Generational convergence
Saw these two casually hanging out in a parking lot
In the wild streets of Seattle
Drove behind him for a little bit, it such a vibe - Top down, headphones, drinking from a mug

SU carbs off a 240z
Idk the guidelines so pls remove instead of banning me 🥲
I figure I’d put the SU’s here if anyone was interested before I put them for sale on eBay/Facebook** **comes with the whole linkage set except the bracket on the firewall that connects to the pedal and no spacer for the carbs was thinking $500 since it’s complete
280zx seats
Just got my seats upholstered in a synthetic leather. Wanted to see what you all think.
Back From Deployment
Back from deployment.. first thing I did after spending time with the wife and kiddo was take her out to stretch her legs.. she’s a real project still.. I need weather seals, and interior… does anyone have any good recommendations?
Starters rattle or do nothing
No matter what I do, every starter I install either makes a rattling noise or does nothing. Sometimes they work. But most of the time I cannot start my Z. Does anyone have an idea of what this is? Ive been pulling my hair out trying to fix this for 3 years now. Ive replaced the starter 5 times
If you chose an engine swap, what was your reason?
I’ve got a ‘72 510 that I’m currently in the process of reviving and I’m getting to the point where I need to make a decision regarding the engine. The L16 that’s in it now runs great and has just enough power to make “spirited” driving possible. Personally, I really love the period authenticity that the L gives the car. That, alongside of the lack of EFI makes the car feel more “raw” and a different experience from driving anything modern.
However, something with a bit more power would probably be pretty awesome to drive. It wouldn’t have to be anything crazy, I feel like ~200hp would be more than enough to completely change the experience of the car. With such a “low” power goal, the options I’m presented with are practically endless. Ultimately I worry about changing the “soul” of the car too much and just making it feel like something it isn’t.
So yeah, for those of you that have swapped your Datsun, what was your reason for doing so and what did you wind up going with? Do you feel like it made the car better? Worse? What would you do differently if given the chance?
1972 240z value
Trying to figure out the value of this parts car I picked up. From what I can tell is has the following.
5 lug hubs - I'm assuming from a later model Z
Disc brakes front and rear
Steel braided lines
After market suspension - not sure of the brand but it seem like springs, struts, front control arms, and everything in the rear is aftermarket.
R200 differential if I'm correct
All the glass and trim is great shape - have the windshield as well.
1989 ford taurus sho to 280zx swap
We got the engine powered and the engine cranks by the car telling it to
Pesky Glove Box
The glove box plastic hinge often becomes brittle and cracked. Leaving you with a less than happy box.
Quick cheep fix. 50 something CHEVY glove box hinge from Amazon, a couple self tappers, and cablammo a sturdy box cover.
My little Shitbox
New to me, 67 Datsun Sunny 1000. Gonna be a massive money pit, assuming I can get it to run.
