Update (getting extra support here) + the Bed Tent!!

Hi there friends!

It's been a while since I wrote. I'm taking my new meds (we haven't lowered the potential medication that can cause compulsive shopping yet because I thought I was doing better).

I am having a slow trickle of money going out of my wallet at DT. :-/

It's not really an improvement. We'll say it's been a rollercoaster as I had some hope earlier AND made it 13 days once thanks to the challenge in May here.

I finally asked my man to help me. We've been sharing finances for about a year now and I just asked him if we can set up a system. We've worked out a few details but it has already started!

My parents did something similar and a close friend years ago did it with her partner. Hopefully it will help. I really need support with this.

About the bed tent. A few have asked as I mentioned it in a past post. It's a black, round kind of tent (keeps sunlight out but we put lights up in it here and there - haven't found a good set that lasts unfortunately). I may take pics for y'all when we have the lights up again! But not yet - we are moving this weekend!

Anyway, if you google bed tent, they have so many varieties. I got mine on Amazon, but the listing is dead now :-/

How are you all doing? No really.. You read my post. How's it going with shopping, if you feel like sharing? (I'll respond asap as the move allows). <3 to you all!

June empties - all DT this time

I think I went through a lot of wipes b/c of the heat :-P I'd rebuy most of this. Maybe not the two mascaras, I wasn't too happy with them.

Plus this week's nails and my pimple sticker. haha

Dollar Tree Paint for the Win!

Instead of shopping at Dollar Tree today, I decided to use paint and brushes I purchased from there and $4 thrifted shoes to get a little creative. I'm a teacher and these will be great for school this coming year!

These are tiny, but great!

Not trying to influence you to go on a DollarTree shopping spree, but if you happen to go in a DT and see these, my opinion is they are great and you might want to try. I'm a chapped lip "girly", so I'm always on the hunt for something that will help.

I picked these up at 2 for $1.25, and while they are tiny, they pack a punch. Every single scent smells nice! I did purchase all scents. They glide on incredibly smooth, feel super moisturizing, and actually stay on your lips. I would absolutely repurchase these!

Hand Sanitizer upcycle

Try this not that (sorry for the old Drake meme. My mind is stuck in 2015).

When your hand sanitizer is empty, you can fill it with Put a Lid on It (or Diaper Pail Spray, both by Great Scents) to make spraying into your toilet easier. The large bottles become awkward to hold as they get empty.

For some insane reason my Dollar Tree sells pocket / travel toilet spray for $5 each. On the website it’s supposed to be $1.25…maybe it is $1.50 because it is a household item, like cleaning supplies have gone up. But it rang up $5 last week, so I had them take it off my bill, and I returned it right there at checkout. One week later the sprays are still by the checkout with the $5 price tag. I’m in NYC.

A little glow!

I dumped the B-Pure bronzer drops into the Cashmere vanilla cream body butter to create a nice little cream that adds a bit of color as well.

I let it dry before I dressed and there was no transfer to clothing. I feel like it gave me some nice color.

I've seen others do this so I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleased with the outcome!
