Help me write this name in Arabic?

My uncle’s first name was Tayib and I want to get a necklace with that name on it in Arabic script.

How do you write the name Tayib in Arabic? Is it differently written as a Moroccan? Any answers or explanations from fluent/native speakers and writers especially will be helpful.

I am also wondering how you would spell that name in English if you were writing it out? I notice that Tayib is a less common spelling than Tayeb, Tayyeb, etc. But my parents wrote Tayib so I have gone with that spelling.

Also, do you know if that name is still commonly used for boys in Morocco? Do you know anyone named Tayib? How do they spell it?

I am Moroccan but I am estranged from my parents and relatives, otherwise I would have asked them these questions. Thank you for sharing with me!

Salam,

I’m trying to learn darija and want some good suggestions for creators. Preferably funny, commentary style videos. Even relationship or philosophy podcasts are good.

Thanks!

Watiqati Maroc

Since it’s hard to find a job in this small city where I live I thought about doing it out of passion and also to support my life expenses

Looking for language exchange buddies! (Native Arabic/Darija speaker)

Hi everyone!

I am a native Arabic speaker from Morocco. I am looking for friends who are learning Arabic so we can chat and practice together.

I speak Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) and Moroccan Darija, as well as fluent French and intermediate English.

I want to practice and improve my English through casual daily conversations. In return, we can chat in Arabic (Fusha or Darija) to help you practice too.

If you want to be chat buddies, please leave a comment or send me a DM! 😊

Question about Darija and Levantine arabic

Hi everyone, i'd like an opinion from speakers of moroccan darija and also levantine arabic, from my understanding they are not intelligible at all, despite coming from a shared root, my question as a latin language native speaker, is the difference from Darija to Levantine arabic comparable to the difference between let's say spanish and french, or is the difference even greater?, if so how do they compare?

Native Moroccan here — offering Darija (Moroccan Arabic) lessons for foreigners

Hey everyone,

I’m a native Moroccan and I teach Darija (Moroccan Arabic) to foreigners who want to actually communicate when they’re here — whether you’re moving to Morocco, married into a Moroccan family, traveling long-term, or just love the language and culture.

Darija is really different from Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), so even people who studied “Arabic” for years often can’t follow a normal conversation on the street. I focus on practical, everyday Darija — the way people actually speak in markets, with friends, in taxis, at family gatherings — not textbook phrases nobody uses.

What I offer:

**•**	1-on-1 online lessons (flexible scheduling)
**•**	Focus on real conversation, common expressions, and useful vocabulary
**•**	Help with Moroccan culture/customs so things make more sense
**•**	Lessons tailored to your goals (travel, family, work, etc.)

If you’re interested or just have questions about learning Darija, feel free to comment or DM me. Happy to do a free intro chat first so you can see if it’s a good fit.

Let’s be real: What online methods are ACTUALLY making money right now? (No BS)

Every time this gets asked, the replies are always "do surveys for pennies" or some fake guru trying to sell a course. Let’s skip the generic fluff.

What actual, repeatable methods are bringing in real revenue on the web right now? If you are genuinely making clear profits online, drop your exact method or niche below.

Let's make this a zero-BS thread to see what's actually viable.

Darija dial rabat people

I just want to address something I’ve noticed in Rabat.

Why do some people address women using masculine adjectives or masculine forms of speech? Every time I hear it, it sounds strange and honestly a bit disrespectful. If you’re talking to a woman, why not use the feminine form?

I’m not criticizing the dialect. I’m genuinely curious about where this habit comes from.
