Hit by pitch

If they really want to protect the players let's have a rule. Second HBP by a team in a game is a warning, third HBP by a team is an automatic ejection.

If that's too harsh maybe tie it to the pitcher. But 3 in 1 1/3 innings is too much to be "just part of the game"

One more and I'd be looking for benches to empty

Seeking a huge favor! Proposing at the game and need a "secret photographer"

Hi everyone!
I’m planning to propose to my girlfriend at Wrigley Field during the Cubs vs. Brewers night game on Tuesday, September 1st, and I officially booked the Cubs scoreboard proposal package!
Unfortunately, because of the stadium’s camera policy, I won’t be able to bring in a professional photographer. So I figured I’d ask the amazing Cubs/Reddit community for a little help.
The proposal message will appear on the left-field video board during the middle of the 5th inning, and I’ll be proposing right then.
We’ll be sitting in Section 29. If you’re nearby—or even if you have a good view of our section—and wouldn’t mind recording a quick video or snapping a few photos on your phone, it would mean the world to us. I can send you our exact seat numbers via DM so you know exactly where to point your camera.
I’d be incredibly grateful, and I’d be happy to buy you a beer or your favorite ballpark snack as a thank-you.
If you’re willing to help make this moment unforgettable, please leave a comment or send me a message.
Thank you, and go Cubs!

Wrigley field seats:

Hello, I’m from England and will be coming to watch the Cubs (I’m a fan but my 2 friends with me don’t watch baseball), we are going to either a Saturday or Sunday game against the pirates (most likely Sunday) and wondered where is best to sit, I was thinking the bleachers as it seems pretty lively there and isn’t too expensive. What would you recommend?

Edit: would people recommend I attend the Saturday or Sunday game, they both start at 1:20Pm I believe.

I’ll miss seeing him on TV, but I’m glad he was able to get to see his team win a WS

Life After Pat Hughes

There's been a lot of discussion around what will happen to the Cubs radio broadcast after our dear hall of famer hangs up the mic - and seemingly unanimous agreement that Zach Zaidman likely isn't the answer. I've had one idea kicking around and wanted to see if it's crossed others' minds as well: Len Kasper.

Nobody will be able to replace Pat, but I loved Len and Bob Brenly back in the WGN days, and think he would do an incredible job back on the North Side.

Friday or Saturday game

Hey so my dad is from Chicago and I was thinking of surprising him with tickets to a cubs game and a flight over there for his birthday. I’m thinking of going for the game against Pittsburgh on Sep 11th or 12th. Both are at 1:20pm but I’m not sure if Friday or Saturday is a better experience. I would ask him but that would kinda ruin the surprise. What do you all think?

Over the last 10 games, the Cubs and Brewers are both 7-0 against everyone except each other

Even when we're this smoking hot, they can't gain an inch in the standings this season. But, they did create a little room in the WC standings, and gained five games on the Cards, with three more games against them on deck.

Anyone have a screenshot of the 2 Mormon Missionaries celebrating during Go Cubs Go after today's game? They are the only ones wearing the white shirts with ties.

Radio broadcast - who is laughing in the background?

On the Cubs radio broadcast, I've always been curious who that person is that is laughing in the background. Is that like an engineer in the booth?

Dead Balls Last Night

Anyone else feel like the game last night had dead balls. Many many instances of balls that looked squared up that just died in the air even with the wind blowing out. Just a thought

Pat and Ron audio

I was pleasantly surprised that Apple TV gave viewers of the game on Friday the option of listening to the score broadcast with no delays. It was great. Now, I’m wondering why I pay monthly for marquee and this isn’t a feature within the app?
