Kojima:
“Since production is ending in 2028, this is about video games, but I grew up with physical media, so I find it really sad. Currently, I’ve been buying up a lot of Blu-rays, such as various movies, and CDs too.”
“The situation is different for games [than movies], as they are downloaded to the hard drive, that means the game data remains on your own hardware. However, if things shift to streaming in the future, that won’t be the case anymore.”
“That’s how movies work on these platforms, right? You don’t download the data, you access it directly through a subscription. And the consequence of that is that you don’t actually possess the data yourself.”
“There are companies that own these servers and let you ‘turn the tap’ for a monthly fee. However, with nations, politics and various ways of thinking, one naturally has to consider the possibility that if there is a change, the data inside will stop being distributed. And if that happens you won’t be able to watch or play the movies and games you like.”
“That is what is frightening. So, what is happening to video games in 2028, might also happen to movies. I’d like everyone to keep that in mind.”
Had a blast at Anime Expo cosplaying Deadman again!! Thanks to anyone there who said hi and took pictures with me! Keep On Keeping On!
So I was chasing the trophies and one of them requires you to give one of your items to the other walking porters for the trophy.
I held one of my carried items not delivery packages in my hand like how they offer you their items but they didnt take it so I was pressing buttons and I accidentally hit them with the briefcase and they docked me -100 likes.
I was in the middle of a long delivery so I couldnt reload the save as it would be hard to travel all over again.
I ignored it but later seeing my minus docked likes in my stats I couldnt resist to make it positive
so I tried getting their likes via building infrastructures they'd use and trade items with them and finally its +2 now.
Oh shittings, this is not good
Like I didn’t just fight my way across a BT infested nuclear crater to grab your knickknacks and then fight a dog while trying to protect your love symbol. And then carry a perfectly physically capable human being through a second thunderstorm, get dragged and deliver the burrito looking like a nurse being born in Silent Hill but somehow without a scratch. Get on my level before you speak to me NPC.
I'm currently replaying the first game from the start after a very long hiatus, so I can start the second installment and finally finish the first one. I wanted to see what the game was like in offline mode compared to online.
So far it feels very different not having many pop ups, different structures, and roads etc. During my online playthrough I felt I relied too much on others help, rather than finding my own way about things. After I finished building 80% of the roads the sense of challenge sort of dwindled a lot for me, and I was progressing really fast into the gameplay and story that I kind of got bored and never finished it.
Since I started my offline playthrough, I actually took my time and planned out routes, took in some beautiful scenery, did some actual exploration, and found out what works for me through trial and error. I must say the game feels a whole lot different and challenging. I know the theme is making connections and helping others but there's something about going through the fire and unknown alone. The sense of loneliness traveling through the world, and making your own way.
I'm curious what others experience was like offline compared to online.
What the title says tbh!
Wanted to play the original Death Stranding for a while but never managed to get around to it until a rather boring Sunday night, I’ve just finished the prologue but I’m still rather confused on all the mechanics and controls.
Will there be more to learn and understand as I go or is there any tips anyone could give me?
I am very excited to learn more about this game! Thank you in advance friends :)
Any tips for a new player? I'm only at mission number 5.
FINALLY got DS2 on steam, it's been 4+ years since I played the original. Should I do a replay?
Hi, am I allowed to ask if anyone wants to be friends who is actively playing DS2 right now?
Most of my connections and strand contracts are people who haven't logged on in a long time.
I just started replaying for the platinum, so I've been gone too, but I'm only getting a few new connection suggestions from people who are actively playing.
So I am getting new suggestions for active players, just not very many.
Is it against the rules to put my playstation ID up so people can friend me if they want to?
I'm sorry in advance if it is! Thanks for reading.
After much deliberation on contemplating on steam summer sale — was either cyberpunk or DS — i went for DS1 DIRECTOR'S CUT.
Is there a refund policy if I am not into it? 😂
So in Death Stranding 3 you won't be delivering anything, since all packages will be digital... right, Sony?
I've been lucky enough to see a few vistas like this myself it's so stunning in person!
Please for the love of god if you are going to discuss spoilers don’t make the title itself of your post a spoiler. Even if this gets deleted for inappropriate that’s fine, just needed to rant. It’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve put 60+ hours into the first couple of Episodes in DS2 and end game has been spoiled for me.
Really happy to see such a lovely rescue story!
Reminded me of one of my Favorite DOOMS survivor

Felt very fitting for today!
