Question regarding refunds

Hello, we were originally scheduled to travel earlier this year to RM and had to cancel due to various reasons. Paid the penalty as per the rules and was told refund would come in 30 days. It is now close to 120 days and still no refund. Spoke to them few times and every time they say it will be processed soon. What the heck is this - thousands of dollars stuck with them and no clarity when we will receive this.

Has anyone else experienced this? What has been your experience with refunds. We have been few times, this is our first cancellation and experience has been frustrating to say the least.

Lifestyle and non-lifestyle at Pearl and RM

There have been a few posts (on diff social sites) that have got me thinking about this particular topic.

The topic: who should be going to Pearl and RM (Riviera Maya Desire) and what you should be doing whilst there.

There seems to be two main groups in this discussion. Group one believes that RM has changed for the worse and is no longer what it used to be/worth going. The sense is that the people ruining this vibe are non- lifestylers, couples who dont swap, younger couples, newbies, vanilla couples, influencer attention seeking types and ppl wearing clothes. And these said groups are using the lifestylers/ swappers as "free porn". Moreover, if you wear clothes you are "noticed" in a negative way. The consensus is that you should essentially only go to these places if your experienced, ready to swap, full nudity and on the older side. However, some younger couples have agreed with this opinion as well. Common phrases used were "all show, no blow","you don't swap, you ain't shit","We wouldn't want to play with a younger couple anyways" .

The opposing groups opinion is on the side of the resort is considered "clothing optional". The resorts are not advertised as swinger resorts, it has just evolved into that over the years. Everyone is paying a high price to be there and can make of it as they please and should not be made to feel unwelcome because they choose to not participate in something. Some ppl said they are in the LS but don't swap. There are a plethora of different dynamics in the lifestyle, not just swap. Some people are simply nudists and don't want to "play". Some claim the silver generation are just mad that the newer, younger attendees don't want to associate/ screw.

The reason I find this so interesting is because on the surface both groups will say "everyone is so welcoming, there is no pressure, do your own thing at your own pace, have fun, have some drinks, get naked, be free, mingle, relax ". While simultaneously your being judged by everyone around you for what you are or aren't doing. You just don't know until you read about it online lol. Thoughts ?!
