Which Dashcam to buy?
I am thinking of buying a dashcam for my car? Any suggestions?
WD Memory Card Advice
Has anyone used Western Digital's purple memory card for your dashcam
This is used for cctv recording so it should endure continuous overwriting but there aren't many reviews related to dashcam usage
Please share your experience with this card
( I want to use it with my 70mai A510 dashcam)
Reliable dashcam for cars front and rear
I have Kia seltos and would like to know reliable and best dashcam (front and rear). Since Amazon and Flipkart sales going on thought its better to buy now. So reaching out. TIA
Automatic emergency brake engaged for no apparent reason on Jeep Meridian, almost got rear-ended
I was driving along at a slow speed (<20kmph) when the emergency brakes got engaged automatically. Thankfully, the cab driver behind me was pretty alert and narrowly missed bumping into me.
Not sure why the brakes got engaged. I'm considering raising a query with Jeep about this. WDYT?
EDIT: To those suggesting turning off ADAS, some features don't stay off. Every time i start the car, I have to manually turn off Emergency Braking and Traffic sign assist. These don't stay off once set.
Do you think Indian drivers would accept telematics-based car insurance if it meant paying less?
Do you think Indian drivers would accept telematics-based car insurance if it meant paying less?
For those unfamiliar, Usage-Based Insurance (UBI) uses a smartphone app or telematics device to measure your driving behaviour (such as braking, acceleration, speed, and distance driven). Safer driving can lead to lower insurance premiums.
Would you be comfortable with this if it meant paying less? Why or why not?
Don't know if the cab was reversing due to missed turn but this was bad.
No right turn allowed? Not for me!
Self explanatory, yet another entitled biker who thinks he is immortal. [OC]
Suggestion for Dashcam
Seeing the recent turn of events I have planned of getting a dashcam installed in my car ( 2020 Creta) , i am not willing to spend a lot but also can spend enough and want a good thing which will show its value . I have searched a lot and many things popped up , some say Starvis is a must , some say its good to have not necessary , some say 2k resolution is minimum some say 1080p is fine . So i though why not come here where people actually use one .
My main requirements
For both front and rear recording , i dont want inside cabin recording
I would also need a good wiring kit ( which lets you run dashcam 24/7. Also while parked
I dont exclusively want a mobile app but having one would be good .
Also kindly suggest a good 128gb sd card ( is 128gb enough ? )
Thank you

BMTC just DO NOT care
Saw this BMTC bus taking a right U-turn from extreme left in the service road, holding up the traffic in the process. So annoying.
This is actually a 6 lane road where the ORR ends. BMTC must have went to the service road to avoid traffic on the main ORR.
Video taken on 29th June
Location: KR Puram, Bengaluru
Whose fault is it?
My car: baleno Opposite car: ritz
Happened 2 days ago in wayanad. Ritz guy entered our lane and broke the mirror and dented the side fender. Police also say it's the ritz fault. Having second thoughts.
The Usual Suspects
Not all guys with stupid haircuts. But always a guy with a stupid haircut.
Don't be like her
Turn indicator on, waiting patiently for the pedestrians on the right to cross before turning, letting the first car pass, yet this lady decided to cut me off???
Is watching reels while driving becoming the new drinking and driving?
Yesterday around 1 PM, I took an Uber, and the driver was constantly scrolling through Instagram reels while driving. It wasn’t just checking his phone for a secondhe was actually watching videos while the car was moving.
Honestly, it was terrifying.
After a while, I politely told him, “Bhai, thoda dhyan do.” He immediately put the phone away and seemed like a genuinely nice kid.
I don’t think he meant any harm. But what surprised me was that he didn’t seem to realize just how dangerous it was.
We’ve spent years talking about the dangers of drinking and driving, but it feels like watching reels while driving is quietly becoming just as common. A few seconds of distraction at city speeds can be enough to ruin lives.
Has anyone else noticed this happening more often? Or was I just unlucky?
Some people think they own the road
Lady driving HR 26 EG 8232 in Dwarka Expressway Tunnel on 24 June is class A moron who thinks she owns the road.
Constant blinking, honking and bringing the vehicle close to mine won't make roads magically empty.
I am in my lane, driving at 70kmph+ speed (on a road with max speed of 80kmph), maintaining a good distance from car ahead of me but this absolute idiot who is in super hurry for whatever reason want vehicles to get out of her way because they own the road?
I would have ignored because I encounter these idiots daily on Delhi roads. But she also has audacity to stare at me angrily while passing as if I am the one driving like absolute idiot.
Unless you are an ambulance, I don't have any reason to yield the lane for you. No emergency warrants this kind of reckless driving.
