Hey guys I was curious how many of you have removed the pin and welded A2 from your m4a1’s and if it was risky destroying the threads underneath, I’d have a gun smith do the work.

First off I love my pistol and I want this platform to take off. Here are some holsters and my experience with them. Originally holsters for this pistol were hard to find and I want to help streamline the process for others.

US Duty Gear: Basically a safariland and what I wanted for a duty style holster. Fully compatible with the safariland eco system. It's great but you have to email the company and do a special request for this platform. USA made. Good enough I probably wouldn't buy a safariland if one came out for the H9 unless I experience quality issues with this one.

Gcode: It was fine and its RDS compatible. I used a Dara bridge device to add a safariland QLS fork because the rest of my gear is safariland. After modding it was a bit janky and I sold it as soon as I got the US Duty gear version. But it was an option and it worked until something better came. If you already like Gcode and their ecosystem you will probably like it.

Black Hills Leather: Trooper DPS hoster. Quality hoster but needed to special request it. I wanted an OWB that covered the barrel of the pistol for daily carry. It is custom molded to the H9. After break in it works great but during break in it was uncomfortable because it pushed the H9 beaver tail into my side and ribs. Leather was stiff originally but it broke in and is high quality.

Versacarry Trooper size 2: Comfort wise for daily carry this holster was supreme. But not custom fit for the gun. Versacarry is also out of business now. I only switched because I wantes the barrel of the gun covered.

Saw this was coming out soon and wondered what the opinions were on it. Seems like another m4a1 / mk18 variant. Still very interesting

Found this complete upper for sale, Surefire Scout and MBUS3 included, and the price on it is a steal. Planning to pick it up tomorrow. Upper looks to be a DD A4 upper receiver, but I'm unsure if the RIS II handguard is legitimate or not. The top lettering is semi-visible on the first image, which leads me to believe it could be real.

Got mine from the shop and noticed the comp was timed not at 12o clock. Should it be like this? Know some do that for right handed people, but always thought it was 12 o clock by default.

I am behind the enemy lines in Commifornia so we don't get the nice AR pistols or SBRs but it is what it is. Took me a while to build the MK18 ARP but finally its done.

Got this last week and finally took it to the range yesterday for the first time.

I’m still not sure how I feel about the reliability. I put around 250 rounds through it, and about 50 of those came from a bag of random rounds my friend found at the gun store he owns. Those 50 rounds failed to feed every 3 to 5 shots or so. He had warned me beforehand that there might be some duds in the mix. The casings and bullets also looked rough, with some corrosion and discoloration. But, I haven’t had many failure to feeds in my Glocks or Archon Type B.

That said, the other 200 or so rounds from various brands ran flawlessly without a single issue. So I believe the problems were ammo related rather than firearm related, but time will tell.

The trigger is amazing. Very light pull with a short reset. I haven’t had a chance to measure the pull weight yet, but it definitely feels lighter than my Glocks and my Archon Type B.

The sights are nice too. Subjective, obviously, but I prefer them over my Glocks and slightly over the Archon Type B as well.

Recoil is where this thing really shines. It feels softer shooting than my Glocks and possibly even softer than my Archon Type B, although the Archon is close.

If it continues to prove reliable with more rounds through it, this will dethrone the Archon and become my favorite handgun.

My first gun, DDM4v7! Picked it up and put 80 rounds through it last night while trying to zero in my holosun aems. I love it!!!! I have a BCM tilted foregrip I’ll throw on there. Maybe also some rail covers. In the future I am thinking about getting an LPVO for longer range shooting because thats something I definitely want to do with this rifle. My current range only has up to 25 yards. Let me know your thoughts and recs! Cheers boys!

Which one do you like better? Mk18 with the Griffin MK2 in Terra Brown or black B.R.O.

The Terra Brown has more of a copper color than the DD hanguard

In case anyone is wondering how a DD upper would look with an Aero kodiak brown lower.

Hey everyone, I looked but could not find any differences between these two variants. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the two and if so what is it? Or is this just a matter of old stock vs new stock or unique UPCs for different vendors?
