Hi
I have my Formentor 1.5 TSI since March of this year and I'm really disappointed with the mileage
I get like 10-12L/100km (19 to 23mpg) while driving in city and around 7-9L (26 to 33 mpg) on other roads
I have tried various driving style (grandpa to sporty) but there is no major impact on the petrol consumption
What do you think of it ? Is it normal ?
I'm starting to regret buying this car. Not only because of this but other annoying things. I think I should have bought a hybrid version but the boot is so small...
I was on vacation and left an air freshener in the car and there have been some really hot days and when i got back this was where the air freshener was. Is there a way to repair it? It seems like the plastic shrunk.
Hello guys,
I’ve been dealing with an annoying rattle coming from the rear right side.
If anyone had a similar issue or knows what might be causing it, I’d really appreciate your help!
Thanks!
Hi All,
I keep periodically getting this message on my Cupra Leon from the infotainment screen.
I don't have the Cupra connect app set up yet as I'm still waiting for my second key from the dealer, the car is an ex-demo model from the back half of 2025.
The phone I'm using is a Samsung S25+.
Is there a way to stop this happening? It happens to me occasionally on my partner's Skoda Octavia too.
Thanks in advance!
I ordered a Formentor e-hybrid (204hp) and am waiting for delivery.
Given that the battery has a gross capacity of 25kWh and a usable capacity of 20kWh, what is the best way to charge the battery?
Can I charge it to 100%, considering that the usable capacity is already 80% of the gross capacity? Or should I still only charge it up to 80%?
If I do that, in reality, I am only charging 65% of the battery.
Or is my thinking wrong?
was about to order a Formentor in the beautiful Enceladus Grey, but after researching matte paint maintenance and scratch repair, I started having second thoughts.
The Cupra dealer told me that, to properly fix scratches, the whole panel usually needs to be repainted — and that this applies to other colors too (like Graphene Grey) if you want a perfect result.
So I’d really like to hear from Cupra owners with matte colors:
The alternative is to get the Graphene Grey.
Thank you
I’m thinking about to buy a used Cobra Formentor, but I’m not sure about the Consumption?
How much consumption are you all having on this Reddit?
Thank you all, everybody
Someone know?? Its very loud :(
Hi, looking for owners experience in Europe to understand how much would Formentor VZ cost me annually, please share your experience.
So I got some update a couple days ago (not the usual one, onu9 or something) and this purple light is now the default.
Thiis version of cupra does not have this color so I guess this is like a bug of some kind. Im afraid to touch the ambient light settings now and lose it.
Anyone else got it?
Its a Cupra Leon 2021 btw
Hi guys!
Cupra Leon ehybrid 245 HP VZe model year 2023 - pre facelift.
I have a question, on the drive profile settings, under the “individual” option, I have the DCC slider and all the settings that go from comfort to cupra. But there’s no dropdown for the suspension. When I change from comfort to sport or cupra pre selection modes the suspension seems more firm and the car seems to “jump” a lot less on high speeds, but it can be a thing of my mind….
Does the car actually have adaptative suspension or not?
Hi all,
I recently bought a 2023 cupra leon sportstourer with a 1.5 etsi and the dq200 dsg. I really like the car and it's been great so far but i cannot seem to figure out how to drive it in traffic.
I have read that you shouldn't use the break to keep the car slow and "to drive it like a manual" but i seem to struggle doing that.
*A few observations i have made*
When i lock the car in first gear and let of all the pedals on flat ground, the car rolls at 7kmh. In second gear this is 14-15 kmh.
I presume when im rolling at 7kmh in 1st or 15kmh in second, the clutch is completely closed and not slipping? I am right in thinking thag?
When I am in traffic in D, the car tries to shift to second the moment i go above about 9kmh and does not downshift until i havr come to a complete stop. This means that if i made it to 9kmh and slow back down to 7kmh, thr clutch is slipping in second right?
What i have been doing in traffic is putting it into sport mode so it holds 1st gear until about 14kmh but if i go above that it shifts to 2th and like in drive, it does not downshift until i have come to a complete stop. So when i encounter traffic that moves between a couple kmh and 20kmh i have been putting it into manual mode and shifting between 1st and 2th myself but this is pretty annoying to do.
*my questions*
does it actually mather wheter im shifting manually or just leave it in D in traffic? My dad owned a 2017 audi A6 with a 7 speed dsg and he drove the car in D when in traffic for all it's live and never had a problem eventhough it behaved the same as my dsg. I also have a friend with a bmw that had the steptronic and he also just leaves it in D and has never had a clutch issue despite being in near standstill traffic for 1 to 2h a day 5 days a week for 3 years.
what do you do when traffic moves slower than 7kmh? The advicr i read has said to either be completely stopped or at a speed where the clutcj is fully engaged but a lot of traffic i encounter is between 3 and 5kmh. That is to slow for the clutch to fully engage but its also to fast to start stop. I was told to not ride the breaks so Ive been comming to a complete stop for like 1 second, speeding up to 7kmh and then stopping again but i can immagine that that is gonna make passangers sick and ive already pissed of a lot of people behind me doing that.
what do people mean with "drive it like a manual"? They say smooth inputs which i get but when i drive a manual in traffic, i lift the clutch to roll the car and then depress it and just coast in neutral so i don't destroy the clutch. But a dsg doesnt have a clutch so you cant do that.
My thoughts about dsg's right now are that they are harder to drive than a manual and everytime im in traffic, i wish i had a manual. On the other hand, i find it hard to believe that after over a decade of R&D on DCT's and the prevalence of them today, driving in traffic is still such an issue. You would think that VW would have figured out how to make the dsg drivable in these very commen conditions.
Hi all,
First time posting on reddit so please bare with.
I currently have the formentor V2 and every time I go to turn the steering wheel, no matter if its left or right, there is a creaking noise. My dad is adamant i have it booked in with the dealership and have it looked at because it shouldn't be making this noise. The noise seems to come from the rack somewhere if that makes sense?
I've come on here to see if this is common with the formentor before I book it in with the dealership and waste each others time.
Thanks 😁
So I've just picked up this new beauty, used from. A dealership.... Old user is still primary, the globe is greyed out, can't access privacy settings, can't change the user, can't revoke access, can't connect myself to the car.... Any way of fixing without going to a dealership? If I went to a cupra dealership would they sort it for free or would it have to be the seat dealership 60 miles away where I bought it from?
What I can tell, globe is grey because the esim, isn't activated through any plan, can't do that without the app, can't sort the app because no globe.... I've connected to my phone's hotspot still not able to access anything or do the update I'm prompted to do in the little notifications bar by the globe
Thanks for any advice or insight you guys can offer
Last picture is the current color with the possible new wheels
Good evening, I have a Cupra Formentor from 12/2022 with 40,000 kilometers.
Is it normal that after starting, during the first few meters, you hear a one-time “scratching” or “grinding” noise? It could be coming from the clutch area. It has been like this since the beginning, ever since I got the car. Has anyone else experienced the situation described?
I apologize in advance for posting in French 🥖🥐 🇫🇷 , as my question concerns French law and taxation for the Formentor 🙏
Avis aux membres français.
Salut,
est-ce qu'un propriétaire d'une formentor VZ 272ch phase 2 (et seulement phase 2) peut me dire les émissions de co2 qui sont indiqué sur sa carte grise ? (ligne V7 il me semble)
