It’s coming back
I was diagnosed with CVS in 2018 and fought it hard, I spent a lot of time in the hospital, received so many IVs, and lost almost 150lbs. I genuinely thought that I was going to die.
I took me a few years, but I pulled out of it and learned how to manage my symptoms, spot the warning signs, the whole nine yards. I had years of nothing, almost completely symptom free to the point that I sometimes forget that I carry this with me.
It’s coming back.
I can feel the early signs, the way it’s draining me completely already and I haven’t even had what I’d call a bad one yet. Previously I’d go for four or five days at a time and I’m getting scared that I’ll be reliving that soon.
I never thought to look for a group of people who know what this is like. I’m the only one I know affected by it, and I just needed to say it somewhere. I’m scared.
