There was a reason why Pam brought up being indian to the twins

The twins have being denying being indian and even desi for some many years online.

Laila used to get so offended if people asked she was indian. They only came clean when people caught their lies.

Their basically 80 indian/Pakistan and 20% Persian.

They only recently started claiming their indian heritage to get on this show. I guess duabi bling didn't want them.

Teja is very ill spoken, loud and boisterous. She likes to dabble in everyone’s business and spread whatever she’s heard then cries when Iryna doesn’t trust her. It’s absolutely none of her business to go around telling Lailli and Alizey.

I think she’s trying to have this “clap back energy” like Safa and stir the pot LOL but miserably failing at displaying any sort of “aura” or whatever. She tries to be bubbly but it just seems extremely pretentious. Probably trying to end up as a gif people use with all those expressions she does.

Also I don’t think she’s rich enough to be in the circle. I sound super mean right now I know but she just looks like the odd one out in their circle and it shows.

The other ladies also are very much gossip queens and surrounded by drama, but Teja lacks the class and sophistication that they naturally display.

Not a fan of Karan either. He has no spine and can’t think for himself. Worships the more successful men and now seems less interested in Teja because he’s around cool, hot, rich people in Dubai. I think he’s dreaming big then eventually will dump Teja for someone in Dubai.

The twins keep saying their so young compared to the others. But they themselves are 30 so how old are the others??

she just doesnt want to lose her lifestyle. towards the end of the show she speaks about how "having a second child will make him focus on me and not party" LOL

Every one of these people is infuriating

- Karan invites Binda and Pamela to his engagement like 3 second after Binda just told him that she doesn’t think he should marry Tej - fucking crazy to invite these people to your engagement when they hate your fucking wife-to-be?! He’s such a bootlicker.

- Dyuti is a dusty clown. His cane in his confessionals. Telling his wife and mother of his kids that she’s only good for sex. Blames his wife for her post-partum, lies about his whereabouts and gaslights her. Misogynistic asshole.

- Satish makes my skin crawl. That’s it.

- Binda is a two-faced evil crone. Her meanly laughing at the video of Pamela’s birthday and then getting mad at Pam when she hears Pam is upset about it. You think having another baby will solve your marriage?! You hate your stepchildren?!

I will say Pam’s birthday feathers catching on fire was actually incredible lol.

I don’t know why I watched this show but I hate that I did. The twins are the only positive.

I think Satish is gay. Now I know it’s wrong to assume someone’s sexuality. But hear me out.
That man is a diva, he was blushing around Tiger Shroff and had his pics on his phone.

Also, Tabinda is always jumping at every opportunity to say that her man is around “girls” cause I think there’s some speculation that already exists around his sexuality.
Now, I feel like that’s the only reason his wife is ok with him being seen with multiple women because that reaffirms his “straight” image. But if he’s with the same woman then it looks like she’s replaceable by some other specific woman. So he’s with women enough to be called straight but not to a point where it’s the same woman that makes her (Tabinda) look like an idiot.

I think she has a lot of dirt on him which is why he keeps her around and gives her a lot of materialistic things so she can look good in society and keep her mouth shut about his doings.

Just my take. I could 100% be wrong. But seeing how image conscious she is I just don’t think she would out him like that as a cheater in episode 1 for no good reason. He’s her source of income. So she’s got to be smart.

Her AUDACITY.

I'm on episode 5, and I swear to god I'm a pretty peaceful person, but I want to punch some compassion and empathy into her.

Not only is she a doormat, trophy wife who smiles and cheers at her husband cheating on her (literally what Teja said about her, a cheerleader) but she's also a homewrecker (that man was in a damn relationship AND getting divorced) who proudly dislikes her step-kids from the first marriage?

I know most of this is scripted, but I the facial expressions on her face when talking about anything from his first marriage can't be faked.

Just my theory

My god. I don't even know what the point of writing this post is, but that's how much this man has enraged me. Truly, enraged me.

The list of things I could say about him, is so long, but I'll say a few things to allow myself a little venting session.

First of all, this man, who clearly thinks the world of himself, has no respect for the mother of his children. I'm only 3 episodes in, and he literally uses his money against her. For him to demand that she stay at home and look after his kids, while not doing the same, is so blatantly insane to me.

He's making jokes about how controlling his wife is, which, in and of itself is so demeaning. My partner and I are a team, we have each other's backs. You won't ever see me going around whispering about him behind his back, making fun of him with my friends. It's demeaning. Fucking period.

He gaslights her, speaks over her, and actually just throws divorce papers at her, gives her an ultimatum, either go to a doctor or get divorced. Like????

You're literally out here hanging out in broad daylight, on a yacht, with other men. You've left your wife alone at home, and you're a literal MILLIONAIRE. What would it cost you to allow your wife the same freedom you keep saying she doesn't give you?

Does it take that much?

He throws this larger than life party for his father, but doesn't invite his own mother to it? Like? You're barely at home, you barely even speak to your mother, who is clearly uncomfortable on camera, and then you sit down with your mom, almost conspiring against your own wife, take your mom's word for it, don't even try and allow your wife to speak to you... And then you demand that she takes psychiatric help or you'll leave her?

