Epic Mickey 1 and 2 share place on my top 3 of favorite games of all time. No joke
When I was around 12 I decided to play Epic Mickey 1, it was on a drawer along with other shovelware games my dad bought, I thought it would be from a similar quality to those, but boy was I wrong.
The visuals, the creative paint/thinner mechanic, the atmosphere, the story, the gameplay and the amazing music, all of that made me beat the game 6 times. After that I wanted to play Epic Mickey 2, but I never had the chance of playing it until I was 19.
Despite not being better than the first, I still loved it for the same reasons as the previous one, even playing alone it was a blast. Is more Epic Mickey, what is not to love?
Like a lot of people, I was expecting the games to never get mentioned again by Disney in a major way, but then that Nintendo Direct happened and I screamed out of the top of my lungs, and at the end it did not disappoint.
With the game recently being release for mobile and Switch 2, I still have hope for an Epic Mickey 2 remake. A remake could fix obvious problems that the original game had and making it accesible to a new audience, and if it is sucessful, maybe we could get an Epic Mickey 3.
These two games are on my top 3 spot for favorite games of all time along with Zelda Ocarina of Time and Super Mario Galaxy 2... and I would not have expected that 2 Mickey Mouse games would take that podium.
