Asking the Real Men whats actually fun in the top lane this season

it doesnt even bother me that most top match ups are ranged now bc personally i think most players at my rank have horrifc spacing, but the rest of the team is locking in ranged now too. just perma afking some lanes to try to fight brand ashe zed shaco and teemo. what champ is actaully enjoyable in this meta

since darius r has cast time, doesn't it mean this item makes us do more damage since it activates before our r lands?

extra 45 true damage on our r early seems huge with axiom arcanist doesn't it?

Back then I bought this Mythic Dunkmaster Darius chroma and I’ve literally never seen it in the Mythic Shop again, nor have I EVER seen anyone else using it besides me to this day. Once you hit 5 stacks, Darius turns completely BLUE (???) xD

How TF do you guys OTP this champ?

I swtg every time I try to one trick Darius I get a fat dose of Wukong staff to the face or similarly unplayable match ups.

It's so frustrating that Leagues premier lane bully has so many terrible matchups that he can't bully lol.

"Even total opposites can be great teammates (sometimes)" by HeavyMetalHanzo!

Image description: An illustration of Darius and Jinx by HeavyMetalHanzo. Darius sharpens his axe and looks irritated while Jinx laughs and points a finger gun at him. Jinx's explosives are littered around her. In the background, Noxian soldiers appear on the Annihilator's Reach stage.

It annoys me that you get 0 respect as Darius playing a genuinely difficult champion.

The LoL community's perception of Darius is so hilariously wrong. He's seen as a low elo easy lane stomper. This is literally the opposite of true.

Most of his matchups are skill matchups where you make one mistake and the enemy laner will be feeding you your teeth.

He wins more the higher in elo you go.

He's hard to pilot. I don't know why people act like not having Riven combos means a champion is mechanically easy. Most of the champions people agree are difficult do not have Riven combos. Darius has very specific skill ordering that makes or breaks fights that constantly changes depending on the situation and positioning is highly important. In teamfights he has a lot of split second decisions that are the difference between exploding instantly and getting a quadra.

I'm not a Darius one-trick. I play Gwen, Olaf, and Vayne. I always feel like Darius is by far the one I have to lock in on the most. Anecdotally he's also usually the lowest winrate of "part-timers" I see.

[NEW STRATEGY] Voltaic Cyclesword on Darius

Something new that I am trying out in Diamond.

Look at the damage... Vladimir was Full hp - I know I am ahead in gold but with any other build I do not think I would be able to output as much damage

What so great about it... you get 10 passive lethality and 15 on activation.

Total 25 lethality on hit -> after passive % armor reduction and lethality players only have 10-20% damage reduction.

Moreover you get 9% current health damage on hit (even ability) every 10 seconds or LESS!

It works great with Stormraider's surge because of the damage spike.

Combining that with (Sheen) Trinity just shreds the enemies.

Ended up 18/2

It goes well with my aggressive playstyle.

This may not be everyone's cup of tea but for me it makes the game much more fun.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THE NEW STORMRAIDER'S SURGE!

The extra one second is freaking ridiculously strong.

It means more move speed time, more slow resist time, less cooldown technically because of 1 more active time on the rune.

It's waaaaaay better than conq set up now since you go ignite with Stormraiders.

P.S: It also out scales conqueror on Darius for obvious reasons.

me: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/warcraftisg00d-NA1

i just recently started playing ranked after being a pure normal player since when I first started in 2021. I decided to OTP darius and at first it was fine, promos placed me in iron 1 and i climbed to bronze, but I'm in Bronze 1 after a few days and noticed my games were just wayyy harder/huge difficulty spike. Then I checked opgg and realized my enemy top laner and most if sometimes all of the enemy team was platinum/gold? How do I climb if I'm being put against much more difficult opponents than me?
