Just finished watching the episode of Evangelism with Zymba, and I love that she’s open to talk about wanting to have her first intimate moment with someone. But first, jowa raw muna.

Hindi ako super fan ni Zymba and I feel off at some point whenever she talks about her faith, but I love that she was able to showcase how she is not
just a church-gurlie, but someone who’s very forward-looking with her faith. Kapag hardcore religious ka kasi, may tendencies na you’ll be able to be preachy about what’s wrong and what’s right, but this specific part of the interview is what really piqued my interest.

She wasn’t bragging about being a virgin, but rather, being open to say to everyone that she’s one, and that she’s hoping to break that but with the right person. Hindi pagiging hipokrita na maging religious while also praying na maging vulnerably open to someone that would help her become more loose in mind and in spirit (and physically lol), but yeah, we got the point, right?

It’s also a way for people to know na sex doesn’t necessarily have to be a sinful thing to do, and it’s part of life that you have to go through. And this is not just applicable to science, but can coincide with faith because you’re praying for it. Ang ganda nga nun diba, na itinataas mo sa Creator yung mga bagay na alam mong taboo as a topic for many of us, but you’re just being sincerely honest to Him — something you won’t be able to do fully with anyone else.

There’s a lot that they tackled, but for me, it’s the highlight of the interview. That prayers doesn’t have to be a scripted routine, but a sincere activity that you do wholeheartedly, with honesty to what you have in mind and what your heart really wants.

Sabi nga ni Eva, hindi naman kailangang maging imahe si Lord na hindi mo kayang maabot. Na dapat ang turing natin sa kanya, kaibigan na napagsasabihan natin sa lahat ng ups at downs natin sa buhay. And that is also what I practice personally. Na may sarili kaming language ni Lord, pero with “po” pa rin. Hahaha.

May that bring new inspiration to the community.
