Pretty comfy

This is Millie, she is a ~2-year-old New Zealand rabbit. Millie came from a local farm and she has been a beloved class pet in a middle school agriculture classroom for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, the teacher (me) is moving from Raleigh to Asheville, and therefore will not be returning for the next school year. 

I do not want to leave Millie at school in case she has a subpar “class pet” experience with an unknown teacher and group of students. I am open to taking her when I move, so she will not be abandoned, but I have several life changes occurring in quick succession and my situation is not ideal for Millie. 

So, I am writing in the hopes that someone in the Triangle area is interested in adopting Millie. I will drive pretty far to find her a good home. I also have a lot of supplies that I can send with Millie (including an expandable playpen).

Info about Millie: 

-She is spayed and litter box trained. 

-She is friendly and loves gentle pats down her forehead and back. She can be picked up but she prefers to hang out on her own terms.

-She is tolerant of many things, like letting me pick crusties out of her eyes, but she can throw a fit when she gets her nails trimmed. Standard sassy bunny stuff. 

-Based on her interactions with my cats, I think she would love a rabbit friend. She constantly wants them to groom and hang out with her, but my cats either walk away or smack her in the face. The smacks do not deter Millie from continuing to try getting affection from the cats.

-Ideally she will be in a free roaming situation. However, she can handle being enclosed, so long as she has enough room and enrichment.
