These are my initial impressions of these fragrances.

Creed Royal Oud: By far my favourite from all the ones I picked up today. It is such a good interpretation of oud, granted it doesn’t have a lot of oud but it is something I imagine wearing when I want myself to smell like the centre of attention. Woody smokey and refined.

Byredo Bal D’afrique Absolu: Fresh opening with a woody base. Very clean yet complex fragrence. Wanted to know what the hype was about and I deserves all of it.

Byredo Mojave Ghost Absolu: This one is a bit richer and warmer than Bal D’afrique to me. Fruiter in the opening but quite musky with a hint of amber.

Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Moss: Doesn’t last a very long time but boy does it smell good. Haven’t smelled anything quite like this before. Such a good summer beach fragrance. Salty fresh and very refreshing.

Replica Jazz Club: A bit boozy warm and kinda fresh in the opening. Was a steal for the price.

Penhaligon’s Halfeti: Opens quite puchy but has a quite complex woody base. Got a good deal on the combo with the body wash so got both.

Atelier Lune Feline: Have been in love with vanilla fragrances and this one is a rich spicy vanilla. Would be great as a signature winter scent.

Nishane Wulong Cha: This is what I wanted Imagination to be. A tea fragrance with character. Opens citrusy but the tea note is quite prominent and I felt it has a bit more umph to it than imagination.

MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait: Asked my friend who I was with what how smells and he said “RICH” so I would leave it at that.

Swiss Arabian Opulence of Dubai: Rich Spicy and Warm of the start. Smells like an infusion between a spice market and a chocolate factory.

Swiss Arabian Vanilla 01: A soft vanilla fragrance which one its own is good (a bit feminine leaning imo) but would be good for layering.

Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Nectar Blush: Quite floral and fruity but polished. Smells quite clean and definitely Feminine leaning.

Mykonos Reflection: LV Symphony dupe, got this for the gym.

Naxos is one of those perfumes that ive always had in my to-buy list, but i've been delaying it every time because i already have too many sweet vanilla, honey fragrances like Qaian, Kamrah, SWY, etc.

Got this finally and I just hate myself for waiting so long to get this.

Sprayed it just 3 times in the morning and I can't stop smelling my arms even after 8 nours.

It's a luxurious and rich blend of honey, vanilla and tonka beans, with a very light hint of tobacco.

To this day, I've not smelt a better drydown on any perfume ever. It keeps transforming into something beautitul and it keeps projecting like a luxurious body lotion.
I honestly feel this is a fragrance that can't be duped accurately just because of the quality of ingredients used.

What an absolute capital M Masterpiece.

I’ll put down the reviews of my favorites from the collection:

1. ⁠Burberry London- this is my mom’s signature perfume and I just stole a bottle from her. I thankfully have the bottle from before it was reformulated and it just smells heavenly and the projection and longevity is insane. Picture this, my mom used to drop me off to my boarding school and she would hug me and i would not give my shirt for laundry for atleast 2-3 days since I missed her and the smell would still be present.
2. ⁠LVEB- a classic, been my signature scent for quite some time now, you can never go wrong with this, it will always get you compliments. It’s a floral scent with a cashmere base to me.
3. ⁠Elie Saab Girl of Now- a nutty almond and tonka bean scent that does not smell gourmandish or sweet! Longevity is again insane on this one, amazing.
4. ⁠Salvatore Ferragamo Ribelle- a beautiful floral fruity fragrance that smells just like the bottle looks, again is a true compliment getter, safe for blind buy too.
5. Burberry Body- pure floral, very pleasant, satisfactory lasting power.
6. Chopard Brilliant Wish- beautiful white florals, lasting power isn’t great but bottle is worth it haha.

Now for the ones I don’t like- DKNY Be delicious- just yuck, smells like cheap artificial fruit deodorant, only here cause of the bottle. Chloe Lumineuse was too powdery and cloying for me, I forever regret not going with the original rose variant, Juicy Couture Gold is just….there? If you like Eclaire from Lattafa you’ll like this but I’m not a fan of that so.

