Anyone know how to remove the checkerboard effect on water?
EDIT: I downgraded to the previous version, 3.1.2-b, and the issue seems to be gone.
I have no clue how I made this happen. I dont use shaders. The water has this weird checkerboard effect.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem between the real render distance and the distant horizons render distance
If so how did you fix it
So In an attempt to fix a weird issues with my clouds disappearing as my camera bobbed, I switch my renderer to Vulkan and now my horizons are the debug-ish colors. I have added the game logs in the comments, if that's any help. Is it an issue with distant horizons and Vulkan, maybe some weird settings, or just the beta build of DH being buggy?
I downloaded DH but i really have no clue how to use shaders with it. so i searched up a tutorial and tried following it, thought it worked great but ig not.
Heres the mods in the installation file. Am i missing something important?
When I move around it looks way worse, its very grainy from a distance.
Any possible fixes are appreciated
There is a weird bug, when some non-full blocks are in the air, and a block is above them, they discolour the ground beneath them, and create columns from the bottom to the surface of the water, instead of appearing normally where they should be, they are also just not there in some situations (e.g. too close to the ground), I've made a bug report for it: https://gitlab.com/distant-horizons-team/distant-horizons/-/issues/1290 It looks really weird from afar, especially when I'm making such a huge structure above water.
I want to know if there is anyway I could set the distant horizons to prioritize fastly loading the chunks I'm going by, leaving a trail of LODS instead of a gap. like, I can see place I was standing by sticking out like a column. I don't want that.
I've noticed that for some reason, the texture for ONLY birch logs doesn't load or only half loads?
Doesn't matter what resource pack I have on or off. Any ideas? ver 26.2
i searched the mod page but the newest version still have the 4096 chunk render distance , btw that square with the mountains in it is 160km across
Just trying to add DH to my 1.12.2 has become on of my most convoluted installation attempts ever. Can someone help saying exactly what this version is compatible with and its dependencies?
Distant Horizons 3.2.0-b for 1.12.2 not loading in Forge — META-INF/versions/17 / Cleanroom confusion
I'm trying to add Distant Horizons to an existing heavily modded Minecraft 1.12.2 Forge instance, without replacing my existing mods or converting the pack if possible.
I then tried an older 1.12.2 DH version, which told me that I needed Cleanroom.
Afterwards, I tried installing Cleanroom, but the original MC launcher crashed when attempting to relaunch through Cleanroom.
I subsequently found that the newer DH/1.12.2 setup appears to involve Cleanroom, Fugue and Scalar.
I then tried to pursue the Cleanroom route, but apparently Cleanroom is intended to be installed/used through Prism Launcher rather than simply placed in the mods folder.
I installed Prism, but Prism's launcher is not being recognized by cleanroom to install it.
TL;DR:
My working Forge 1.12.2 pack
↓
DH 3.2.0-b
↓
Forge can't recognise DH's JAR (says it might be corrupt (it's not))
↓
tried older DH
↓
Cleanroom required
↓
Cleanroom wants its own launcher/installation mechanism
↓
Prism
↓
Cleanroom installer doesn't recognise the launcher

I gave up because nothing works and no one's talking about this online
When I enter and exit fullscreen, the game draws LODs in front of blocks that are actually rendered. It's especially obvious in superflat worlds, where it shows up as a giant ring. It only fixes itself when I save and reload my world. This issue occurs both with and without shaders enabled.
Hey guys! So im using distant horizons with bmc4 modpack ( mc version 1.20.1, java 21) and im running in to this problem where the lods pop in and out/ change quality non stop (more so when zooming in on them). Another problem i face is lods really close to me having really low quality that i cant seem to fix with any setting i make. Last but not least, i dont know if this is related to DH or not, but using bliss shader, the fog in the distance and sun rays have a grainy like visual bug in them, like an old tv without signal. If anybody can help me with any of these problems, id be very greatfull!
I tried to play with some option on the DH menu, but I don't know what's the problem.
I only have chunky, DH, and a few performance mods
I also have the jjthunder to the max data pack, but I don't think it affects this
On my system, version 3.2.0 gets ~40% lower framerates (example: 119 vs 167 FPS) than 3.1.2 and earlier. This pattern persists on every combination of OS (Windows 10 or 11, Linux Mint 22.2), modloader (Fabric, NeoForge), garbage collector (G1GC, ZGC), memory allocation size (4 GB, 6 GB), graphics API (OpenGL, Vulkan), and game version (26.2, 26.1.2) I thought to test - although I did not exhaustively test every combination of those variables.
I posted an issue about this, which got closed seemingly because the issue didn't show up on their end. They suggested turning off LoD textures, which is a perfectly logical step to take - unfortunately, it doesn't do anything on my machine.
Ultimately, I'm still working with a sample size of one here - I only have the one hardware configuration (R5 3600, RTX 3060). Is anyone else out there having this issue?
(Issue was fixed thanks to MarijnIsN00B, i just had to disable bclib's fog on the config folder,)
i've been trying to fix this for the past 3 hours and i think im going crazy
im not sure on what i did or what's causing it exactly
i tried: messing with distant horizon's fog settings
using mods to remove fog
using resource packs to remove fog
i forgot to include it, its my first time posting something on reddit
im on fabric 1.21.1
i dont know if its relevant but here's my modlist
