I’ve loved dermot since 2017, and without fear will always be incredibly special to me - I was so gutted to miss out on a promised return tour.

Wondering if it’s just for me the main tour and new album just isn’t hitting like his stuff used to. The lyrics feel much mess deep, and to me it’s moved into pure pop whereas his point of difference used to be the hip hop inspiration you could feel coming through the lyrics, the story telling and the rawness.

No shade intended, I get that people evolve, but I think I’m just mourning the old stuff! Anyone else?

Last night I saw Dermot Kennedy for the first time live in Hamburg and I genuinely think it was one of the most emotional concert experiences I’ve ever had. I was bawling my eyes out during almost every song 😭

I really love his new album, but his live performance is truly something else. He sounds even more raw and emotional live and there is something so human and grounded about him on the stage.

Now I’m seriously considering going to Ireland for one of his concerts because I can only imagine how emotional the atmosphere must be there. Has anyone here seen him live in Ireland before?

How is Often Lately missing from the setlist? Attended CPH tonight and hoped until the end. 😭 I mean yes it was part of A Promised Return but I feel like it’s one of the best received most loved songs from the new record and tbh it kinda ruined my night that it wasn’t played.

Would also like to hear some thoughts on the new band and sound tonight? From my point of view it lacked warmth and depth, very cold and metallic somehow? Like a pinch rather than a hug if that makes sense. Been to his gigs since 2018 and this was disappointing, hope that maybe it settles a bit during the tour. Will see them again in Hamburg. ❤️

I made an order of some merch back in April on the Canadian site. It said it would ship April 7th and I haven’t heard anything or received anything. Has anyone else had this issue?
