their Draining Love Story remix is genuinely a beautiful album i have been eating their shit UP since they came back. for the record i am a HUGE fan of Cyn. i've bought every single album, been listening to them since their sewerslvt era. i'm not sure what happened but after their collabs with ProjecktMelody they had like a really significant style shift to like, more angry dubstep than breakcore...? its way more loud and in your face and a lot of songs feel like they're leading up to something but never really pay off on it? its weird, i dunno. for the record i'm not trying to shit on their newer music, i'd rather they make stuff that makes em happy, but its just not my thing anymore and it makes me sad cuz they're my fav artist :(

edit: i wasn't aware Cyn isn't "breakcore" (music genres are weird lol there's so many). i like their more ambient dnb style tracks. some of my top favs are Hurts2Know and Inertia Status :3

I've listened to Cynthoni’s entire discography since the beginning of the EP SLVTCRVSHER/NIGHTCASTER.

Up ​​until now, I agreed with the opinion, namely that each Cynthoni track is similar to the previous one. In fact, in addition to the new noticeable style, you can hear a completely fresh approach to sound design, the main concept of the tracks and the creation of a noticeable "author's handwriting" only from a more aggressive side.

ANNIHILATION – is a masterpiece. How successfully multi-genre fits into one track is incomparable to anything. different new «handwriting», the sounds of Cynthoni that are already familiar to us, you can also notice bold accents on the sound of Sewerslvt. That is, it's a kind of salad in which we have Cynthoni, Sewerslvt, and something new. There is also a general growth of the artist in all these EPs, after which they moved away from ambient, drum and bass or just hardcore tracks.

I agree with the take I read under one of the posts that “Cynthoni is positioning themselves more as an EDM artist now”. Now they are trying to open their side of «madness» «in the eyes of Cynthoni». What will happen with this and what the next genre/performative path will be, we will see, but what I can say for sure is that I like their current direction extremely much.
