hi so i’m not sure if this qualifies to be on topic but i’m a survivor main with about 1800 hours and i’d say my survivor games range average to low, my chases typically last a minimum of 30-40 seconds and im looking to improve to impress my boyfriend LOL. If there’s anyone who’d be willing to run customs with me and let me know how to play different that would be awesome and please let me know. I’d run customs with my friends but im high key embarrassed.

I just bought knight and i asked myself if perks like sloppy butcher also help his minions or is it just for me

So i did a blight game where i didnt even get a down until all the gens where completed bc the map spawned 50 fucking pallets and im playing blight and all these pallets have one rhing in common. Theres no fucking bump spots to outplay them the moment a surv has pallet control they camp it theres no skill in running from pallet to pallet to pallet just pre dropping the map isnt killer sided theres one map thats on the border of killer sided and its the twd map due to the 3 gen thats it. Thats all it takes for a map to be killer sided.

Pallet density got removed and now its back to how it was i kid u not all this adam did was run to 15 pallets that where all right next to eachother i cant pressure gens bc guess what all my perks are to do with hooking gens where done in 5 mins even tho i was chasing people off them this games unplayable for killer how is it supposed to be fun a swf of 2 is unbeatable and in my op? Shouldnt exist i srsly think this games gine too far in accepting swfs talking no its unfair on the killer theres no counterplay theres nothing the moment you do something anything its called out.

How are killers supposed to win when every game its the same bullshit of 50 billion pallets that all lead into one another.

I feel like everytime I queue survivor my team is actual buns and when I queue killer its like im playing against top players and 4 stacks with really annoying builds taunting me this game is going so downhill with players like this and don't even get me started on the tunneling idgaf about some "killer can play how they want" its so frustrating getting tunneled out in the first minute of a game 3 TIMES IN A ROW im sick of it.

Let me start off by saying, Hello Everyone Old and New. I want to be able to introduce myself and the other new mods who will be overseeing this subreddit. Due to recent controversy, all the old mods have left, and the last old mod gave me and four others the task with moderating this sub before he eventually left as well. 

I havent been able to fully catch up with the controversy of the last iteration of this subreddit, and honestly it doesnt matter to me, this new Mod Team are all new people who decided we would like to moderate this sub. None of us have known each other before this, but we made a group chat and constantly go over topics and new ideas for the direction we want this sub to go.

We've had multiple people come to us with complaints and overall aggression from the previous moderators' actions, and that has no reflection on us. We cannot right the wrongs many have felt, all we can do is try to steer this subreddit's ideas and directions where we feel would be best for a subreddit under the name DeadByDaylight Killers United. 

That means absolutely no attacks on a killer or their playstyle, no demeaning one another whatsoever. If someone makes a post asking what killers are bad, atleast try to give a description of why, instead of "Ghostface is bad, dont play them", try giving a reason why you feel the character is bad, i dont want anyone deterred from playing a killer so give them ways that Ghostface CAN be played, link tournaments from the DbDLeague of gameplay involving Ghostface (any killer that someone may want to try, if possible, provide gameplay from "High Level Content" if you have little to no experience but want to be helpful).

I have been a huge fan of the Horror genre, and have played DbD for 6+ years. I main Killer but play survivor, as you need a perspective of how to play against your or other killers. I want this subreddit to be dedicated to the celebration of the Killer Role, no build or killer is too toxic here, no tech should be gatekept, this is a 1v4 game, any advantage is vaulable. I will keep this post pinned until we have a more "official" welcome thread in place.

As more ideas, and the overall goal of this subreddit is realized, this post, and rules will change. I want an absolutely positive vibe here, survivor players who want to improve on killer, or just killer mains wanting to trade tech, or geniune balance changes. (NO biased opinions, play both sides, find ways your Killer is both weak and strong)

 Thank you all for your patience in this new subreddit's direction and implementation, please give the new mods the respect you would give a fellow human being, they WILL respect you no matter what, but we will not be pushed around. What’s up I just got DBD today. I want to learn killer better so any tips or info would be much appreciated. Also if anyone is on Xbox and would like to help lmk

I'm uninterested in playing Survivor, mostly because I don't find the loop of "you will get caught eventually" to be very fun. I want to chase people down, corner them, and beat them in the mindgames.

I'm no stranger to competitive games, I have multiple characters at high rank in Street Fighter 6, around the top 5~2% of players. That's not going to travel, obviously, but I think it shows the kind of attitude I have towards improvement, putting in the work, and understanding that I will need to lose a lot before I win even one game while knowing what I'm doing.

So, while the fundamentals of Street Fighter are things like playing neutral, anti airing, controlling space, and understanding advantage and disadvantage, what are the fundamentals of Dead by Daylight?

What is the knowledgebase I need to know in order to understand the mind of a Survivor, what their end goals are, what their microgoals beyond just completing all generators is, what they want to do, and how they want to stop me from doing what I want to do?

What should I be looking out for in the beginning, the middle, and the endgame? How can I know when a game is going my way, when I should pressure, or when I should back off?

What are common mistakes I may make because I'm new, and unable to recognize a particularly advantageous or disadvantageous situation?

I honestly don't know how to derive fun from this game lately. I'm not the best player, in fact I wouldn't even put myself in the "decent" category. Mediocre is accurate. I play Nemmy and just try to vibe, I run a standard build of Corrupt Intervention, Eruption, Grim Embrace and Lethal Pursuer, Marvin's Blood and Licker tongue addons. Bog standard. Every. Single. Game. Meta SWF. I played 5 games tonight before raging and turning it off, not a single kill. Flashlights, blast mines, hook sabos and BMing on every single missed whip.

And don't even get me started on the whip. We are not friends right now. Watching it land directly underneath a survivor and still not register, watching it hit a pallet while in lvl 2 and 3 and it not breaking the pallet. At first, I thought it was my internet. Several speed tests laters with no issues, I'm still missing. Sometimes it hits over objects, most of the time it doesn't. Teabagging. Missed the hook, out from the shadows comes 3 people with flashlights. So I switch to Lightborn with hopes to stem the tide. Nah next game is all toolboxes so good luck getting hooks, inb4 you're gen rushed to high hell. I swear one match I blinked and 4 gens were done.

Every chase I'm getting stuck on the tiles and survivors BM. Zombies are wandering around the corner of the map permastunned by the flashlights. I am so sick of flashlights. Sick of them. I really wish, I pray, that BHVR adds an option to turn off getting matched with SWFs, solo queue should be exactly that, SOLO.

Typing all of this doesn't even make me feel better to be honest. I'm going to crack a beer, pack my tobacco pipe and take a looooong break from this game. Thanks for reading if did. Hugs and kisses.
