Need advice. I currently have the bpi blue cc, I’ve been wanting their visa signature due to its perks. My colleague has one and he mentioned that he had no million peso account with them and got one as a promo with NAFFL

Since i cannot apply coz Im already carded with them, can i cancel this card, wait for their promo and apply? I believe this will fall under the criteria for new to bank application if ever i cancelled my card? Is this the right presumption? Or i need to wait for x months? Yes i do have a savings account with them with less than a million.

hi meron lang po akong itatanong, tungkol sa atome. college student po kasi ako and kami ng jowa ko po ang gumagamit ng card na yun (hope you wont judge us po) from the pass few months and then ngayon lang talaga kami nahirapan ng sobra kasi nag kapatong patong na po meron kaming 6months to pay na 2 and then 3 months to pay na 2 so ngayon ang total namin is 65k na hindi po namin inaasahan na ganun. so we want to talk to someone po sana from the atome na kung pede babayaran namin siya within 9months pero hindi na magkakaron ng interest and penalties, is that possible po kaya? kasi we are willing to pay naman pero hindi namin alam pano po makakausap ang agent sa atome regarding sa payment terms po sana na naiisip ko. dahil sinira ko na din po yung card dahil desidido na po kami to stop using, and now po is hahanap po sana kami ng way pano po mabayaran siya na without interest and penalties na po. ayoko po kasi na tumawag po sila sa mga contacts namin para lang singilin din po sila sa problema namin kaya kahit sa 14 pa po ang due gusto ko po sana makausap yung agent nila, tried emailing them pero parang automated po ang sagot. also we can’t pay the 65k po kasi in straight this month ayaw na din po namin imonthly, kaya please if you know po what I can do please help!!!! #atomecreditcard

I’m a fresh graduate, and I don’t plan on getting a job. My long-term arrangement with my partner is that he’ll be the primary provider while I manage things at home.

Because of that, I won’t have employment income or a salary. However, we plan to keep a six-digit amount (possibly even higher over time) in my BPI savings account and leave it there long-term.

I’m curious how BPI looks at situations like this.
Would having a consistently high balance improve my chances of getting approved for a regular credit card?

Or would being unemployed automatically make me ineligible, regardless of how much money is in the account?

Has anyone here been approved despite not having traditional employment or a regular salary?
I’m asking about an unsecured BPI credit card, not a secured one.

I’d appreciate hearing your experiences or insights. Thanks!

Pinahiram ako ng friend ko ng 30k noong nagipit ako sa hospital gamit ang bpi credit card nya. Sabi nya magbayad na lang daw ako ng 4k per month, sa loob ng 12 months. Kaya lang nagkaroon ng problema noong nawalan ako ng trabaho at ipinaliwanag ko naman sa kanya. 3 months din akong hindi nakapaghulog at ngayon lang ako ulit nagkatrabaho. Sa tatlong buwan na iyon, sya muna ang nag abono ng dapat ay hulog ko. Basically, 48k ang kailangan kong mafulfill within 12 months according to her. Bago ako mahinto sa paghuhulog ko, nakapagbayad po muna ako ng 24k.

Gusto ko lang malaman magkano ba yung usual na interest ng bpi cash loans, or credit to cash or kung anuman po yung tawag don. Wala lang talaga akong idea, sinubukan ko kasing itanong yung original na interest na wala pang patong nya, pero ang sinabi nya is 5% daw talaga. Nagtry akong magsearch online and also gumamit ng AI at wala daw ganoong offer sa bpi na 5% yung interest. Please, help me po. I really want to know dahil gusto ko pong makapagsettle na sa kanya at makipagnegotiate dahil di ko na po kaya ang 4k a month. Hindi din nya sinasabi directly magkano ba talaga yung original na interest.

I was charge with annual fee and it’s posted but no SOA yet. Can I still cancel my card?? I don’t think I can pay them with their conditions which is very unreasonable like spend 70k in 60 days? The fuck!!!

Hi. Unfortunately nag OD na ako sa eastwest card and loan ko. Can anyone share their experiences with eastwest kapag nag OD? May harassment ba? Hindi ko raw pwede irestructure, and mabilis daw mapunta sa collections. Sisingilin ba yung buong amount kung ganun? Eh wala na ngang pambayad sa monthly, yung buong amount pa kaya?

I’m planning to open a savings account and gradually build up my funds, with the hope of eventually getting a pre-approved credit card.

The plan is to deposit the amount that I would eventually use for an SCC anyway. If I get offered a regular CC before I reach my target amount, great. If not, I’ll just go the SCC route once I hit that number.

Given that setup, would you recommend BDO or BPI?

I’ve read a lot of posts saying BDO is pretty generous (and quick!) when it comes to offering cards to existing depositors, but BPI also seems attractive because of the overall banking experience and the recent permanent free InstaPay/PESONet transfers.

Do you think the free transfers make BPI the better choice now, or if ang goal ko talaga is to maximize my chances of getting a pre-approved card, mas okay pa rin si BDO?

Another thing I’m considering is which bank’s card would be a better reference card down the line when applying for other credit cards. If I eventually get a BDO/BPI card (whether pre-approved or via SCC), which one would put me in a better position for future applications with other banks?

So I guess my considerations are:

• Higher chance of getting a pre-approved CC as a depositor
• If that doesn’t happen, which bank has the better SCC option
• The recent free transfers policy of BPI
• Which card would serve as a stronger reference card for future CC applications

Would love to hear your experiences, especially from those who got their first CC through their savings relationship with either bank, those who started with either BDO or BPI and later expanded to other banks, or those who ended up converting to an SCC after waiting it out.

Hati pa rin ‘yung mga nababasa ko— some say it does affect your credit score, some says no. I’m not applying for cc in the near future ( siguro 3-5 years pa from now if ever) and not actively planning on applying, but curious lang ako if it’s going to be a problem jic. I usually use my spaylater for appliances needed sa business ng family ko since shopee is always relatively cheaper compared to physical shops. E 0% interest rate and minsan may extra voucher pa if u specifically use spay, so I really used it well kahit may allotted money naman talaga for my purchase😭 Also, mas madali ‘yung refund process compared to when I’m using gcash na sa shopeepay ko napupunta ‘yung refund. Last payment ko na with everything this July, then I’m done with all my instalments na. If ever nakakaaffect talaga siya, I’d probably stop using spay. Also how do I increase my score?

Pwede po bang malaman kung anong recommended na bank na pwede kong apply-an for credit card po?

First time ko po kase maga-apply and balak kong gamitin yung card kapag na-approve to get a new mobile device din hehe kase nagkaroon ng problem yung samsung flip 5 (biglang hindi gumana ang main screen 😢) ko huhu and natatakot po kase akong mag-home credit so naisipan ko na mag-apply na lang muna ng credit card for peace of mind din. Actually, matagal ko na pong balak na mag-apply kaso biglang napaaga yung process dahil sa nangyari haha.

And kung sakali po na ma-approve ako, pwede bang gamitin yung card to get a device worth 40k to 50k+ kaagad? or kailangan ko pa pong i-build muna yung credit score or something? or naka-depende po ba yun sa offers sayo?

I have a 6 months old Metrobank SCC with 25,000 CL. Is it possible to apply to other banks using my SCC as a reference card not having to provide proof of income? Anyone here been in the same situation as me? Thank you!
