With yesterdays news i wanted to look back on the great times i had with this game. I spent some time a few years back trying to capture the beauty this world had to offer us and i wanted to share some of those with the community.

I’m in pieces man. This was my favourite game by far. Met some amazing friends through this game that I met up with IRL even though they live on the other side of the world. I’ll never forget the feeling of beating a day 1 raid and the joy I experienced sherpa’ing people in raids is something that I will miss so much.

For everyone who loves the Destiny universe as much as I do: the shutdown of the service honestly hit me hard. But it is what it is now.
To get straight to the point of this post: I think we need to show both Bungie and Sony how valuable Destiny still is. We should all log in as often as possible and push the player numbers as high as we can. I honestly think that would be more effective than petitions or endless complaining on social media.
Please share this post with everyone you know who would join in… or force them to… 🤣
Post it on other platforms too — Reddit, X, Discord, TikTok, YouTube, wherever Destiny players still are. The more people see this, the bigger the impact could be.
Maybe this post will even reach some of the streamers out there. You all have way more reach than we do, and right now the community needs every voice it can get.
Now for my own thoughts and some discussion points for a future Destiny game. And thank you if you made it this far.
What I would personally love is a Destiny 3 — or whatever they decide to call it — that is easier to maintain technically and where fixing one bug doesn’t create three new ones.
I also think this whole “fear of missing out” approach is the wrong direction. FOMO in general just feels unhealthy for games like this.
I would absolutely pay for extra vault space if I needed it. And when it comes to cosmetics, I think it would be great if players could also farm them directly in-game. That way impatient players can still spend money, while patient players always have something to grind for and a reason to stay active.
In general, fun should come first. It was always amazing how quickly patches appeared whenever a bug benefited players 😅
I also think it’s a bit sad that so many features players wanted for years are only being added now, when Destiny 2 is basically being buried. SRL for example… why only now?
And about transmog: especially for a friend of mine, I’d love a system where you could make one exotic piece look like another exotic. For example: I’m wearing exotic boots, but I love the look of a certain exotic helmet? No problem. Or honestly… let us turn everything into exotics visually. XD
Sure, maybe that would be overkill, but if it looks cool… why not?
What did you expect
This is an alt, because i know ya'll won't agree.
The past SEVERAL years you've all been screaming "we need D3, D2 needs to shut down" you've been saying "dead game, shut it down already" you've been PRAYING for the downfall of this game in the subreddits and twitter for YEARS. You mock and make fun of people who still enjoy the game, you spend more time browsing Destiny subreddits and steam charts than you ever play on other games because of the thrill watching a game slowly dwindle and die.
And now you people have the audacity to post here
All your "such amazing memories gone, D2 will be missed" "im so sad the game is over"
Its tiresome, you don't get to pop in here and flip the script now. You dont get to weasel your way in here and pretend just last week you weren't preaching steam charts about how happy you were to see the player count under 10k.
You don't deserve to reminisce or grieve a game you actively prayed for its downfall. Bungie may have stabbed destiny 2 in the neck, but you laughed at it bleeding out in the floor, why are you sad its dead?
I’m so sad I’ve only been playing destiny 2 like consistently for about 6 months but genuinely I love it so much and I’m so sad it’s ending HOPEFULLY we get destiny 3 in he next few years(even though it’s far fetched especially with the whole Sony situation)

My first time posting but I got nowhere to pass the request to the devs, I think it’s a fitting change to allow Random rolled armor and weapons to be acquired from the collections tab with a fixed roll, there’s no point in still locking them with the game ending support after june 9th, and I need everyone support for this to reach the devs and the community managers, please for this one last request, make it happen.
After seeing the post today I'm curious about the update. What would be perfect would be to dig up all the old content and have a complete game, I saw a post upset about the cut content maybe this could be a means of bungie making up for that but I doubt that's what the update will be.
I left the game not long after edge of fate, the story I enjoyed but the content was just lacking. I've heard talk about destiny 3 since back then and there's a clear vaccum left that a sequel could fill but I'd want a complete retelling of everything from D1 and D2 up to final shape but done properly as one game.
Cut the filler, all those shitty little weekly missions from seasonal content, and use the actual content that was drip fed as building blocks, compile the actual story mission from across those 3 seasons of any given year into 1 chapter or whatever they wanna call it and release D1 & D2 as D3 and build from there with a fourth game.
Maybe I'm just stoned but I'd probably buy this if it was done right because the story and gameplay, when it was done right, is massive missed potential and I would hate for red war and all that other lost content to really be lost media, a polished up version of the first 10 years (a real legacy collection) wouldn't go a miss.
