Got a new crested gecko recently. He’s really scared of everythingq

I got a new crested gecko (his name is taco) and he is very afraid of everything. Everytime I open the cage he panics and runs around all crazy, tail wags at me, and opens his mouth defensively. It’s a miracle he hasn’t dropped his tail yet. I’ve had him for about a week and he’s only gotten worse.he won’t eat when I feed him (atleast not in front of me) and he refused some crickets I tried to give him. What should I do? He is in an 18x18x24, is a three year old super Dalmatian male. I have lots of fake and live plants as cover for him, several hides, and two different water dishes. I’m not sure what to do. I’m sure he just needs time but I’m still a little worried.

Tell me I didn't ignore my Sassy Fast being preggo

Please do not think for one second I am not happy and proud to call Sassy fast my baby girl and the best crested gecko ever.

However, I was not well informed and did not think she was a parthenogen. Let alone how rare a single girl lays fertilized eggs is, she definitely has grown a lot, specifically in the stomach and I feel horrible for just realizing it!

And don't worry, I did go ahead and buy an egg fertilize egg holder just in case.

Guys, I was prepared for one sassy fast gecko, one grown crested gecko at that! Please pray for me.

The last picture of her and her carriage was the first week of July. The rest were all taken this morning.

How to move crested gecko that doesn’t want to be handled?

I’m moving to college soon and I want to move my crested gecko to a temporary enclosure when I’m moving and also to finally clear out the paper towel I had gotten her on.

She doesn’t let me handle her yet, we’re making progress but it won’t be done in time before I move out. I was thinking of taking out the clutter the night before and putting her temporary carrier in the enclosure with bugs to entice her inside since she won’t let me carry her to out her in their directly. Would this work?

The classic: Morph?

Hi guys!
I know, I know...
I have my first babies and I need some braincells from others. What do you think about these two little baby? What are their morphs? Both of them are hatched on wendesday, so they are tiny.
From the parents, they can carry lilly and axhantic (dad is a visual axanthic lilly and mother is 66% het axanthic). I can show the parents in the comments if it helps.
My guess is a lilly white baby and a brindle or phantom baby.
(I know they will change A LOT as they mature, I'm just trying to figure out how to recognise the signs of morphs)

New to the gecko community, help

Hello, I have been wanting to get a crested gecko recently but I’ve never had a reptile before so I’m teaching myself from scratch. Any and all recommendation and comments are appreciated. So as far as enclosure, I have been looking on FB marketplace for a starting place and have found this 36x18x24 Waterfall Paludarium / Vivarium project that I want to convert ( I will attach photos/ the description). I know that it is better to start out with a full grown gecko rather than a baby. I know that they balanced diet with power/water mixes and also bugs but idk which powders to go with or what types of crickets. I know they need a humidity spike, so can i spray the enclosure in the mornings and evenings with a spray bottle or whats the most effective method. I also read they do best in room temps so no heat lamp but what sort of lighting do I need? Also the substrate/ dirt Idk where to start. Please help I’m starting from scratch.

What morphs are my baby cresties?

I recently got these guys off of fb, they are nearly two months old and I actually don’t know what morphs they are, I tried googling it but I am new to cresties and I am not confident in my ability to identify the correct morphs, from what I can tell they have very similar patterns just different shades?? the first pic is of Stubby (he’s named that because he has no tail lol) and the second one is of Mari, Mari was a bit more expensive than stubby but I figured it was because Mari still has a tail, (Mari was $60, and Stubby was $40) also yes I’m aware that stubby is a bit on the thinner side in the picture, I just got them and he is still settling into his new enclosure and had refused food for a few days, but he’s eating now and is fatting back up (they are also going through a bit of a growth spurt rn)

Absolute Beginner Crested Gecko Questions

Over the last few months I've been researching crested geckos but a lot of videos don't answer my questions which i agree are very specific but i feel like it could be important. please bare with me as i want to be as good of an owner as possible I'm just a little stupid. i would appreciate any help at all even if you don't answer all of my questions i understand its a lot I'm thankful for any advice.

1- A lot of videos I've watched regarding cleaning have given me mixed responses on how often to deep clean the enclosure and also if spot cleaning is even needed at all and if it is how do i even go about doing that.

2- I know crested geckos can be jumpy but like will they jump out of my hands onto the floor or something and if saw what do i do i assume take them to the vet but if they are built for jumping will that even hurt them?

3- Should i get a male or female as a beginner no one really talks about that?

4- How often should i feed them crickets and do i need to gut load them like you need to for leopard geckos?

5- Is bioactive worth it?

6- Can i hang out with my gecko outside of the enclosure and if so how long can he be out of it

7- What's the best brand of "feeding paste"?

8- What should a good starter budget be

9- After i buy everything how expensive will it be to actually own this little guy

10- Do i turn off the heating bulb when i turn off the light for the night?

11- What's the best way to humidify the tank?

12- And finally is there anything i wouldn't know to ask about that beginners usually mess up?

Again I appreciate any and all help i get i just really wanna make sure my gecko lives a great life and doesn't suffer from my lack of knowledge.

Name suggestions?! Rescued Crested Gecko

This boy was a surrender, and I rescued him yesterday! His name was “Cowboy” and I hate that, so I’m looking for name suggestions! I have a bearded dragon named “Citrine” (after the natural stone) and an Anery boa named “Galena” (after the mineral) so maybe something sticking with that type of name category! I was thinking “Jasper” after Dalmatian jasper, but it’s not sitting right. Let em know what you guys think!! 🤔 Thanks! 😊

How do I get her to recognize food?

Ive had her for a few days and I suspect shes not been eating. Ive never seen her near the dish and the base of her tail is starting to look sunken in. The breeder only fed her crickets so Im gonna buy those for now. However I know that just crickets would be a terrible diet for her. How to I get her to recognize the liquid gecko diet

Is there a seasonal thing happening with cresteys right now?

My location is southeast Asia and we are in the middle of summer where the heat goes up to 35,36°c. I'm working at a reptile shop and these days the crested geckos are acted quite weird. Male, female both will try to eat my finger, run around wildly, and will stare at me with hungry eyes. We feed them once every 2 days so it's not the hunger driving them. Some will think it's normal for geckos to act crazy, but I'm talking about almost all of the adults are acting wild, even the usual tame and gentle, slow ones that never ran, will run up to eat me. Some customers even called us that their geckos are acting so differently and were worried if this was a problem.

Breeding season over here is around winter to spring, so they aren't crazy for matting. And they were fine just least week.🤨
