These were in a box of crayons in the arts and craft room, I’m genuinely curious as to why the colors and names are wrong

I had no idea Crayola made oil pastels. I picked these up at Goodwill today..

I already made a post about 90s special effect crayons two weeks ago, so here’s another group of 90s specialty crayons from Crayola!

These are mostly jumbo crayons with special effects and standard crayons but with a theme!

In photos 3 and 4, I used a black light flashlight for these Glow in the Dark crayons to glow! On photo 5, those same crayons glow without the black light!

I tried to line up those crayons as neat as possible and even put the crayons back in the box in proper order! (Alphabetical or in rainbow order)

I just found this crayon in my collection and wanted to find out what color it is. I'm asking because the wrapper doesn't have the color name on it. Can yall help out?

To celebrate the upcoming limited edition USA 250th anniversary 64 box, I would like to go back to 2004 when Crayola had a color contest about the 50 U.S. States and 14 more crayon names relating to country nicknames!

People had to choose a crayon color and submit a name relating to each of the 50 states to the Crayola website. Crayola picked the nicknames for the 50 crayon states, the other 14 crayons are named by Crayola including Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico!

I took photos of the State Your Color assortment lineup with all 64 crayons shown in one photo! (I organized them by statehood order!) Do you have any favorites?

You all should be getting more attention from Crayola soon.

Crayola is hoping to double their business in the area, so you should be seeing more marketing and events in the next several years, as well as wider availability.

They've recently been doing various pop-ups, so keep an eye on their social media (@crayola_uk) so you know when the next one.

Earlier this month, there was a Crayola World of Creativity pop-up at OXO Gallery in London.

The makeup brand Clinique is collaborating with Crayola in a "four-month experiential campaign" with pop-up experiences in various locations, as well as additional in-store marketing.

From the unboxing videos (another), it seems to be only an advertising campaign at this point. Unlike the 2017 collaboration (another) (another) (another), the products aren't Crayola-branded, just the marketing materials.

On their new 250th anniversary 64 box, they are reintroducing Yankee Doodle Dandelion but actually Dandelion instead of Banana Mania.

Honestly, I really like it. Even if the pages don't tear, since I can just cut them myself.

These are pairs of same named colors out of a 64 crayon box and from an inspiration art case. In some cases you would not say they are the same color even if they are called the same. Have you seen this before? I guess picking fantasy names allows a certain degree of freedom but it means you need to keep your color swatches right in the box to not confuse them.