So her only option, after years of being with you, when you admittedly said you had no money, have resulted in... Nothing. A marriage where she can't expect her husband's loyalty, attention or even understanding. She needs to, as multiple people on the show have verbatim asked her to, "Let him be". So just let him flirt around and dance around with women on yachts. You shut up, stay at home, take care of the kids. Why? Because I'm a millionaire and I paid for this pathetic, awful, miserable life of yours.

WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK.

He reminds me so so much of my ex. The same non chalance and the same lack of care. It's just insane to me that he truly, in his heart, doesn't give a single fuck about the mother of his own children. What's most infuriating, is this facade he creates, of being an invested father. You can see how uncomfortable he is when the camera points to him with his kids. You can see that he likes them when they're around him in small doses. As soon as the tension shifts slightly, he pretends to be the netter parent and asks his kids to leave. Then proceeds to mistreat the mother of these very same kids.

His fucking mom dude. What the fuck? I'm a native bengali speaker, And I can tell you for a fact, subtitles do not do justice to the level of venom she spewed. To sob and cry over the fact that your daughter in law isn't spending enough time with her kids... Is... Idek how to process that. Guess I'm just shocked that she doesn't cry over how cold her son is, to his wife, and to his kids. He's out "working", but somehow has enough time to go to clubs and yacht parties, that too (as I mentioned before), in broad fucking daylight.

You literally lie to your wife, then act offended when she confronts you for the same. You don't give a single fuck. For him to go behind her back and air his dirty laundry like that... To say that they only got married because his wife got pregnant... Wow.

He doesn't even care about how that would make her feel. He doesn't care that he's saying these things about his wife, and they're going to be aired on Netflix. A platform where thousands of people are going to watch him see these things.

like..??? I keep seeing EVERYONEE and their grandmother talk about how teju is unbearable and hasn’t grown and maybe this makes me look bad by proxy…but she seems the most regulated?? Like everything she has called out has been fair and maybe even NEEDED to be said. She seems to be the only one who can see some of the crap being pulled and the fact that she isn’t trusted is ASTOUNDING to me. Maybe it’s scripted??? Also I keep reading about her “shut up x10” but like #valleygirls? Why is that the hill people will die on with determining an opinion…ANYWAYS

She seems like she is always attacked for her simply calling out the truth??? And her BF won’t back her? But the men…I’m not even gonna waste my time analyzing them past that they’re all cowards and pathetic.

So, I fully watched the show and there is something I can’t fully understand.. Do Indians (referencing Dyuti’s mother) actually think that divorcing a woman and possibly taking her kids away from her or from their father suddenly makes the woman a better mother? I am sorry, but I can’t really understand the logic behind what the grandmother said. I understand that perhaps the mother is lacking for whichever reason but how on earth does divorce make someone a better parent?
Genuinely asking because I simply don’t understand. Thank you!

The makers knew they didn't stand a chance of making a wholesome show. As a result, everything they have done is to evoke a reaction.

Casting a criminal as one of the prime characters, misogynistic men with 8th century mindset, women clinging on to their marriage in despair despite unpardonable actions from their husbands like it is 1620, loud uncouth Big Boss characters brought in for stirring shit up, over the top evil stepmom pettiness and cheap rich people acting like they own Dubai.

Do not react to this garbage, it is not representational of men and women of the Indian diaspora. After all, one doesn't watch Love Island and think that is how everyone in the UK/US is.

I initially liked Sana and thought she is the sane one , but suddenly she is stirring things up. Is no one confronting her cause she is from Sajan Family?

Part of the enjoyment of Dubai Bling is that most of the drama is between friends but husband and wife defend eachother. Most of the drama in Desi Bling is between husband and wife and no one has loyalty.

I’m actually disgusted that this is the representation that’s being shown out there in the world. The men do not seem to respect their wives in the slightest and the wives don’t respect themselves.

Dyuti is actively gaslighting his wife while he stays out past 6am and she can’t even divorce him because she won’t get 50/50 as he’s put everything in his Mom’s name. Binda is excusing her husband as long as he parties with “different girls every weekend.” The rest of them are just embarrassing (other than the twins).

It’s frustrating for me as diaspora because we have to deal with so much anti-Indian racism on a daily basis in public and here we have our own men disrespecting our women proudly and our own women disrespecting themselves.

I’m assuming that because this show is produced by non-Desi’s there have been biases that allowed such negative edits (I’m sure we all notice how Farhana is treated vs the rest of the Dubai Bling cast) but it’s still frustrating to me because people are already so hateful towards us…what do you think?

I actually liked Pam by the end of show. Her behavior is not always classy but I feel like was the only few people who wasnt two faced in the show

The twins are definitely shady lol and Anncy's posting laughing emoji on her story makes me think Pam might be right about the twins

Also Pam was right to ask the twins about them being indian. Those twins spent years on the internet pretending they weren't indian/Pakistani. They only confess after getting caught. I pretty sure only their great great grandad was from iran. The rest of their family is indian or Pakistani.
