Seeking Credit Card Strategy / Mentorship, CIBIL 799, Just 1 ICICI Credit Card, nothing else.

I currently have just 1 credit card ICICI Bank & it offers no reward at all.

I am keen on cashback, discounts & travel.

My last ITR is 12 lakh indian rupees. I am self employed in my own private limited company. Current card limit is 60k but bank is sending sms to increase it to 1.2 lakhs.

I am great in financial management. I actually avoid loans. But now I believe my discipline should be rewarded via credit card rewards.

I am seeking a credit card strategy/mentorship.

Immediate expenses are paying health insurance premiums, buying a new mobile phone. I can do both of these company expenditure. Future will be paying utility bills, business invoices, GST, income tax, travel etc.

I applied to tata neu & some IDFC card last year but they rejected it somehow (I showed employed instead of self employed, that created a problem)

My current CIBIL is 799 (checked just 3 days back)
I have paid off 2-wheeler loan many years back.

No other loans to my name right now.

****Preferred rewards, in their priority order:-

  1. Cashback (unlimited or maximum possible)

  2. Flight / Hotels

  3. Restaurant / Hotel vouchers etc

I am NOT interested in free movies etc

CAN SOMEONE GUIDE ME what should be next card and subsequent cards after that ?

One good thing, or maybe one of the very few good things, about Flipkart 😅

Purchased a phone recently. Paid the minimum required amount via card to trigger the ₹2,000 instant discount, and paid the rest using Flipkart gift cards bought through multiplier offers and instant discounts.

You can basically club both benefits on the same purchase.

Just make sure your gift card balance is lower than the amount you want to pay through gift cards, since Flipkart doesn’t let you choose how much of the gift card balance to use.
