Awaiting recast

I passed everything and was “proficient” in my role, however awhile ago during my shift ,I was admitted to the hospital with heat stroke as my job is very laborious. I’m waiting now to be recast so I’m not a liability to my team, I’m wondering I guess if pt security is a thing? I’ve spoken to many security cast member and even have a few living in my apt complex, I’d love to get cast to part time security I just need some more info on how that scene looks and the likelihood I’ll be able to go PT overnight security :) already spoke with my leaders and they are hip to the idea but it’s not up to them as I’m now at home waiting for recasting even though I didn’t “fail” my job. Any info is much appreciated

Multiple applications

Are current cms able to apply to multiple positions or is it a one and done? Would you have to wait 4 more months to apply to something else?

Any update on add-ons to the Disney bundle?

Before they switched our bundle to ad-free, I was paying for Hulu Live. Since the change, I haven’t been able to add live. Anyone know what’s going on?

Parking/transportation Interview✨

Hello! I have an upcoming interview for parking/transportation. Finally. I’m very excited at the thought of working here and looking forward to it so I’m trying to prepare.

What questions may they ask me (like will it be tailored to transportation?) and how can I be the candidate they’ll hire. I have full availability, many years experience with customer service, and ready to learn. ✨ looking for advice/guidance 🩵 ty

First Day Process

Hi everyone! I recently accepted a job offer for a position at the Glendale location and I was curious how the first day usually goes! I have my traditions scheduled for that day but it’s virtual and it’s for an hour. Also would love to hear about anything else that happens during the onboarding process!

Giving Cast Compliments as a CM

I’m curious about the best or preferred way to send Cast Compliments as a CM visiting the park as a guest. I have gotten quite a few internally, through Recognition, from guests I remember interacting with that I didnt even realize were CMs at the time. So I know looking up on Rostr and sending recognition directly is an option but for some reason I feel shy about that. I usually go to GR to submit them and just proceed as if I am a normal guest. Is either option better or more meaningful?

Advice needed

Hi so I have this super rude lead and I have to walk on eggshells and she’s so short with me and snappy and just gets mad if I ask valid questions and like I’m dumb for not knowing or let alone asking. This certain zone I always get scheduled with her as my lead time it’s not the task I hate but it’s torture working with her yet I’m conveniently always scheduled with her as my lead. I try to be nice and do my job but she’s making it really hard for me to perform as good. Should I go to management or hr ab this? Others dislike her for this reason.

Interview with Theme Park Experience Services - PT, I have some questions!

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting and i just started applying to DLR a month ago. Was immediately denied from Costuming but I have an interview with Theme Park Experience Services - Part Time.

I know that this is a call center job, which I have some experience with, but what are the benefits? I know this is a cast member position, so does this mean I get the same benefits ex. free passes, discounts across the park, free parking, etc., new starting wage?

Would i also be able to transfer after 12 months to a new position internally to something inside the park?

Is the job particularly difficult? Interview tips?

Thank you for any and all help 💙

How to become a park CM

Hi!!! I love Disneyland and want to become a cast member. I’d love to work inside the park though, like food or a gift shop or at the rides or anything really.

How do I actually apply for that? Whenever I look online I only see job listings for hotels or restaurants in downtown Disney. I don’t have hotel experience or restaurant experience but I do have retail experience and sort of fast food (açaí shop) experience !!

Let me know please

How can I successfully transition into a Disney corporate role? 😡

I’m currently working in Park Operations, but my professional background is in IT. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Information Technology, along with more than 10 years of experience in the field.
After being laid off from a previous IT position, I decided to join Disney in Park Operations because I believed it would be a great opportunity to become part of the company and eventually move into a corporate role. I thought being an internal Cast Member would improve my chances.
Since then, I’ve applied to countless positions. Out of all those applications, I only received three interviews, and only one advanced to the final round. The interviews went very well, and I genuinely believed I would receive an offer, but unfortunately I was not selected.
I’ll admit that the experience has left me frustrated and questioning whether I fully understand what Disney is looking for in corporate candidates. Sometimes it feels like only people who make every day posts about how wonderful is work at disney on linkedin every day or use make as men or dye your hair purple for the organization carry more weight than qualifications and professional experience alone.
I’m curious to hear from others who have successfully made the transition from Operations to a corporate role. What helped you stand out? Was it networking, internal visibility, additional certifications, leadership experience, or something else?

What does a F&B QSR Custodial Busser wear at Disneyland?

For context, I just got hired as a F&B QSR Custodial Busser at Disneyland. On one of my forms, it said “New Orleans,” so I figured maybe I’d be working in that area. I haven’t gone through traditions/orientation yet so I don’t know anything.

