Is this real? No tag inside but I know some of the earlier ones don’t have. The logo is stitched but glued onto the bag but overall is feels really high quality and sturdy.

I found this dooney while thrifting for $55...I left it behind because it seemed overpriced, but now I'm second guessing myself...good condition, but some deep scratches on the back. Inside looked clean tho. What would you have done?

I have too many bags and don't seem to really reach for the bucket bag style. This is an incredibly beautiful bag. Still has that new smell to it! I have the original dust bag as well. It has been stored lightly stuffed to preserve the shape.

Hi all,

I recently purchased this bag from a consignment store and, after looking at it more closely, I’m questioning whether it’s authentic.

The store told me they take authentication seriously and verify items before selling them, but a few things are making me unsure. I don’t see any interior tag, and the logo/stitching looks off to me — especially because the logo does not appear to be stitched fully through.

I really like the bag and would love to keep it, but I also don’t want to have overpaid if it turns out to be fake. I’m not an expert, so I’d really appreciate any input from people who know more about authenticating these bags.

Does anything about this look concerning, or are these features normal for this style/era?

I’m moving out of my brand new Marc Jacob’s large scene bag into this new to me old medium sized Florentine satchel. Got her for a great price, she didn’t come with a crossbody so I just stole the one from my black/black Cameron 😂

I’m not even that much of a Star Wars fan, but I loved this idea, and a Star Wars Dooney is always going to be cool!

UPDATE: SOLD, as much as you ladies tried to convince me to keep her (which I appreciate) I feel better knowing she’ll go to someone who loves her more

I recently purchased this STUNNING bag from a D&B FB group and as beautiful as she is I can’t hold on to her. I fear I’ll never use her and I would much rather her go to someone else who is interested instead of sitting in my closet.

Does anyone have any tips to clean her up so I don’t damage it? Small blemish on 2nd pic.

Just received this from ILD. Was not sure about the size at first, seemed too tall. I extended the strap to the maximum, wasn’t easy on the fingers, but took only maybe 4-5 minutes and it’s secure. Also once I filled the bag the top now naturally folds like in the picture. Got the Ostrich Large Framed Purse in Fuchsia to match, and it’s darling.** **Color was chosen for Breast Cancer and seemed to be out in other shoulder styles that could have worked.

My very first Dooney and Bourke. I’ve seen a decent amount at my local Goodwill here and there but the prices have been “high”. That is, until I came across this one today for only $19.99. It has seen better days and needs a good scrub but I have all the right leather care for that! Excited to get it polished and take it out for a spin.

Yeah. I think I'm done. I check the I Love Dooney site near-daily trying to find a good deal on a bag. I'm pretty flexible--I want a satchel and I don't want to pay $400 for it because that's nuts. I used to collect Dooney bags back in 2020 and they were less than half that. I've had my eye on a Sorrento 30, which is a satchel. Here's the experience I've been having trying to buy ONE bag:

Every morning they have ONE SINGLE Sorrento 30 in Fuchsia, and then by the time I put it in my cart it is gone. I do this at 4:30am because that's when I get up. Anyway--this morning there appeared to be several colors, and the price on the main page said $139 - $398. Not a single color was $139. Ok. So pass on that then.

So I get back online later when I have a moment--just now--and find this satchel. Note the number of colors and the price in the first pic. That's the main Clearance tab page. But when you click on it (photo 2) there one color, that color wasn't in the initial list, the price is different, AND IT SAYS BOTH IN STOCK AND SOLD OUT AT THE SAME TIME.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. But I think I'm done with Dooney. This shopping experience is ridiculous.

Anyone else noticing this?

Oh--and then I see people on social media saying oh I got this on sale and with a coupon code. HOW? There are no working coupon codes anymore. BLARG!

Sorry, I get this is a first world problem, but it should NOT be this hard to exchange money for a purse.

This past month I’ve been obsessed with finding one of these watches in relatively good condition (minus the bands because that’s almost impossible)😭 found this one on eBay for around $30 and decided to pull the trigger. The face of the watch is all i cared about and it’s near perfect condition with the no missing stones! The bands are pretty bad but I’m just going to switch them out with different ones. Either way im really excited about this find! 😊

So I ran to Ross earlier to see what they had (did I mention I’m addicted?) and I found a black Pebble Grain Paige Sac for $55. The store did disclose the zipper was broken but I figured I could have that easily fixed. I also grabbed a Canvas Pickleball Duffle 40 for $30, I don’t play Pickleball but my in-laws do so I figured it would be a nice gift.

However, once I made it back to my car I took a better look at the hobo and saw that the inside was stuffed with random tissue paper and there were obvious wear stains on the inside so I walked back in to return it. Sometimes the store finds aren’t always wins, but at least I was able to return this one.
