If I buy a phone online is there a way to activate it without going to the store?

Edit: I'm a existing customer and the store doesn't have the phone I want in stock

Hi all. Broke my phone and my CC has phone insurance. I have heard that Cc insurance doesn't cover prepaid. Wondering if anyone using Cricket has had any experience?
Edit. I have a chase freedom flex. Found in terms that it does not cover if using a "pay as you go" Sucks. For future, anyone have a card that does?
Hello,
Any help is much appreciated. I am looking to purchase an iPhone from Amazon that said locked + carrier subscription. When I reached out to Amazon Customer service, they mentioned the price shown during checkout includes subscription of unlimited plan for an entire year. Does that sound accurate? If so, can I request to unlock the phone once I receive it?
I bought cricket 16e last week for $9.99 + 3 months $180.
Can I trade this in at Apple? Do I need to wait for anything?
Thanks all!
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with Cricket Wireless.
I set up Auto Pay on June 30. After I turned it on, my bill in the app changed from $60 to $55, and it showed that $55 was due on July 1. On July 1, I paid the $55 amount shown in the app.
However, on July 2, I found out that my service was suspended. The app then said I still needed to pay a remaining $5 balance, plus another $5 reactivation fee, in order to restore my service.
This feels really weird to me because I paid the full amount that the app showed as due. If the app showed $55 due after Auto Pay was applied, I don’t understand why I’m being treated as if I underpaid or missed a payment.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Is this a normal Cricket billing issue, or should I contact support and ask them to remove the reactivation fee?
Hi Everyone,
I am making a post about the NEW Cricket policy to UNLOCK phones. I knew it been posted before but today is July 1, 2026, and this is the REAL confirmation that you have to be with Cricket for 1 year to unlock the phones AS OF TODAY. If you bought your phone prior today it should stick with the old policy and you can unlock for 6 months.
So does this apply if you purchased before July 1st or activated before July 1st ?
hi i have create a fundraiser for myself . please read and if possible share and please fund me
Bought the iPhone and ported out the number on the june27 but, it was delayed in shipping and will arrive july 1st.. will the phone be part of the 6 months policy or 365 policy to unlock. Does it count down start from purchase date or day of activation. 😑 will have to return it if I have to wait a year.
Update: I was able to activate the line on the website while the phone was still in shipping 🤣. So I’m in the save zone.
Need good free/discounted phone due to lost device but I need phone to unlocked without continuous service thru with prepaid carrier (asap)
can i do this phone deal thru since i can have postpaid sim/service thru at&t & verizon (family & SO)?
With the iPhone 16e deal, I ordered and activated the phone. Unlock policy is changing on July 1, I assume that if I miss a payment out of the 6 months it defaults to the new unlock policy?
Cricket Passport doesn’t work in Barcelona unless… you turn off Auto Network detect and then connect to the Orange nextwork. Auto Connect was connecting me to Vodafone ES which will give you a constant “E” symbol and almost zero data.
I did call tech support and they gave me other tips, but did not mention this.
When we drove into the south of France, all of a sudden I was getting good 5G service. Drove back to to Spain and it disappeared and went back to “E.” That’s when I tried connecting to the “Orange” Network.
So it’s a bummer to pay for Passport and only get it working on the 5th day of the trip.
We have been with Cricket for many years and within the last 6 months Cricket turns off service multiple times a day.
We have signal just about everywhere we are at. But it still gets turned off.
We pay the bill every month. So we know that not it.
Any ideas?
Maybe I played myself, not quite sure what to do.
I ordered an iPhone 16e on the promo for $10 if you port-in as a new customer. My phone was supposed to arrive today but it now says it says it's delayed. My service with my current carrier (straight talk) ends tonight (my fault for not making sure there was more time for the phone to arrive). I have tried contacting my current carrier but cannot get through because it says I no longer have any active lines on my account.
So now I am unsure of if I'll be able to finish the port once my phone is delivered since my line is technically no longer active. Has anyone dealt with a situation like this before? Am I SOL with my number since it was being ported over and now inactive with my current carrier?
So my mom and brother have a shared plan on cricket for the last few years. His I phone se (2nd gen) is shitting itself finally and all he does is use communications and gps so a 16e makes sense for the $0 promo. The issue is he is stubborn and doesn’t want to change his number. My partner already has a 16 (non e) but we were planning to bring her device as a new line to cricket asap.
If I order the 16e with her number to enable the BYOL deal, will her phone number defer to the 16e IMEI automatically? Or can she immediately just begin cricket service on her 16, and have the 16e shipped to my brother to then switch his current line onto.
I've never knowingly experienced a Cricket network slowdown but perhaps now I have? Our fiber went out (blew a fuse) and my son was complaining about slow data. I tried to check Speedtest on his iphone16+, and it was ~14mbps. I then tried to pull up Speedtest on my Pixel9 and chrome would time out before the page loaded.
Cricket had recently screwed me around on billing and I thought something similar might be happening so I reached out via chat. The CSR said that while their "tools are being updated and they can't access my account", she did ask for my address and stated that they are "experiencing network problems in your area".
Do you think that means ATT/Cricket is having problems with their whole/local network, or that they're prioritizing ATT traffic over Cricket (or perhaps the CSR was just saying words to get me to go away)?
Will they honor this deal in store to get the phone today?
I've always been able to send an email message via text by sending the email to either phonenumber@sms.cricketwireless.net OR to phonenumber@mms.cricketwireless.net ... but it no longer seems to be working.
Anyone know the correct way to do this now?
Thanks!
All 3 phones are still on the unlimited+15gb hotspot plans. It shows 2 of the phones are getting the discount, so do the 3 lines get the discount?
Have ordered 2 iPhone 16e by porting in numbers. Status is still in processing since 4 hours. Is it normal?
There was an issue with 1 line which was fixed.
