Ok so I bought a del sol 1993 s. Ran fine the first day then I replaced the battery and no longer starts because the fuel pump has no power. Then I reseated the ECU fuse and the pump primes but now I no longer am getting a spark or injector power?
Has anyone reinstalled the AC before? Mine was deleted when I bought it but I would love to have it.
Going to look at/buy a 1993 Del Sol Si without cruise control. No light on display for it, never had it. Cannot see if it's a D16 or D15. Car is incredibly clean with minor spots of rust under paint, repainted before this owner had it, noted as green on the carfax. It has disk brakes in the rear, as Si's should.
VIN says an Si, but worried it could have been swapped in the year before this owner had it, because there's never been cruise control, and to my knowledge all Si's came with it. Am I right to think that or just being overly cautious. Is this a deal breaker (more so if it's a D15)?
The price of the car is right, especially for a Canadian one (Automatic unfortunately, regardless), and the owner is willing to do some maintenance (battery, oil) because I have a long drive and flying (if anyone saw that that Del Sol post looking to buy last week, hi again).

so today after work i wanted to take off the top as usual but after stowing the roof in the trunk i noticed it beeped when i started driving.
I then did some testing and found, when i only unlatch the right side (passenger side), that turns on the roof unlocked warning light, but when i only unlatch the left side it doesnt come on, so am i correct in assuming the drivers side sensor has gone bad? (i know these sensors are a common issue).

Bought this 1993 del sol s as a quick flip for $750 at an estate sale. Never thought it would bring me to tears. Car was bought and transferred between the family and was maintained every 4k miles, they kept everything for the car, all the maintenance records, the dealership paperwork, where it was serviced, the del sol poster pamphlet, the viper security pamphlet, owners handbook, window sticker, alignment records. All until It had its last service in 2021 and the daughter that drove it died and then it sat for 4-5 years. It only needed a new main fuse and a fuel pump relay and it runs perfectly, I only hope that after I get this car cleaned up that it will go to someone that loves this car as much as this family did
I've recently been repairing my 93 Del Sol to get it to run again. In the past its always had weird starting issues that have disappeared and come back multiple times. In the past changing the battery and installing a new fuel pump have "fixed" these issues, but obviously they reappear.
This most recent stint of repair involved an actual mechanic installing a new fuel pump, distributor, and head gasket. After the repairs I was able to start the car and drive it home. However, at the time of driving I believe I had the P28-A02 ecu in the car (Still allowed my manual to run and drive). Once I got it home I drove it once more, and after the car could turn over but not start, the CEL light stays on but the fuel pump does not prime.
Test/fixes I've done:
I've cleaned the g101 ground wire and ground wire for the battery. I also switched out the ECU with another one. The car then started after also jumping the car, with the fuel pump seeming to prime louder than before. I then disconnected the car, was able to start it again. Afterwards the car would not start with no fuel pump prime and the CEL light staying on. I switched out the other ECUs (I have 3 ECUs, all P28s) and the car would still not start, no fuel pump prime and the CEL light staying on
I have made the fuel pump prime by jumping the either the 1-7 or 1-5 connection on the main relay (Cant remember which one)
I also voltage and current tested the battery to see if there was any parasitic draw. The battery reads 11.8V (should be 12.4V-12.6V) and there is no apparent parasitic draw as the current reads 0.
Fuse 24 and 31 have been tested with a multimeter, with both reading 0 resistance.
I also tested for spark and there is spark coming through the spark plug wires.
If there are any directions I should go in to diagnose the problem any are appreciated. These phantom no start issues are frustrating.

Alright so I had to get a parts car to fix my sol that i wrecked last month. I got the old bumper style so I could still have my aux lights and was wondering what I could potentially get for this one. The clear coat is kinda cooked but other than that it's in pretty good shape.

This is my 1994 del sol s. It has a d15b7, and I recently manual swapped it. If I go to start the car on an incline, the fuel pump won’t prime while the key is in accessory. If I roll it back down to flat ground or a decline, the fuel pump primes and the car starts right up.
I figured this out because I stalled entering my shop which has a slight incline to it (still learning manual haha) It would just crank but not start. Then I put the key in accessory and listened for the hum of the fuel pump and sure enough it didn’t. I rolled it down to flat ground and it started right up. I’m thinking it may be the fuel pump going bad but it could be something else ofc. Any ideas?

Hey y'all my sensor went bad and my mechanic said I need a new one. Right now the check engine light is on, my speedometer doesn't work and neither does my cruise control. Anyone selling a sensor or knows where I can get one. My mechanic and I checked some junk yards but nothing yet. He also said some new ones run for about 200$.

(and yes, i know the del sol was called the CR-X in some markets, please don't get all pedantic on me lol)
