This is a first…

This is a first for me… the nozzle tip broke off and also engraved the plate. I installed a new hot end.

Calling all Creality K2 Plus owners – I need your help!

Hi everyone,

here is my collection for normal K2 :

https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-folder/5221417142?id=6a2291b5ebdbcb5710291d00&type=1

I'm looking for a few Creality K2 Plus owners who would be interested in helping me adapt my existing K2 accessories to the larger printer.

One of my main goals is to bring my Modular Glass Riser to the K2 Plus, but I'd also like to adapt many of my other designs and eventually build a complete K2 Plus collection.

The challenge is simple: I don't own a K2 Plus, so I need people who can print prototypes, test the fit, share feedback, and send photos. In return, you'll get early access to the designs and help shape the final versions before they're released.

I'm thinking about creating a Messenger group so communication is easy, feedback is centralized, and everyone can follow the project's progress together.

If you own a K2 Plus and enjoy testing new designs, leave a comment or send me a DM. I'd love to build the best possible collection for the community with your help!

Update : Here is the FB group for those want to help me on k2 plus and pro : https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1Yhji6UbTw/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Thanks! 🚀

K2 Plus w/CFS Feed/Extraction Errors? Check your ironing settings!

MY SETUP:

-K2 Plus

-CFS x2

-Stock Textured PEI plates

-Stock PTFE tubing

-Creality CFS Stand (returning, it sucks)

-Creality RFID High Speed PLA

-Creality CR-PETG

-Sunlu Basic PLA

-Sunlu High Speed PLA

-3.5in Floppy Disk Swatch STLs

-3.5in Floppy Disk Printer Labels

-Swatch Label Generator

ERRORS:

-FO0528:Printer seems to be printing without extruding.

-FR2849:Retract issue, filament cannot be returned to CFS hub.

-FR2865: Feed issue, filament failed to exit extruder.

BACKSTORY:

I've been printing non-stop on my K2 Plus w/CFS the past month since I bought it. I had a couple user errors, but nothing else this whole time.

Bought and I stalled a 2nd CFS and it was printing just fine.

Bought the Creality CFS stand and moved the CFS machines onto it. Printed fine for a few days.

THE PROBLEM:

For the past 3 days it's been failure to feed or retract. Every. Single. Print.

I spent the better part of yesterday taking the CFS and extruder apart repeatedly. Swapped the nozzle, replaced and shortened all of the PTFE tubing, clipped the CFS springs, cleaned all gears, moved the buffer box. Everything YouTube and Google was telling me would fix the problem.

Nothing was helping and I was looking up the Creality customer service email to reach out to them when I realized something (so obvious now); every single print failed during the ironing stage at some point, which is weird because I did ironing tests when I first got the printer. I had put in the best settings to use in the slicer, but I only started using the ironing feature around the time the failures started.

I opened up Creality Print to double check the settings and lo and behold, the ironing settings were reset back to default for some reason (30mm/10%). I'm guessing when I had to reboot my computer for an update at some point, I didn't notice that I never saved the updated ironing settings. Naturally, Creality Print opened with the last saved profile which included the stock ironing settings.

SOLUTION:

I changed to the correct settings (30mm/25%), SAVED, and hit print; 3 prints in and no errors!

CONCLUSION:

I believe the stock low speed/flow setting caused back pressure in the nozzle which lead to deforming the filament above the cutter, thus not allowing the filament to retract into the PTFE property and then getting jammed.

K2 Plus Belt Fraying at X Axis

Alright here's a new issue im having. I noticed my print slipped to the side while I was printing even though it stayed stuck to the bed. I recently tightened the belt do to a code which seemed to solve the code, but after it slipped, i looked at the belts and on the x axis I say fraying. I looked at the back pulley with the motor and saw it was riding on the upper shoulder of the pulley. I cant tell if its a pulley issue, or what is going on. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

ASSIGN FILAMENT FROM 2ND CFS.

How do I assign filament from 2nd CFS? The first CFS I use for PETG and 2nd for PLA. I want to prototye a print in PLA and it appears as slot 2A in Creality Print. But I can't assign any spool from the 2nd CFS, it just shows 1-4 (A-D on CFS 1).

K2 Plus Combo - Latest update bricked my CFS

So I installed the latest update (1.1.6.1) and now my CFS stopped working. I get "System Error, restarting" and all of the CFS lights are blinking red while it doesn't show up on the version check option on the printer's screen.

I can't even downgrade to 1.1.4.11. I tried formatting the USB in both exFAT and FAT32, tried inserting the usb while the machine is on and off, and nothing, I don't get the update pop-up at all...

So now I have a bricked hunk of metal...

Anyone know what I can do in this case?

CREALITY K2

K2 Companion is now live on Google Play! Thank you to everyone who beta tested

A few weeks ago I posted here looking for testers for my K2 companion app. Today, thanks to you, it's officially live on Google Play as a full public release.

Huge thank you to everyone who joined the beta. Your feedback directly shaped the app: overnight notification misses on Samsung got fixed, the remote camera was reworked for much lower latency, and CFS filament mapping and multi-printer support both exist because testers asked for them. This community genuinely built half the feature list.

