Batting orders

Have been playing the game since the beta and I’m really enjoying it, as someone who plays a lot of FM (on average around 1,500hrs a year 🫣) this is the perfect cricket equivalent to FM. I have noticed a couple things though;
- occasionally the menus are quite laggy but it’s not very often
- Sometimes the batting orders don’t quite add up, for example just played against Notts in the CC and Hameed was batting at 7 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
- I also signed Nic Maddison on a overseas deal and he just disappeared from my squad

Apart from these things though I’m really enjoying the game, and considering how new it is, it’s in a really good shape, can’t wait to see what’s to come!!

Android News + Sunday South Africa Update!

Hi All!

Today I was hoping to bring release to another platform - Android! However, unfortunately release has had to be delayed for the time being! Game is ready to go, just waiting to hear back from Google. There seems to be a lot of hoops to jump through, as there was with Steam, and rightly so, but this does mean that I have been slowed down by admin slightly!

Will keep you informed regarding this. As soon as I hear back from Google, I will inform you. I apologise massively for this as I was really hoping we could push this through today, but on the other hand, at least we are very close to being able to finally publish!

On a more positive note, another update has gone out recently and its an exciting one!

As requested by a couple of people - South Africa Domestic scene is now fully integrated into Cricket Management 26!

I did not know much about the Domestic scene over there, so really enjoyed learning about the teams, format and history behind it! Control the finances, upgrade the facilities and make every decision matter! Develop the next SA superstar from your domestic academy! Perform well and they will get a call up to the youth national side. Perform well in this and they will be knocking on the door for the full national team!

We're now up to over 20 playable domestic competitions, in 9 different nations, to go alongside our 64 playable international teams!

Disappointed to not have released Android today but we are SO close!! Apologies again for those that expected it today - gutted that we couldn't get it out!

Much more to come this week as we continue to add improvements to Cricket Management 26!

Thanks for the support!

Dev Focus - Staff Market & Job Security

Today we focus on the Staff & Job Markets in Cricket Management 26!

The first screenshot shows the staff within your club currently. Each member of staff no only has a role, but also has a specialism. They also come with an overall rating and potential, just like the players. In addition to this, every coach comes with their own salary and contract. Salary & contract is affected by their overall rating and the job role that they are currently in.

Screenshot 2 shows the Staff Market. Unhappy with your current staff or lack certain skills among them? Get some new faces in! These come with several filters, such as showing 'Free Agents only' which can be selected by checking the box at the top. There is also a drop down that allows you to easily navigate between the role that you are looking to add! Clicking on a staff member will then open up their profile, showing a breakdown of their attributes, so that you can best choose the correct staff member for your team!

Finally, screenshot 3 shows the Job Market element of Cricket Management 26. I felt it was important that there was a realistic Job Security element in the game. Perform well, and you put yourself in the running for a more prestigious job. Perform badly, and you could face the sack! Once a job becomes available, you are able to apply for it. If the club/country thinks you may be a good fit, you will be invited for a job interview, where you will be tasked with answering questions to find out if you are the right person for the job!

To add to the depth, let's say you are with Lancashire in the England domestic league. You are performing well, but want to try out another competition, but also you're quite happy at Lancashire. Firstly, you can apply for a role in let's say the India franchise league and you happen to smash the interview and be successful. As the India Franchise league overlaps slightly with the start of the England domestic season, you cannot be in two places at once! You are able to ask your England domestic team whether they will grant you leave to be able to coach in that competition!

If you don't like the English winter, why not go and get some sun by coaching in Australia! All of this is possible in Cricket Management 26!

Hear about Cricket Management 26 from a player that has played 400+ hours!

https://preview.redd.it/tqsynek2x7th1.png?width=740&format=png&auto=webp&s=cc6c55e10d4ee885b13419d251986543308e904b

Sometimes you get positive reviews, sometimes you get negative reviews - all are massively important!

This one I'd like to share is a very positive one from Michael. Michael has just hit 400 hours of play on Cricket Management 26 - it would be fair to say he knows the game inside out! I never thought anyone would ever get close to playing a game that I have created for this long! Obviously I hoped people would play it, but never expected to be seeing 400+ hours!

Great to see Cricket Management 26 continue to grow and to hear that people are enjoying playing it - truly humbled!

Thanks to those who have played the game and for those who have taken the time to write a positive review - it is all greatly appreciated!
