r/DevilMayCry
I recently read the DMC novel and made this drawing of one of the scenes from the novel.
DMC5 music is fine but not a favorite (I miss the industrial sound from the older games)
I don’t know why but I love the semi-muffled voice effects that DMC has on songs like Devils Never Cry (the original version from DMC3), Taste The Blood or The Time Has Come. Does anyone else miss that kind of music style they had whenever you replay DMC5 for the umpteenth time? I guess it just scratches an oddly specific itch in my music lover brain if that makes sense
The music in DMC5 doesn’t really hit the same for me and I’m wondering if this could be why (asides from Bury The Light but that song motivates anyone within a 5 mile radius)
It's May 21, already?!
Game: "Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones"
Sparda render from Devil May Cry Wiki.
Kid Dante makes Kid Lady mad (Fan Art by super-jump)
Mary "Lady" Arkham: "But why?! He just tried to pull some crap on me!"
Dante: "I’m just gonna ask this in the most respectful way possible: Why do some girls look more cute when they’re angry?"
Just flaunting a little bit since i took no damage against this boss for the first time :)
DMC5 is awesome, it's my first time playing against this boss with vergil in bloody palace and i got the no damage taken bonus hahaha. Also been thinking about picking up dmc4se as well(played this one during my teenage days). what do you devil hunters think??
Im new. Yall can laugh at me bc i cant even get past this tutorial and Dante is already irritating me with the clapping as if im a dog LMAO
So im new (i started with dm4 bc nero is too cool) and i got all the dmc games with their dlcs bc im heavily invested now. I learned about the lore on youtube so im not completely clueless about who is who.
HOWEVER the gameplay is a bit of a problem atm. Guys.... what the hell is this haha im having so much fun but Im wondering if this is a canon event for new players or just me?
I did the high roll ONCE succesfully but idek. How did the combo work? No clue. That was 15min ago. Still didnt get it and Dante is still mocking me. Im still running around like a headless chicken lol
Idk why but this is the funniest thing ever i love it. A skill issue that i cant even get mad at
Say what ever you want, DmC did something Vergil severely need: his own campaign
But ngl the story sucks ass (Dante making out with Kat is so effing cringe) and the gameplay is an inferior version of Dante because it doesn't have enough variety in a game that already have less of it compared to the original series.
But goddamn I can not help but feel weirded af when I redo the stages that meant for original Dante's (and later Nero and V) story but now with Vergil which makes him blatantly out of places.
Probably DMC never sold well enough to warrant high budget DLC. Still, shame..
edit: and maybe have vergil to wield something other than Beowulf and Force Edge.
Could Dante also split himself into 2 people?
Do you guys think Dante could theoretically do the same thing?
Like, if he separated his human and demon halves, what do you think each side even look/act like?
Would his demon side be as insane as Urizen, or would it be different because Dante actually embraces both sides of himself way more than Vergil ever did?
What would Dante’s “V” equivalent even be like personality-wise? Still joking around, or completely different?
I’m curious because Vergil’s split felt tied to his rejection of humanity, while Dante’s whole character is kinda the opposite.
Starting the DMC series, honestly having a good time
So I've just started playing DMC. Been wanting to play the series for a while, and due to the recent sale I was able to buy DMC 1-5 (Not DmC, not sure if I'll get it tbh).
I'm having a great time playing through DMC1 rn, love the vibes, definitely RE vibes (I know that it was originally supposed to be RE4 before becoming it's own thing). The controls are kinda iffy, but overall this game doesn't feel that hard.
HOWEVER, I had just finished Mission 17 and DEAR GOD that mission was hard. Like difficulty-wise all prior missions were at most 4-5/10 while this mission was closer to an 8-9/10. (Image attached was my live reaction)
Anyways, just wanted to share my feelings so far. Honestly I've been having a grand ol' time, definitely a fun game. Excited to play throughout the series seeing the games evolve over time.
So far I'd say DMC1 is looking to be a solid 7/10, maybe higher. The combat is fun, the atmosphere is amazing, and the story I'm enjoying, but the somewhat jank controls and bad camera angles (not saying that fixed cameras are bad in general, just doesn't work well for this type of game) make some aspects of the game more tedious than I'd like.
Do you guys think there might be an announcement of a new DMC game in the upcoming state of play?
Will DMC6 finna be upon us??
Blood of Sparda (and some friends)
I did the invincible meme panel trend with DMC characters but after Lucia, I just started adding the most random characters I could think of.
Also, I completely forgot about the dramatic lighting(something I should practice more) that the invincible panel had so this isn't as good as what I wanted it to be but it's too late for regrets now.
I'll either make some more DMC fanart, hopefully with better quality this time, or I might focus on the oc fanfic stuff instead. If I have time.

You're nothing without style in Night City.
And we are Smokin' Sexy Samurai
It's time to 21 may(&over)! This one is pretty lame but still a good one.
Needed to "create" original renders to match the faces, but still edited as u can see. This dante scary me💀
I cleaned some Devil may cry 2 covers for anyone who wants to use them for wallpapers.
Season two music similar music
So I don’t know exactly what the type of music is in season two but I’m in love with it and want to know if anyone knows what genre this is or has any similar songs