This might be the 67th review for Ombre Leather on this subreddit but here comes another one.

Notes:

First spray starts off with cardamom as the photorealistic leather starts creeping in with every passing second. I can best describe the opening as a dance of cardamom and leather.

In the middle jasmine comes in intertwined with the leather. This is the part which lasts the longest and is most memorable to you and other people.

At the very later stages of dry down I can smell amber, jasmine and even later maybe patchouli. 

The transitions are very smooth and not noticeable. But for the most part it is a Leather-Jasmine scent.

The Leather:

Now if you ask me what kind of leather it is, it depends on your past experiences with leather. Certainly newly tanned leather. Like a leather shoe store or a box of fresh leather derbies. Not like leather sneakers or small leather goods. I haven’t smelled new leather couch or car seats yet.

But the leather scent is never alone on its own, always accompanied by the sweetness of cardamom or jasmine. The cardamom-leather segment smells like when I left my leather phone case in a humid place for a few months. The jasmine-leather segment is a heavenly creation.

Judging it just by the description would put off anybody looking to smell good after spending this much money. And if you have not smelled any good leather perfumes, this will be a strange smell on the first spray, no matter what your preconceptions are. I was kind of indifferent after having high expectations from all the hype. But trust me it will grow on you as you start wearing it multiple times. It is an acquired taste like coffee and other things. It will be unlike any other scent in your collection and out in the world what you commonly smell. 

Performance and Usability:

I gave it a full wearing a week ago at a convention in Delhi. 3 sprays around the neck and 2 on the jacket shoulders. I would say it stays around actively easily past 6 hours, lingers for around 10 hours even after change of clothes, out and about at night. Today I held the ID lanyard I was wearing that day, I could still smell the scent.

I wouldn’t call it the most versatile fragrance as it is a heavier leather scent, it will match the mood with darker-colored, layered clothes like a suit, jacket, heavier sweaters etc. Or it can be your signature scent if you are perpetually wear a leather jacket like the Roy character from Ted Lasso.

Ideal User:

You should sample it if you are looking for a winter fragrance different from bubblegum, vanilla or amber DNA. But people below age 30 I would advise to be cautious. There is a reason this doesn’t appear on the listicle videos anymore as the younger boys and girls like sweeter scents now. This is an ideal winter scent for special occasions only so a smaller vial or bottle would go a long way.

Absolutely hate hawas and wisal layb, bought them during my beginning stages of buying perfumes. Looking to add a freshie(vibrato).

1. Santal royal

This is the most complex perfume i have ever smelled the opening is loud almost animalic then rose comes in and the dry down is just beautiful sandalwood like those you get in temples but more higher quality. Performance is insane for the first 2 to 3 hours by that time user will not smell it but another person can smell that beautiful drydown i mentioned.10/10

2.Orpheon

This is very powdery, you get juniper jasmine cedar and the dry down is powdery woody smell but on the air it has some kind of watery fuzzy smell which i love you can smell it when a person passes by, the person wearing it wont smell it and will think the sillage is poor, i almost thought mine was fake until another person wore it and i could still smell it 4 to 6 hours later. That watery smell is divine and i think thats the juniper, this alone makes it a gorgeous scent. Longevity is very good but sillage may feel to be weak. 9/10

The others are widely popular perfumes so giving a review here would be redundant. Riffaqat is said to be a clone of baby cat and ots performance is really good but not my type of perfume, kenzo is aquired taste its dry down is very marine and i like it but i am not getting that insane projection the reviews were talking about. Hawas ice smells like rotten banana and bdc would've been my signature scent only if projected more.

This hobby is addictive

Before jumping into the reviews, a quick disclaimer:

All of these are 6ML attar oils, and I picked them up during 50% off Republic Day sale so keep that in mind when I talk about value.

