Even from the thumbnail of his most recent video, it’s clear he’s just becoming another Rick Beato - a disgruntled musician turned YouTuber who just makes sensationalized claims about how YouTube and the Music industry is dead (which is isn’t). The old Davie504 just seems to have gone away after the “YouTube is shutting my channel down” video.

Listen, I hate false copyright claims as much as the next guy, but it’s not worth ditching your entire personality (i.e. the very thing that made you great) just to complain. I don’t need another guy who complains about trending topics like the Giacomo Turra scandal or AI. The old Davie504 brought fun and energy to the YouTube Music community. Now he’s just becoming everyone else - a sad, petty man who is fed up with the industry. I understand if he wants to be honest, but there’s a difference between mere honesty and flat out cynicism. False copyright claims does not necessarily equal Youtube terminating your channel. To even make that claim is ridiculous in my eyes.

If you wish to ridicule me, go ahead. But please don’t respond with “If you don’t like him, don’t watch him.” If you want to defend him, do better than that.

Hace años cuando Davie504 (por ahí por 2020 en la pandemia) realizó un giveaway de bajo eléctricos, yo resulté ganador de uno de ellos (tenía aproximadamente 15 años de edad) y tuve una videollamada con él e incluso me hizo elegir entre dos bajos como se ve en el video de los ganadores.
Manteníamos conversación por Skype yo preguntándole sobre cuándo podrá enviarlo y él diciéndome que no podía porque la frontera estaba cerrada y no podía hacer envío por el COVID. Él me dió la opción de darme una cantidad de dinero equivalente para comprar el mismo bajo pero que obviamente no iba a tener el bajo firmado por él. Yo acepté la opción y me pidió mi cuenta de PayPal y me mandó algo así como 100 euros, sin embargo, al momento yo me puse a buscar el bajo que gané y en realidad está en un precio de entre los 1,000 y 1,500 euros.
En su momento lo hablé cinco mis padres, y les pregunté si era prudente decirle que sabía el precio real del bajo (porque toco el bajo desde hace años e incluso estudio la licenciatura actualmente).
Y no le dije nada porque mis padres me dijeron “pues 100 euros es un buen premio” pero alguien más vivió algo así?
Que opinan? Éticamente estuve bien? (Realmente lo sigo desde hace años)
