Need Help Choosing DJI Mic Mini Kit - Compatibility & Best Setup Advice?

Hi everyone 👋

I currently own a DJI Mic Mini (1 TX), which I mainly use connected to my DJI Osmo Mobile 7P through the built-in receiver module. Now I’d also like to use the Mic Mini without the gimbal, using a standalone receiver as well.

Since I also need extra microphones, I’m undecided between these options:

  • DJI Mic Mini 2 (2 TX + 1 standard RX + charging case) — €99
  • DJI Mic Mini 2 (1 TX + 1 mobile RX + charging case) — €59
  • DJI Mic Mini 1 (1 TX + 1 RX) — €45
  • DJI Mic Mini 1 (2 TX + 1 RX + charging case) — €79

What would you choose in my situation?

My main doubts are about compatibility:

  • Can I connect a Mic Mini 1 transmitter and a Mic Mini 2 transmitter to the same receiver?
  • Can the receiver from the Mic Mini 2 work with older Mic Mini 1 transmitters?
  • And does the Osmo Mobile 7P receiver module support mixing Mic Mini 1 + Mic Mini 2 together?

From what I found online, DJI microphones from different generations don’t always support cross-pairing between receivers/transmitters, especially between Mic Mini and Mic 2 systems.

At the moment I’m leaning toward the Mic Mini 2 (2 TX + standard RX) because it seems more future-proof, but I’m not sure if it’s worth spending more instead of just getting another Mic Mini 1 kit.

What would you do? Thanks 🙏

The new DJI Mic colors weirdly remind me of Impressionist paintings

Last week I was looking at the DJI Mic Mini 2 and honestly ended up spending too much time staring at the color options. The art-inspired shells come in four colors, and two of them really stood out to me.

One of them immediately reminded me of Monet's Impression, Sunrise. The soft blue and purple tones with the warm orange mixed in gave me the same early morning harbor vibe. So I put them together just for fun to see how it would look.

Then the black and gold version made me think of Turner, especially the Fighting Temeraire. Same kind of dark shadows with warm gold light across the water.

Maybe I am completely reading too much into it and the designers were not thinking about paintings at all. But the colors genuinely gave me that impressionist painting feeling for some reason.

Did anyone else get art or painting vibes from these designs, or am I not the only one who really likes these colorways?