These are not ranked in any order, and honestly, I wouldn’t be able to rank them anyway. I enjoy all of them and wear them depending on my mood.

I’m not new to attars, and I understand that projection and performance depend heavily on application. With attars, a bit of over-application usually does the trick.

A friend of mine tried some of these in perfume form and wasn’t happy with the performance, but I’ve also heard from a Redditor that these can improve significantly with long maturation.

I haven’t had much experience wearing winter attars yet, but I’ll still share whatever insights I can.

Also, I haven’t smelled most of the original fragrances these are inspired by. Part of the reason I bought these was to build a reference library, so I can confidently blind buy the OGs in the future.

One interesting thing I’ve noticed is many of the summer attars seem to share a similar base. Not sure if it’s due to common ingredients or a shared note profile, but it’s definitely there.

Never smelled the OG.
A friend of mine liked this attar so much he said he will buy 4 for using and for gifting. Now I get why this is their bestseller.
Fresh, citrusy, slightly metallic grapefruit vibe. Clean and uplifting, great for daytime. Smells expensive, Great performance.

Roja Elysium Pour Homme
Bright, airy citrus with a smooth woody base. Very classy and easy to wear one of those “you smell good” without trying too hard scents. Somehow smells very close to Tygar. Again never smelled the OG.

Paradise Garden Le Beau

Not smelled the OG but liked how my decant of Khadlaj Island smelled so bought this as a replacement.
Sweet, tropical, coconut freshness. Sometimes I can smell the base sweetness/powderiness on shirt even after a wash and it is nice. Only sweet fragrance I will not get bored of any time soon. Some people say this smells like vomit for some reason and now I am able to smell it too but only when there is too much heat and it starts to feel cloying.

Montale Arabians Tonka
Never Smelled OG but first one that my wife approved from the winter lot.
Sweet, spicy, slightly smoky with a strong tonka/oud feel. Not worn this one in public but something tells me it will be a hit with its sweet chocolaty-oud smell.
Will be using heavily in winters.

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Not smelled the OG but liked how my decant of MA Tobacco Touch smelled (got a compliment on that)
Bought for winter ofcourse and has gotten very little testing.
Warm, spicy tobacco wrapped in sweet vanilla. Cozy and rich, perfect for evenings or cooler weather. Smells like confidence and money. Prefer this over Mancera Red Tobacco Intense.

Tom Ford Ombre Leather
Have a decant of the OG and have reviewed that before
Was in the market for a clone to replace the decant when I decided to get this one, Will say quite impressed by projection from day one.
Dry, bold leather with a slightly smoky edge. Not for everyone, but if you like leather scents, this hits hard.

Louis Vuitton Imagination
Not smelled the OG but have used the decant of Aqua Dubai
Smells same as Aqua Dubai, Nice projection, great performance.
Once someone asked me is that you who is smelling good and I asked does it smell like a soap and he said yes, so I can confirm this is a nice one to have.
Fresh, citrusy, slightly soapy-clean. Very versatile and refined easy summer wear.

Xerjoff Erba Pura
Tried the OG at a duty free when I was trying Naxos and liked Erba Pura very much. Not able to afford the OG had me searching clones and gave this one a try
Fruity, sweet, almost candy/jelly like with a musky base. It reminds me of the hard boiled candies like Poppins. Loud and long-lasting can be addictive or too much depending on taste.

Versace Dylan Blue
Again tried at duty free when I was trying out Eros and liked this one much better.
Classic blue fragrance—fresh, slightly spicy, a bit shower-gel vibe turns little musky at dry down. Safe, versatile, works almost anywhere.

Creed Centaurus
Had asked for AAM Bin Shaikh but that one was out of stock so was given this one as a replacement(seller recommendation)
So, I have no reference point for this one at all. I will try to describe what I smell in this.
Rich, oriental, slightly sweet-spicy with a regal feel. Smells traditional but luxurious—leans festive and traditional.
