2017 Macbook Pro is being used as a network music server. USB Power Supply Noise Issue
Has anyone found a quiet power supply? I am using an outboard USB DAC for music playback. When the laptop is connected to its original power supply, I hear background static and noise. When unplugged and running on battery, it's perfectly quiet. Tried a different Apple power supply and got a different noise. Swapped USB cables and no difference. Tried a new 100 watt GaN type charger, and it is the noisiest. This is a total fail.
