Just finished the Remake for the first time.
Overall a very good game, love that the Ishimura feels very connected with the hallways between the tram stations.
I like that you don't need to worry about hording the power nodes for the guns just in case you come across a door that needs one, since locked doors need a pass key instead that you'll get as the story progresses, except the one key you need to do a side mission for.
One thing I really didn't like was the switch to using L2 and R2 for firing, and R1 for secondary fire, I made it about 3 levels using it like that before getting frustrated and remapping the controls to put it back to the old way, felt SO much better.
One thing that bothered me, I feel like in the original you had to deal with more enemies than you did in the Remake.
I hate the little creatures that come from the pregnant Necromorphs, they're a lot harder to hit than they were in the original, 90% of the time I just ended up having to tank their attacks.
Kinesis and Stasis felt MUCH weaker than in the original games, like even fully upgraded they just weren't much use, Kinesis felt too floaty with the projectiles, making them hard to aim, and in the Remake the Twitcher Necromorphs can't be slowed down with Stasis like you could in the original.
I absolutely love that Hammond doesn't go out like a bitch in the Remake, taking Necromorph Chen with him to the grave, also love that he was clearly being corrupted by the Marker as time went on.
Love that Jacob Temple at least put up a fight before his end unlike the original.

One thing that really annoys me about Isaac now having a voice, is that it's much more noticeable that whenever he comes across a survivor that's dying, he does literally nothing to help, doesn't try talking to them or anything.
Like later on in the game you could give the excuse the Marker's messing with him, but even at the start of the game, you come across a survivor at the tram station for Medical at the start of chapter 2, she's clearly still alive and talking, yet Isaac acts like she's not even there, and it's the same for all of the survivors he comes across, except the one guy who gets killed by the baby Necromorphs.
How old is Nicole supposed to be in this game, because she looks like late 40s to early 50s.
