Dick Dickerson from BattleSmash's custom guitar by Ryan Booth at The JamBooth...

Hey Dick here. People are always bugging me about this at shows and lately I've seen alot of discussion on the internet about what my guitar is. Some FUCKER said I play an ^(SG) which I'm not going to stand for; so I figured I'd make this post about it...

The headless "BattleSmash Green" with space invader inlays guitar that I play is my SIGNATURE MODEL. It is based off a design that I drew on a pizza box in the early 60's that was later stolen by Ned Steinberger. I had my guitar tech Booth build it.

He usually only modifies guitars, this is the only one he built so far. It uses a floating R-TREM system; specifically a heavily modified "Overlord of Music" bridge. The posts have been drilled out and heavy brass inserts have been installed with real Floyd Rose posts. The screws have all been changed from grubs to proper good screws and the main thumbscrew has been reinforced with multiple bolts to hold tuning on heavier gauge strings. I can lock the bridge into fixed position with a latch thing on the bottom of it (like all floating bridges should have... but they don't).

It only has a volume knob, pick up selecter switch and an EMG killswitch because thats all you need. Inside the wiring is a modified EMG solderless system including a B245 Pickup Buss and buffer capable of integrating the Seymour Duncan Dimebucker (DickBucker) as well as the EMG H4A. Basswood body, maple and rosewood 24 fret neck.

It's finished with possibly the thickest coat of TRU OIL I've ever seen, The neck is a bit thinner then a strat, they fucked this up; I wanted like a Schecter neck or whatever Ibanez has "Wizard" (insert whatever number here). The body is just shiny and hard from a furniture lacquer. It's set up to use normal single ball strings.

I use the lightest strings possible even though Ryan has it set up to handle shit heavier then "fat bottoms skinny tops" just to fuck with him haha.

^(K, I'm all done doing this now.)
