I'm building a Football Manager-style cricket management game as a solo project.

I've always wanted a proper cricket management game where you're not controlling the players on the field—you control the entire career of a coach.

So I'm building Domestic Eleven, a browser-based cricket management simulator.

The idea is simple: Domestic Eleven ( Alpha Version)

Start as an unemployed coach.

Apply for coaching jobs.

Attend interviews.

Manage domestic teams.

Scout and develop young players.

Deal with the board, media, and fans.

Work your way from Indian domestic cricket to the IPL and eventually become the India Head Coach.

The focus is on realistic management, career progression, and decision-making rather than arcade gameplay.

It's still in active development, and I'm building it solo, so I'd love to hear your ideas.

What is one feature you'd love to see in a cricket management game that no game has done well yet? 🏏

Cricket Legends — draft an all-time XI from 50 years of cricket history and take them through T20s, Tests and a full season. Free, no ads, works on mobile.

https://cricketlegends.app

Solo dev here — I'm a primary school teacher building this in my spare time, third game in a series. Draft mechanic is the core: era chemistry bonuses reward building around a period (90s Aussies, 80s Windies etc). There's a daily timing duel with a world leaderboard, boss battles against legendary XIs, and a full league season mode. All free, no sign-up needed to play. Very happy to get brutal feedback — what's confusing, what's boring, what breaks

Two months ago I asked why cricket never had its Football Manager. I've been building it and here's a real look at the squad management side of Cricket Club Owner.

The feedback on that post was clear: transfers and squad building first, deep stats second, realism over flashy presentation. That's where the last two months went. The video is the squad side as it stands today, real UI with no trailer editing. You're seeing selection with the full stat table, squad shape (first choice, depth, and who you could sell), match analytics, and the dressing room with hierarchy and cliques.

There's a lot the video doesn't show. The transfer market has proper valuations, so a player's actual interest in your club drives the fee, the wages, and whether he walks away. Scouting gives you rating estimates that sharpen the more you watch a player. And every ball of every match is simulated off individual player attributes, not dice rolls.

Structure wise it's four divisions of ten teams, promotion and relegation, cups, and multi season careers. I've also kept out all the stuff I hate in mobile games. No ads, no energy timers, no wait 4 hours or pay. Free to download with a real trial, then one unlock for the full career.

It's iOS first and launching very soon. What would you want on those squad screens that isn't there? I'll answer everything

If you want to follow development, the game's account is u/CricketClubOwner. The teaser trailer is already up there and that's where I'll post dev updates as launch gets closer.

Is there a way to play the game as a pure roster builder?

Playing the 2026 on PC. Brand new to the game and trying my best to learn about Cricket as I go.

Is there a way to play the game as a roster builder rather than needing me to be in control of batting and bowling strategy in game too? I tried to sim past it but the message said that the team would be at a disadvantage without my expertise (lol) which I feel is the opposite of how it actually was.

Currently managing Surrey and binge watching Rob's videos to try and understand the game.

I'm building a cricket simulator game as a solo project. What features would make it addictive?

Hey everyone!

I've recently started building a cricket simulator game. It's just a passion project for now, but I want to make it feel different from the usual cricket games. Instead of focusing on graphics, I want the gameplay and decision-making to be the main attraction.

Right now I'm working on the basic match engine, but I'd love to hear ideas from people who enjoy cricket management/simulator games.

Some things I'm thinking about:

Realistic ball-by-ball simulation.

Batters adapting to bowlers over time.

Pitch conditions changing during the match.

Momentum and pressure affecting player performance.

Simple but meaningful captaincy decisions.

What are some small mechanics that would have a big impact on gameplay?

Also, what do you dislike about existing cricket games that you wish someone would fix?

I'm open to every suggestion, no matter how simple or crazy. Thanks!

It cant just be me that loses a wicket in the last 15 mins of a session nearly every time?

I could have the most set batsmen in and pretty much 9 times out of 10 they will get out in the last few overs of a session.

Ive tried lowering the aggresion to 0 bars as well in rhe last few overs and it doesnt seem to do anything. Its like their programmed to get out near the end of a session.

Ive played the game years and always noticed this but im starting to get fed up with it.

Surely i cant be the only one experiencing this?

Cricket Draft Game - 6orSticks

Recently built a cricket draft game in my spare time. It’s called 6orSticks and the idea is simple: build the greatest XI you can from randomly generated teams and eras, then try to win tournaments with them.

There’s Test Cricket which is a survival mode, 50 over World Cup, T20 World Cup, IPL and a Daily Challenge, with player ratings based on real stats from over 22k matches.

Would genuinely love to know what you think - especially if anything seems broken, unfair or ratings that look questionable... I’m still improving it whenever I get the time.

Oh, and it’s free! 👉 www.6orsticks.com

Cheers! 🏏

Fitness

Anyone know if a player’s fitness impacts their performance or is it more of an injury indicator? Is resting players necessary?

Occurred to me that I’ve played for years and have completely ignored the fitness bar, probably torturing some players without realising.

PowerPlay IPL - The IPL version of my cricket drafting game where you build a squad to win the IPL

Hey everyone!

After the success of the World Cup Draft Game, The Chase, I bring to you the IPL version cricket strategy game called Powerplay IPL, where you get to build your own IPL dynasty.

The idea is simple - you enter an auction, build an **18-man squad from IPL players across seasons**, manage your purse under a salary cap, pick your playing XI based on match conditions, and try to win the tournament.

You can play in different modes, including:

  • All-Time IPL - draft the greatest IPL players ever and play a 10-team tournament
  • Historical Season - replace a team in a random IPL season
  • Classic Draft - player ratings are visible
  • From Memory - ratings are hidden, so you have to rely on your IPL knowledge

Whats matters

  1. Set your batting order - This is YOUR call. The engine respects the exact order you set. No auto-sorting. But the position matters for each player and accordingly gives a boost.
  2. Team Combination - The team combination and matchups matter based on opposition and pitch.

There’s also a purse/difficulty system, toss calls, team naming, and season progression. The match engine is based on ball-by-ball data of 20000 T20 games.

If you enjoy IPL auctions, fantasy cricket, cricket manager games, or just arguing over the best IPL XI of all time, you might enjoy this.

Play here: https://powerplay-ipl.vercel.app/

Whats already there

  • Global Leaderboard
  • Shareable result cards
  • Post-match analysis
  • Career stats tracking

What's next

Still actively building. Would love suggestions from this community. Coming soon wtih these

  • A complete IPL version
  • A Test version
  • T20 World Cup
  • Multiplayer draft mode

Would love to hear feedback, bug reports, balance suggestions, or your best squad builds!

Best way to get into this game

What's the best way to get into this game as a beginner?

I'm a long time sports sim fan and have a ton of experience in the genre. My knowledge of cricket is basic at best, what's the best way for me to get started here? I watched some of Robs YT videos but I don't really know how the season flows and trying to build rosters for 3 formats always seems complicated.

Any tips and advice would be appreciated!
