy, and part of me wonders if this means something deeper about me, or if I’m overthinking it. It’s not really about “wanting to be a girl” in a dramatic sense, but more like I’m drawn to the look, the vibe, and the softness of female characters. There’s something appealing about stepping into that kind of role, even just for cosplay.

At the same time, I keep asking myself whether this is wrong, or if it says something about my hormones, identity, or just my comfort level. Maybe it’s not that serious at all. Maybe I just like the style, the expression, or the chance to experience something different for a while. I guess I’m trying to figure out if this is normal and harmless, or if it means I should be questioning myself more seriously.

Has anyone else felt this way?

Advice on shining sword

Hi all,

I'm planning to cosplay Higuruma from jjk for this winter, and it would be amazing to recreate the executioner sword (pic related).

I'm stuck at this moment bc I cannot find the best option for a shining sword. So far I thought on using a led strip, and either 3d-print it with some translucent filament or cast it on resin. I never used resin before but I think the results could be much better than the printing, bc the translucent will take away quite a lot of the bright.

Am I missing any other option? any comment is welcome