What it does:

  • Live dashboard with print progress, temperatures, chamber light toggle and camera
  • Full remote monitoring and control from anywhere, no port forwarding or VPN needed
  • Live camera feed both on your home network and remotely
  • CFS multi-colour filament mapping: pick which loaded slot prints each colour when printing from the printer, no re-slicing
  • Edit CFS spool colours and materials from your phone
  • Control of the K2's built-in AI failure detection, with sensitivity tuning the stock app doesn't expose
  • Reliable print-complete and failure notifications with a camera snapshot attached
  • Cancel individual objects mid-print while the rest of the plate keeps going
  • Live tuning: pressure advance, velocity limits, PID calibration
  • Klipper config editor with automatic backups, plus full config backup/restore to your phone
  • G-code / Klipper console
  • Bed mesh viewer
  • File browser with print start and filament mapping
  • Auto-discovery of your K2 on the network, and automatic switching between local and remote mode
  • In-app SSH terminal for the tinkerers
  • Multi-printer support for K2 fleets

Works with the K2 and K2 Plus, both confirmed on real printers by beta testers. The K2 Pro runs the same firmware family so it should work too, and I'd love a Pro owner to confirm.

It's a small one-time purchase, no subscription, no ads, no account required. Remote access for your first printer is included; there's an optional one-time unlock for remote access on a whole fleet.

Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.harktech.k2_companion

I'm a one-man repair workshop in the UK and this app is a big part of keeping the lights on, so every download genuinely matters. If you use it and like it, a Play Store review helps more than you'd think.

Happy to answer any questions, and I'm still taking feature requests. The beta group stays open if anyone wants early access to future updates.

New to Multi Filament Halp Please

Second Attempt at multi color with CFS on a Creality K2 Pro Combo:
It's only a 2 hour print and its been going for two hours and its still only on layer 100 of 449. Unfortunately I can't physically inspect the printer myself since it's at my moms house I just monitor it for her while it finishes a long print since I'm up all night. But the annoying part is its the second time this has happened. For all i know a filament snapped or had a tangle but I also just want to know how to avoid this. Perhaps I just made bad slicer decisions.

I am very new to multi color prints with an auto changing filament system. I have only ever had an Ender 3 v2 pro, and now I have a Ender 3 v3 plus. My mom wanted to get into it so she got an even better printer than me and as all things do especially with 3D printing there is a learning curve.

They have no business looking different

I bought a filament detector because its a canon event it breaks. No big deal. From aliexpress. I see they look different (left new, right old) for example the new one has like 4 pins (and lacks a **capacitor???**). Just wanted to ask, what shenanigans creality us up to again.

Feed issue of late with CFS

Anyone else having a feed issue of late with CFS? It started after I printed PETG-CF for the first time, now the CFS only rolls a bit and then says "feed issue between CFS and extruder". Nothing is stuck anywhere, not in the CFS, tubes, buffer or the extruder itself.I can't seem to clear the issue either, what "helped" was for me to push the filament through the CFS beyond the CFS sensor and feeder at the back but it only works with more rigid filaments.

It gives this error in all of the bays.

Need help with error code FR2836

I keep getting this code. I have a k2 plus with 2 CFS hubs.
I have factory reset the printer, taken apart the hubs, swapped which hub the filament comes from, disconnected the filament detector on the back from power, used canned air in the tubes and it still gives me the error. Before I buy a new filament detector and replace yet another part on this printer, does anyone know how to fix it?

K2 plus refurbished- not starting out well.

I got my new to me printer today. I wasn't convinced I should buy a refurbished machine, but went ahead with it.

So far it makes a really loud noise when going over the wiper and poop door. I'll get some video, but my phone is about dead.

It also concerns me that there is a scratch about an inch long on the build plate where it looks like the nozzle scratched it during the prime line. This makes me curious to something I can't find an answer to. How long should the prime line be? This is only laying down like an inch? I'm used to seeing a much longer prime pattern with every other printer I've used.

My first print is with a brand new roll of filament of some generic brand. This is at the .12 layer height. It looks like wet filament to me, but expected much better from a brand new spool.

Could this be just wet filament, or ruined nozzle due to crashing into the bed or crashing into something when it wipes?

I started it running a calibration and will see if anything changes.

Temp Tower Seems The Same

Which temperature is supposed to be best here? Is this just magic filament and it all looks pretty decent? And yes I did confirm that the temperature was actually changing. Edit: Fillament is PLA

N vs V?

I'm thinking of getting a K-series printer, but am confused by the difference between "K2 SE Version V" and "Version N". Google doesn't really turn anything up, and when someone asked under the ali listing, another buyer responded with "likely a firmware difference; one version supports the CFS out of the box while the other doesn't", but I can't see how this could be the case, considering the price difference between them - N is a few dollars more expensive.

So, what gives? What is "Version N" and "Version V"?

Arkfly Conweb Sucks!

This plate is really shitty. PLA lifts from the plate constantly. I shouldn't have to use adhesive with this 🤦🏼‍♂️

Can anyone explain why the K2 Base cannot use Adaptive Bed Mesh?

I’m seriously confused as to why this was locked out. I can’t understand why such a big QOL feature that is native to Klipper is unavailable on the K2.

What is gained by disabling Adaptive Mesh?

Anyone know specifically why?
