I came across this Instagram account which is obviously a Sara Tendulkar fan account.
She claims to also be a Shubman fan and a ShubSara shipper. Fair enough. You are entitled to your opinion.
What caught my eye were the stories she has been posting.
Apparently Sara deserves credit for Shubman’s double century now
She commented under some reel saying that because of those “Sara bhabhi” chants, Shubman scored a double century and if that is the case then people should take her name in every match.
A Shubman fan called her out for it and she obviously started defending herself. Suddenly it became a “lighthearted joke”.
Imagine the delusion required to take the Indian captain’s hard work and attach Sara’s name to it as a “joke”.
And then calling genuine Shubman fans PR while she herself is defending Sara and giving importance to those pathetic chants.
The best part was:
“If Shubman has a bad match, people like you will be the first ones to blame Sara. But when he performs well, suddenly only Shubman gets the credit.”
Umm, hello?
What world are you living in where people are apparently blaming Sara for Shubman not performing?
And the audacity to say “only Shubman gets the credit.”
Madam, WTF?
Who else exactly should get the credit for SHUBMAN scoring runs?
Obviously him, his hard work, his family, coaches and people actually involved in his career.
“I respect Shubman a lot” while casually threatening to write against him
Then she posts another story about Shubrats98 saying:
“I am a true fan of Shubman and respect him a lot, which is why I have been quiet until now.”
And then practically in the same breath says:
“Both of us remember Raquel and Noemie very well. I could also write against Shubman on my stories to make my fan page popular.”
Man, the LEVELS of this admin.
Imagine calling yourself a Shubman fan and saying you respect him while also proudly announcing that you could post against him for engagement.
If this is how fans are, honestly let Shubman be without fans.
It is hilarious watching her desperately try to defend herself and Sara while contradicting herself every second sentence.
The hatred towards Shubman and his fans is obvious.
ShubSara shippers are not automatically Shubman fans
Sara fans and ShubSara shippers can never convince me they are genuine Shubman fans when they behave like this.
They use him as a prop for their own delusions and to keep Sara in the limelight.
His achievements somehow become about her.
His matches somehow become about her.
His personal life somehow becomes about her.
And when Shubman fans object, suddenly they are the problem.
I genuinely cannot wait for the day Shubman finds someone for himself who is actually compatible with him, talented in her own right and not interested in feeding this whole circus.
Because the day he chooses someone completely different from the woman these people have been forcing onto him for years, the meltdown is going to be spectacular.
Shubman Gill is not a prop in Sara Tendulkar fanfiction.
If your support for him disappears the moment he stops fitting your ShubSara fantasy, then you were never really his fan.
You were a Sara fan using Shubman to keep the ship alive.
