Exhausted after 1.5 years of fighting for my relationship - now being pushed into arranged marriage. Need advice.
I told my parents 1.5 years ago that I want to marry my boyfriend. They completely rejected it. After endless arguments and non-stop conflict, I finally gave up and told them I just wouldn't get married at all.
They gave me all the typical logic about not staying single. Out of sheer mental fatigue, I eventually told them, 'Fine, do whatever you want, I'll just compromise for your sake.'
Now they've found a guy within our community and are pressuring me to meet him and 'get to know him.' But mentally and emotionally, I have zero desire to meet anyone or go through this process.
How do I handle this situation now? Has anyone been through something similar?
