my partner (m61) and i (f30) are going to desire pearl for the first time in june. we get lots of judgement when we’re out together and usually struggle to find a place that has friends our age. are there other age gap couples usually? what is the age range generally like?
Around the beach, if you wear footwear do you prefer sandals or water shoes? With the sargassum probably not going barefoot, ive not seen a good picture of pristine sand.
Going to Pearl later this month. We hate beds that are too soft, same for pillows too. Can anyone who has been comment on the firmness? We would like to be able to request firm pillows and bed if possible.
We’re staying at Pearl 5/21-5/25. Checking if any ideal groups on FetLife, Reddit, or elsewhere to look for others to be in touch with before arrival to break ice, etc.?
Someone suggested i ask this. We are arriving in the afternoon later this month. Would be nice to get a table at one of the restaurants that evening. Does anyone know if you can reserve one ahead before arrival?
We (51M/45F) see tons of "which is better" posts that are all subjectively based on someone's personal experience.
We have been to RM three times and experienced the before and after Eden expansion (we loved the before better), we have been to Temptation (hated it) and we have even been to the failed Miches resort...which we actually really enjoyed.
But since we have been to RM it has started to become very 'same' to me so we needed a change. Not to mention the prices at RM are getting stupid. So we have made the switch for this next trip in October to Pearl. We know the prevailing thought is that RM is more party and Desire is more chill, but in reading many posts from many sources, the question for me has become this:
Is there a shift going on?
I am seeing lots of RM vets who say that RM has become another Temptation (and I agree...hence why we spend most of our RM time at the old pool). I am also seeing posts of people suggesting that Pearl is becoming more like what the old RM used to be. Anyone else seeing/feeling this?
So it isn't about which is better/worse than the other...but more about whether things are changing? If so, I am starting to look forward to Pearl...
