Zombie Snatcher - the letter puck got stuck

Zombie Snatcher - the letter puck got stuck

The letter puck got stuck against this post in the auto fill dispenser unit. I think that the dome has to be removed in order to access this area, which seems to be a somewhat involved task, so to save the hassle for the techs I kept playing in the hopes that the next puck lift would help dislodge the letter puck.

Any of you who have followed along when I post about this game know that I'm not great at dropping pucks. So it's not like I'm dropping a puck every play...not even close.

I learned that the agitator (the official name in the manual for the spinning metal bar that's supposed to knock the pucks back into play) is not quite long enough to have any effect on this stuck puck.

It wasn't until the third lift that some pucks were located in a manner to help dislodge this letter puck back into play.

Was it worth the effort? Probably not for the most part, but I achieved my initial goal of not having to have our techs remove the dome. I like our tech crew, so if there's anything I can do to relieve the burden on them, I'm all for it.

Letter puck unstuck!

New Game testing at Frisco, TX store: Cube Clash

This was the last game I expected them to get when I saw it originally revealed at IAAPA. It’s honestly a really unique style of pusher and I commend LAI for trying something new! I’m not sure it will survive testing but it’s fun to play.

Basic gameplay involves dropping a dice-like cube down through one of three spinning wheels, with options such as extra cubes, tickets, or build. Hitting a blue build spot adds one layer to the cube “pyramid” on the side. After enough layers are added the build spots turn into pink “tower” wedges and hitting those slides the whole tower onto the field.

You’re trying to push all of the 6 different kinds of big cubes off the playfield, once you do so the bonus wheel starts. Landing on “bonus chance” gets you to spin the larger center wheel. Overall payouts are kind of weak and it’s not really profitable but oh well, the game is fun!

How to buy a season pass with the costco gift cards.

I am not sure of the exact process, and if it still works (i assume it will)
Tell the front desk person you want to buy a pass with a gift card. This isnt done often and some workers and managers do not know how. If they take you to a computer, tell them it will need to be done on a server tablet. If they tell you to try the kiosk tell them you need the server tablet. Once they get the server tablet, they make a new onedine table, and then the go to the hospitality app. There they can find where to buy season passes. Im not exactly sure where but its for sure in the hospitality app. Then tell them what you want, ill use 2 plats as an example. They will need your phone number for the loyalty to get the passes, and they have to check phone number, an orange button on top right that gets hidden and the enter button on the keyboard doesnt work to get them to the next page.
After this you should be ready to pay on the tablet. Give them the gift cards and they will enter it in. Once this is done you will get a text with a link to qr codes for the passes, in this case 2 qr codes. Now they go to the computer and scan 1 qr codes at a time. Do thi twice for the 2 plats and you should be good. Id ask for a sticker if they dont give you one already.

Half price at all stores and games

So I got a text and email the other day about half price Sunday through Thursday. And in the fine print, couldn’t find anything about not valid at every store. So that was the first question. Second question was wondering if it’s on all games other than VR and games suites I was wondering about that cause there’s only a few things listed in the fine print

Harpoon Lagoon - somebody left the jellyfish

I wish I could say I spotted this from across the room with the telltale alternating purple and white LEDs on the corners of the cabinet, but no, I just regularly hit up Harpoon Lagoon if I have time long enough for the screen to darken once to see if it’s my lucky day and the jellyfish appears.

This is the first time I’ve walked up to the game with the jellyfish already out waiting for someone to harpoon it. And this time, that someone was me.

500 tickets is certainly not the best jackpot for the jellyfish (I’ve seen it range from a high of 1000 to a low of, I don’t remember exactly, 200-something?) but still not bad for not having spent any time playing trying to get the jellyfish to appear.

Between the 500 jackpot, a couple of sharks and some random other fish, I ended up with 648 tickets for this swipe after all was said and done. No complaints here!

Inventory restock

Finally after 1 year or so, we managed to get 180k of tickets. Want to trade in for a switch 2 for the young ones to play at home (and stop going to D&B 😅) but every time I check at multiple locations, it’s always out (SoCal+ checking for months).

Does anyone know when they actually stock inventory or do they purposely restock low amount to prevent redemptions. I know that for the old iPad, they can just special order it but they don’t do that for the switch2.

Thanks

Are these usable and/or redeemable?

Doing some serious decluttering and found these from a long ago collection from when my kids were younger. We still go, I love collecting the Star Trek and Oz cards from the coin pusher (I have sooooo many I really should redeem). But I didn't realize I had these and they're ancient. 240 of them including the two pusher coins. Can they still be redeemed?

Birthday Party - min numbers

Planning a birthday party and we are at just 15 kids which is the max for not needing a room. What happens if a few kids who didn't RSVP show? Will they kick us out or charge extra? It's an early party (11-1) but over 15 is supposed to necessitate a private room rental (150) plus the higher food package. Which obviously id rather avoid.

Thoughts ?

Main Event arcade tour during soft opening on Long Island

Got a chance to visit yesterday during their Friends & Family preview hours. Lots of new games including stuff I haven't really seen at many D&B locations yet, including Dippin Dots Drop, Wonka Claw, Ghostbusters Wheel, and Typhoon Shockwave. (That thing is humongous.)

Grand opening is tomorrow, Monday, May 18th!