My main question is: what will my outfit look like? Do I get to wear a costume according to which area I work in, or do I wear the custodial uniform?

I am also kinda confused because the ONLY form that says I am a CUSTODIAL busser is the offer letter pdf. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) else just says “Regular Part Time F&B QSR Busser.” I’m going to assume I am the custodial Busser though, because I’m choosing to believe the offer letter. However, idk. I don’t even know what I accepted 😂.

Some help would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Edit: now I’m confused because I have multiple sources saying that there is no “custodial bussers,” and that bussers are in the F&B realm but sometimes clean waste stations, etc. Can someone give me some insight on this? To clarify—EVERY email, text, document says Regular Part Time F&B QSR Busser. The ONLY one that says “custodial” Busser is my offer letter.

Will Disneyland hire my brother if I already work there?

Hey everyone,
I JUST got hired at Disneyland as a QSR Busser. I ended up stumbling upon the job through the Disney Career website while it was still listed. It was pretty early in the morning, so I just submitted my application. My brother REALLY wants to work at Disneyland, even more so than I. Unfortunately, he was still asleep when I applied. I didn’t think the job listing would go anywhere, so I didn’t force him awake to apply immediately. The day went on, and, into the afternoon, I remembered the job listing. I told my brother that he should do submit his application. He went to the website, and the listing was GONE! Apparently, listings like that get full really quickly, so he definitely missed the window to apply. That was around 2 weeks ago. I had my interview and few days ago, and got hired on the spot. Unfortunately, we haven’t spotted any new listings yet and my brother still hasn’t had the opportunity to even apply for a position yet. I just feel kinda badly. I didn’t even want this job that much, yet he did, and I’m the one that got it. I don’t feel badly about getting the job, just that he didn’t.

So overall, my question is: should I advise him to hold off, stop stressing about trying to stalk the website until a new listing pops up, and wait for me to talk to the hiring managers? Or should I tell him to keep watching for new listings? It’s quite exhausting. And my brother won’t do it. He isn’t the type to actually check the website morning and night, so I’m the one doing it. I want him to get a job there too so we can both work at Disneyland.

Would it be possible for me to wait until my start date and speak with a hiring manager about potentially hiring my brother, or should I tell him to keep looking for listings? (A.k.a. ME looking for listings, then telling him to apply)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

What are the chances of being able to score an interview again?

so I am huge animal guy with a goal to eventually transfer into an animal/education role at dak and maybe even the seas. I have zoo and vet experience and just started a neat job in aquaculture (in fact some of our fish were bought by Disney to live at the seas in the epcot). In January I got an interview for bus driving, tho I have no experience with that all. I was rejected from animal roles which I get, it’s mostly internal and such (roles I meet or exceed qualifications for) even got turned down as a kennel tech when I did that and some tech work.

i just got back home from a background check and did fine. During the interview my recruiter said I can reach out to be waitlisted if I feel second thoughts about the role to which I did, and she then said she’d do so after I get my CDL permit and dot done, both of which are done. my waitlist expires next month and I asked again about it, and another recruiter (scheduled my check but not the one I interviewed with) said there’s abs nothing available at all and if I drop bus driving I have to reapply after July 20. Like I said this is the only time I scored an interview with them despite having more experience with other things I applied for and I fear it’ll just be more rejections if I go with dropping buses. my childhood friend who works at Disney has even tried helping me to no avail. any advice?

im also despatate to escape my family. I live near them and they’re costing me a lot mentally and are trying to make me not go. both like to use me for their errands and tracking my location and are tryng to convince me not to go, the longer I stay this close the more theyre going to stand on this.

Physical Guest Passes?

hello! i received my cast Main Entrance Pass in the mail today, but it didn't come with any physical guest passes. I understand that I can use my MEP 16 times within a year to bring 3 guests, but how do I actually bring those guests? Do I have to link my MEP to their MyDisneyEx. account or do I just show up to a touchpoint and verbally say I'm bringing in 3 guests with me? I've heard about physical guests passes but I'm not sure where they actually come from. thank you!

Career Page

I miss the walk up building so much. After 4 months of not ever seeing attractions/front desk/merchandise ever coming up I heard that it usually shows up at 8 in the morning and gets pulled about an hour later. Ok, fine, I wake up and look earlier now. However, I also noticed that there is more than one Disney career site. So now I’m not even sure I’m looking at the right one. Sure enough, the jobs I have applied to are not all saved to the same dashboard either. Why does it feel like I need a secret link and password to find a job as a CM at WDW again? Are any of these 3 the one that will show those 3 jobs I mentioned above? Thanks!
