New to this

Hi, i just want to know more about ciphers. Every time I look at one or try to solve one I dont know where to start and i feel kinda lost. I do research a lot, and slowly get better at this, or just recognise the ciphers, im just to new to this to be any good. Esther way, im not giving up.

Any recomendation is apreciated. Like anything you guys think one should know when starting with ciphers. Thanks!

Im Trying to solve some puzzles but im stuck

The upper text for both seems to substitute 1 to 5 for a,e,i,o,u but i cant really seem to get beyond that.

The book with the "list of locations" is labeled as 2 and the other as 1 if that even helps.

Help me solve a possible ARG / hidden puzzle

I stumbled across what might be the beginning of an ARG (or some kind of hidden puzzle) on a random French YouTube channel.

There are several timestamps throughout the video where seemingly random letters/numbers appear.
I’m not sure if they’re connected, but I’d love some help from people who are good at ciphers, cryptography, or finding hidden patterns.

Here’s what I found:

6:00 — utpjrts
14:00 — tozismmiz
16:50 — 087
17:00 — dlmltajhmjpyqvshuppu
37:00 — hgaf xgazng
50:00 — tlnvjr
56:00 — ihml stwn
Video: https://youtu.be/9rqfeM03nVM

The video is in French, but the hidden sequences themselves might not be.
I have no idea yet whether these are encrypted, encoded, generated with a cipher, or simply random. The fact that they appear at specific timestamps makes me think there might be a pattern connecting them.

Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to look into this and help!

Is this too easy?

16 10 23 19 11 17 21 16 23 4 19 10 23 4 16 16 10 23 16 14 11 12 9 5 27 14 11 9 15 3 10 5 4 16 27 4 16 26 10 5 2 8 8 5 19 17 11 21 27 14 27 4 19 15 5 16 23 4 16 27 15 17 23 25 27 24 16 15 27 8 8 17 2 27 4 16 11 16 15 14 17 11 16 27 26 27 8 16 16 5 8 27 4 16 21 11 6 10 27 26 8 17 11 4 15 11 17 21

Strange letter in the mail.

Got this random letter in the mail today. Do not know who it’s from and story does not make sense. Does anyone know what this could mean?

A challenge

I have been working on this cypher for months so I'll leave here the output , the only thing I'll say is that it uses multiple cyphering methods I call it CAPY-64 CHAOS(tm) , have fun!

My dad created a code / cipher for fun and sent it to me.

Hello, my father created this cipher in his free time and sent it to me. I've tried to figure it out but I can't, so he told me to put it online to see if anyone here can solve it. I can't really provide a transcription. If you do decide to try and solve it - good luck!

He sent it to me with the caption "I made this one for you son. I hope you like it. When you are 70 years old you can open the safe and find the answer." I dont know if the 70 could have anything to do with the cipher, but I thought it might be useful.

My friend sent me a code made entirely of emojis for the name of a sci-fi book

I’m stuck on a code for a book a friend gave me and could use fresh eyes. Here’s what I received and my best attempt at cracking it.

**What they sent:**

The 🚖🍎🐰🔒🐘🧂 Ⓜ️🍎🥬🐘🐰💤

**My best guess at the decode:** each emoji stands for the first letter of the object shown.

🚖 taxi = **T**
🍎 apple = **A**
🐰 rabbit = **R**
🔒 lock = **L**
🐘 elephant = **E**
🧂 salt = **S**

Ⓜ️ =** **M
🍎 apple = **A**
🥬 lettuce = **L**
🐘 elephant = **E**
🐰 rabbit = **R**
💤 sleep = **S**

**Other clues my friend gave me:**

\*\*•\*\*	It’s a \*\*science fiction novel\*\*
\*\*•\*\*	Title format is \*\*“The \\\[6-letter word\\\] \\\[6-letter word\\\]”\*\*
\*\*•\*\*	It’s \*\*philosophical\*\*, not pulp adventure
\*\*•\*\*	It differs by about \*\*6 letters\*\* from the string \*\*“The Tarbes Marles”\*\*

I made an indecipherable code! (Again since you solved it last time)

This time, it’s written completely with Mandarin Chinese.
if you need hints, ask me.

Anybody know how to translate this? Found it on a x page.

Not sure if this is just binary or some kind of puzzle. I just stumbled onto this page earlier. It just posted this image. I tried putting it into a translator but I'm getting nonsense. Does this mean anything to anyone?

Help decoding this?

So I'm not sure what this could be, but I want help figuring this out. Any takers? I've tried a lot of things, but I can't seem to get it.
