Crypto.com customer service is so laughably useless I don't know if I should laugh or get mad

My God.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever dealt with customer service this useless.

Crypto.com support feels like it’s designed to make you give up. You explain the issue clearly, and instead of actually reading what you wrote, they just ask for screenshots. So you send the screenshot. Then the next reply is, “Can you send a screen recording?”

A screen recording of what? The exact same thing I already showed you in the screenshot? How is that magically going to reveal the secrets of the universe?

It genuinely feels like they’re not troubleshooting anything. They’re just stalling with copy paste responses and hoping you get tired enough to leave. Every answer sounds like it came from a script, and nobody seems to understand the actual problem. You can tell them exactly what is happening, step by step, and they’ll still respond like they’re reading from a flowchart written for a completely different issue.

The whole thing is laughable. Screenshots, then screen recordings, then generic template replies, then more waiting. No actual solution. No real escalation. Just endless “please provide more information” while they ignore the information you already provided.

For a company handling people’s money, the support experience is honestly embarrassing.

Anyone experienced unauthorized Crypto.com access bypassing OTP / 2FA?

Hi all,

I’m trying to find out whether anyone else has experienced something similar with Crypto.com.

Recently my Crypto.com account was compromised and unauthorized crypto transfers were completed within around 2 minutes. The funds were sent out so quickly that there was basically no time to react before the transactions became irreversible.

What concerns me is:

There appeared to be logins from different IP addresses / locations;

Possible “impossible travel” activity was not blocked;

I later noticed 2 OTP SMS messages after turning off flight mode on my phone;

Crypto.com never clearly explained what triggered those OTP requests;

The unauthorized transactions still went through.

It honestly feels like the attacker may have somehow bypassed or defeated the OTP / 2FA protections, or that the security system malfunctioned during the incident.

I did NOT approve the withdrawals myself.

I’m trying to understand:

Has anyone experienced similar unauthorized access on Crypto.com?

Did anyone notice OTP delays, missing notifications, or 2FA issues?

Were your withdrawals processed unusually fast?

Did Crypto.com provide any useful explanation?

I’ve already reported the matter and am escalating it with regulators, but I want to know whether this may be part of a wider pattern affecting other users.

Stuck due to a non-existing app update

The app insists I update it before I can continue to use it, but there are no available app updates on the App Store with most recent version being 3.232.02 released a week a go which is what I have.

Tried rebooting the phone, refreshing the app store updates page, nothing!

Update: it works now. The update is still not showing but at least the available version now works.

App Notifications are Misleading

Good morning!

I was wondering if anyone else feels like the CDC app notifications are misleading. I regularly get notifications like the one attached in this picture suggesting that I could earn 5% p.a. by locking up some BTC. The second picture shows that the highest rate offered currently is 1.5.

I am a pro member and have a CRO at the Jade level. If those 5% rates are offered for other tears, I guess I’m wondering why I even get the notice if it’s not applicable to my situation and there isn’t an explanation on how to get there once you navigate through the notification. In my opinion, it’s either intentionally misleading, a terrible app workflow, or both.

Thoughts? Do you guys have a similar experience with those types of notifications?

Legacy CRO stake, accepting new terms of service, and new level up program / PRO level

Hi!

Hopefully someone here would be able to give me a clear and concise answer to my wonderings, hopefully based on experience.

I have tried FAQ. I have tried support, several times, ticket has been escalated twice and the answer is different every time. Mainly looking for experience from someone in a similar situation.

I have staked for Royal Indigo tier in 2021. Total CRO 10 034, originally valued at 3 500 EUR, and now valued at around 594 EUR.

I have not accepted the "new" terms&conditions, thus weekly 4 % p.a. CRO payouts have stopped (a long time ago already).

Without accepting terms&conditions it is of course possible to sell everything right now, which I don't want and I use the card mainly for lounge benefits. If I don't accept terms&conditions will I get a new card still in 2027 after current card expires?

Mainly I would want to know what happens IF I accept the terms&conditions.

I have so far understood that accepting the terms&conditions will move my "legacy CRO stake" to an on-chain staking mechanism, weekly CRO pay-outs will "likely" resume (but lock-up sum 10 034 CRO and pay-outs will be locked directly in on-chain staking, not freely usable, until entire stake is moved away which has a locking period of around 36 days), and the new PRO level-up tier will be my tier.

What happens to lounge benefits if accept terms&conditions? This is really the only benefit that matters to me.

Is it so I will keep the new PRO tier indefinitely? Or will I need to stake more at some point or pay monthly subscription?

Will my tier be downgraded if I accept the the "new" terms&conditions? Since 10 034 CRO is not valued at 3 500 EUR but 594 EUR.

Will the weekly CRO pay-outs resume? At what percentage? 4 % p.a. in CRO based on original lock sum or current EUR value of lock-up sum? Or something else?

What is the card cashback in a situation like this? 3% or something else?

What happens to lounge access if I sell/ unstake the the locked up CRO?

What is the best thing to do at the moment?
