Statement on the UFC Freedom 250 Event
Zac Brown had no business being on that stage.
By taking that spot, he completely missed the mark and showed utter disrespect to what that moment should have represented. The only people who belonged out there honoring the 250th birthday of America and standing together were Carrie Underwood and Savannah Guthrie, alongside the Guthrie family.
Instead, we are looking at a heartbreaking milestone: Nancy Guthrie has now been missing for 180 days, closing in on six full months.
On a day meant for unity, the focus should have been entirely on the Guthrie family—honoring Nancy, a beloved mother and grandmother who is still missing, and giving Savannah and her family the space to honor her memory. Stepping into that moment and hijacking that platform didn't just disrespect the occasion; it dishonored Nancy, the Guthrie family, our nation, and God.
Zac Brown needs to step back and realize the damage done. Our focus belongs on the truth, honoring Nancy, and standing with the Guthrie family.
