Aim or Look and throw?

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.

Currently going through some throw changes to try and improve my consistency, and tonight for fun I decided to change to more of a feel throw/rhythm.

What I discovered was that the feel throw does actually feel better for me. I think I liken it to how I throw a football, I don’t actually aim where I throw the ball more so I throw a football to a “spot”.

I think moving forward I might treat my darts throw like that, throwing more to a spot and a feel than actually setting, and aiming the dart.

How do you personally throw?

NDD: Cuesoul s5 Jiho

Picked up a soft tip set with conversion points to test out first. They’re probably the only barrel I know of with two scallops way at the back. They don’t kick much even with a rear grip, but they land with just enough angle to feel comfortable with under stacking.

NDD: Target Phil Taylor G8

Was absolutely impossible to find in the US. Had to get them off Target's UK eBay store.

And probably the worst of the entire Taylor lineup. The grip at the rear of the barrel is all wrong for this type of dart, sticks to the fingers too much.

TOR or Triple Core? TOR Cheaper

Obsessed newbie a couple months in.

Blade6 is starting to wear, I’m looking to upgrade to symmetrical board just cuz I like the look.

TOR is ~$50 cheaper, but I look for reviews and see older ones from a year ago saying it’s shit but then more recent posts seem to approve. Straight to the point darts flamed it in his review…so what’s the latest consensus?

TLDR ; want a symmetrical board - is the TOR significantly worse than blade6 triple core? Reviews seem inconsistent

Updated from last week after comments and suggestions

I’ve attempted to change as suggested by several users, I’ve included follow through and dart location in this video. I have a cheap board and cheaper darts, I’m a rear gripper and still looking for the right dart. Any grip suggestions will be grateful.

Affordable 90% tungsten darts?

Anyone got recommendations or know some barrels or darts that are affordable and it's got 90% tungsten?

My type's around 21g-23g. Straight barrel, ring cuts. Looking for a barrel that isn't too grippy but not too smooth. Just the good balance of it. I don't want sandpapers rubbing on my fingers while throwing.

Sorry for the annoying posts lately, just a beginner here and I didn't find answers from just searching.

NDD: Red Dragon Sable 23g parallel

Very nice arrows. You’d expect to pay much more. The rear section is EXTREMELY grippy, which I was not expecting. Probably too much for me, but I’m going to play them for awhile and see if they eventually dull a little. But I’m impressed with these, even if they don’t turn out to be my go-tos.

How to completely rework your throw?

Ive been playing for 2 years ish and have started to look at my throw. Turns out im dipping my elbow a very large amount when bringing the dart back and then pushing it back upwards when throwing. I have tried to change my throw in a way that keeps my elbow still but no matter whether i keep the dart infront of my face, but keeping my elbow still means i literally hit myself in the face with the flight. Or pull it back to the side by my shoulder where i feel i have no aim or control of the dart. I am stuck either dropping my elbow or throwing what feels like without any aim or control. Has anyone else had this issue or any other fundamental mistake and completely reworked their throw? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Barrel advice

Current setup: bullhitters, some custom long ass points and kflex. I love the barrels, but im really struggling with consistency in grip. Is torpedo a logical step to try? Thanks in advance <3

Eye Glasses

Today my daughter noticed that every time I would pull my dart back, I would adjust to avoid hitting my glasses. When I finally find a set of darts, I like and I want to use would it be better to shorten the stems and the flights so I could avoid hitting the glasses when trying to pull it back to my cheekbone area.
