Workshopping a nation concept

Workshopping a nation concept

I've read some articles that a colony of octopus have constructed a rudimentary "city"off the coast of Australia and after finding this particular image on Pinterest it gave me the concept of human sized octopod civilization in dominions.

What I'm here to ask Is what unique functions they should have going along with what types of units and potentially spells. I am quite certain the Kraken pretender God should be much cheaper for them. but I would love to hear all of your ideas.

Goofy/cheese strategies for LA

I'm searching for different strategies for my next LA game with friends. The way we play the game is quite "unoptimal" and I'd like to use some bizzare strategy that will get us a few laughs for my next game.

Examples for strategies I'm looking for:

  • Flying sacreds with death explosion bless
  • Some weird/harmless looking pretender that will be thugged out to solo armies
  • Mass spamming Likho armies as MA vanheim to generate as much unrest/bad events as possible for enemies

Just me or is Raga bad under dom6?

I seems like of all the nations that got hit with the 2 cost sacred tag Raga didn't really need their sacreds to be more expensive in holy points. The griffons are not anywhere near as durable as they used to be and the nation as a whole is just not that strong. Although you can ensure you are getting griffons all year it's still far fewer than you used to be able to recruit.

I tried to compare them to zymetia moose knights, and the knights are just far more durable by comparison so they do seem like they have that tag justified.

Is there a bless that I'm just missing out on or something that makes raga griffons fantastic? I tried a calvary stat bless and that did not do well at all since the griffons have such low defense. So I tried a giant type hard skin / enchanted blood / weapon bless and that was bad too.

Do I need some bless that makes the yazad / daevas good and work on death and summoning them instead or something like that? But they are super expensive compared to condors and etc from other nations.

Phlegra vs Sceleria Advice

Im phlegra in a singleplayer game fighting against sceleria. I was doing pretty well at first but im having trouble now advancing through bordes of undead chaff. I got a province with H2 priests and was thinking of giving them a crown of command to insta communion and spam banishment. Is it viable or does phlegra have any other way to deal with hordes of chaff? Any tip or advice is welcome, kind of a noob.

Dog vs Man

I find the random events in Dominions hilarious and my monk being attacked while studying in a library to be *chef's kiss*

Elf Bare Mounts Bless Strategy

With mounts being naked for Elf nations in Dominions 6, are they still good to build a bless around? What are the typical blesses that are tailored for them?

What's out there?

So I'm sure this has been discussed multiple times, but I stumbled upon a comment on a YouTube video about horrors and what exactly they are, and this specific comment mentions something I've seen multiple people state throughout my time playing Dominions.
Basically, when a god ascends as pantokrator, they rule until they essentially get bored, and they begin to investigate an alluring sound or song of some sort within the void, outside of the realm Dominions takes place.
Now I have heard from multiple sources that it's possibly some kind of astral horror of immense power that lures pantokrators to their demise, and essentially feasts upon them.
I think it has also been referenced that the cataclysm mode, where horrors eventually start invading after a certain amount of time has passed, ties in slightly with the ascension ending message or that the world becomes a very bleak place (never seen the cataclysm ending message).

On another note, what are horrors even? They seem more demonic than demons themselves as they feast upon people's suffering, fears, dreams, and flesh itself, much like how demons are usually described... but much worse.
They interest me so much, but are so mysterious... I guess that's what interests me about them.. the suspense of not knowing is scarier than your average devil or demon orchestrating the fall of a nation *cough*. They are apparently inspired by the Horrors from Earthdawn, which also gives some pretty interesting lore on them.

One final thing, the R'lyeh summons, could they also be classified as horrors, or are they just some sort of offshoot? Like, are they just otherworldly beings that only share the idea of being from another dimension, or do they come from the same place as the horrors?
